I've just ventured into the underground for the first time. I havent had a fat hippo burger for at least 2 years and i am happy to say it still does not disappoint. I used to work at the one in Jesmond during covid so I know they use good quality ingredients. I had a buffalo chicken burger, fries and a drink and it was just under 13 pounds. Absolutel bargain for the quality of good you receive. That bun is softer than a clouds fart and I'm here for it. Also that ranch sauce is the nectar of the gods. Would highly recommend 👌 👍. Also staff are very attentive and pleasent so well done you.

It was an enjoyable meal! Not the best we’ve ever had, but not the worst. The burgers were huge and we had to contemplate how to eat it in one bite. There were lots of veg/vegan options which is unusual for a burger joint! We ordered the loaded tots which I would get again! The cheese balls which I would NOT get again. There was too much cheese and the dressing had a LOT of dill in it. We also got a decent burger!

The food was great! I really loved the burger, it was delicious and very juicy. Their chips were very nice too! The service was a little bit slow to bring out the food and when they arrived to the table they seemed in a rush. It might just've been a stressful night. Anyway, the place is also amazing, it is underground and very cool decorated!

The OG of all fat hippos. The original restaurant that opened never fails to impress, I have been here 3 times now and the food is always exceptional. There is such a wide variety of options to choose from & the burgers are always juicy. The only thing that let's all fat hippos locations down is the selection of drinks. But do you come here for drinks? No, you come here for the outrageous smash burgers. Can cater for most allergies & the flavour still bangs, definitely recommend trying fat hippo out, whether it be here, brum town or London.

Incredible milkshakes! We were served by Ross who was friendly and helpful at helping us pick the flavours. We got Dubai pistachio, coffee and vegan coffee milkshakes and were super happy with them!
