Dave's Hot Chicken Fort Worth

I purchased a #1 meal with medium spice level. The chicken tenders are very tasty. The level of spice was a bit hot for me. I believe next time I will choose the Lite Mild spice level. I like the season on the French Fries! $13.00. Oh, mix the honey with the Dave's sauce. It taste great on the tender.

Went for the first time and it was great. Staff was kind and welcoming, as well as happy to help me and my family figure out what to order. Food is great. The fries are seasoned fantastically and the chicken sliders can be customized, so you pick how hot you want them. Would absolutely go back once more

I wanted to like it so bad. I tried to convince others to give it a try; all I’m left with is sadness and friends upset at me for recommending they try it. Ordered those little hot chicken sandwiches with fries and drink. The fries I can say I was happy with, albeit overly seasoned. The chicken, unfortunately, was juicy and nothing else (but suspiciously wet in the center, as if not properly and thoroughly cooked). Hot for the sake of being hot with zero actual taste. Like where’s the flavor? “Hot” alone is not a flavor. Why can so many Nashville-style hot chicken places get it so right, and Dave’s gets it so wrong? Of the other opinions I had shouted at me in frustration from those I recommended the place they try, the standout takeaway was that the Mac n cheese tasted like “toilet water” (I guess that’s a no on the Mac rec), and the chicken tasted like it was dusted with a whisper of chili powder and nothing else. I feel Dave’s is more hype than actual taste, as is with most LA-based concoctions that get injected, infused into the rest of America. That’s a no for me.
