"Food always nice, although quite oily." This was before today! I got a very poor quality of chicken gyro, still full of oil but this time I spent more time taking off the fat than eating chicken! Not even talking of the full amount of fat i already ate in it. It seems as it wasn't cooked enough. It's very disappointing. I wonder if the person that cooked this would eat it herself!! Very small portion of bulgur, I had to add avocado from home to feel like I'm eating something. Really that's a joke! Disregard the picture of the drink, somehow I cannot delete it.

Ordered food - not only was the portion big, food tasty and affordable, but they also gave us 2 portions of free halloumi bites on the house! Such generous people, definitely will order again.

Going Greek has become one of our go-to establishments when we want good food delivered to our door. Everything we’ve ordered has been great. I really enjoy the pita’s smoky grilled flavour—used as wrap for the gyros or simply dipped in the smooth and creamy tarama, it’s all delicious. I recommend the gyro (chicken and lamb are both good) over the souvlaki, as I find it tastier. The spinach pie is nice and flaky. The giant beans have good flavour, although the sauce was too salty, which is just a minor criticism. We will be ordering again at some point.

Really enjoyed tonight's meal from start to finish, especially the child's portion of food — nice, healthy, and an amazing portion. I do, however, want to point out that even though I very much enjoyed it, I think it's pretty clear that there have been some changes in quality of chicken and meat, or perhaps a change of chef, from, let's say, three or four years ago. But then again, that is a long time ago, and we do live in a world where businesses like this find it harder to survive, so I don't really have any issues with that. I'll remain a solid customer, but it's clear something has changed. If I am wrong, then I do apologise. If you haven't been here then go it's still a solid place. 👍 Last thing I'll say is that many people comment on similar things to what I say, but in a less positive or understanding way. If you really want to support smaller businesses, then accept that sometimes, for them to survive, changes need to happen.

Going Greek is Going Downhill Takeaway from the Colindale branch – Friday, 2 May 2025 Sadly, this once-excellent place seems to be cutting corners. The photos speak for themselves – this is what £12.00 gets you now. There are no holes in the chicken pieces from skewers, unlike in the past when they were properly grilled. That’s likely because the chicken portions are now too small to be threaded onto skewers at all. Of course, prices have increased across the board due to higher costs of produce and electricity. Customers understand this. But raising prices while reducing quality is unacceptable. It's not just disappointing – it feels like an insult to loyal customers who supported you when the food was genuinely good. If this is a wider cost-cutting directive across all Going Greek branches, it's a very poor business decision. Word will spread, and you'll lose your regulars. And although I wish it weren’t the case in 2025, I must echo what another reviewer said: there's still clear favouritism in how quickly people are served and in portion sizes. It’s disheartening. You may as well rename the chain “Speak Greek”. This is no way to treat customers – and no way to run a business.
