Mediterranean inspired restaurant and lounge

I checked out @no5dining a lovely Turkish-inspired restaurant and lounge in North London. 

The decor is very Instagram-friendly and has a great vibe - I went on a quiet Monday evening and took my bestie out for his birthday.

The starters I had were all excellent. 

My favourite dish was the Crispy truffle croquettes - filled with truffle, mushrooms,  onions and bechamel sauce, coated in a crispy and light bread crumb roll - this was so good i ordered it twice - A MUST ORDER

The scallops were very good as to the octopus which had a delicious charred taste. (note octopus might not be permissible under certain schools of Islamic thought) 

I got the fillet steak, it was cooked more towards medium than the requested medium rare, it didn't have a deep flavour profile, I've definitely had better. I think the Kitchen rested it for too long, by the time it got to me the temperature wasn't hot. It was also served with Macadamia paste, beetroot purée and quinoa which really was a strange combination that didn't work, but it did come with chips. 

My mate got the lamb shoulder, 14 hour slow-cooked lamb moulded in 2 discs on the plated served on carrot puree, I found it just okay, I expected a richer level of flavours.

For desserts, we moved to the stylish lounge area, where we shared a Chocolate bowl a fun dessert that's dropped onto the table; inside the bowl, you'll find loads of sweet treats like brownies, ice cream, macaroons, strawberries and toffee cake served with warm white chocolate poured on top. I found it too sweet for me, 2 of us couldn't finish it. 

This spot would be ideal for a special occasion, girl's night out or date night with live entertainment from Friday to Sunday. Kids under 12 not permitted. The starters were fantastic but the mains I had were a little average. The drinks were very balanced and well made.

I thought it was gonna be one of those places where the decor is the priority over food, but I was wrong!

Are lounge restaurants more STYLE over SUBSTANCE?

I have to say @no5dining actually has both style and substance.

For a special occasion we visited @no5dining and have to admit the food was stunning.

Has to be one of the best Wagyu steaks I've had this year. Seasoned to perfection and prepared to a mouth-watering medium rare. It was so good.

The venue is huge, with a modern and stylish decor.

My only critique is that the Mocktails are limited and not very memorable.

Apart from that, @no5dining is a great option if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion.

No5 Dining & Lounge

The food was delicious, especially the Greek salad, which was fresh and flavorful. The hostesses were welcoming and attentive, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, some of our group received their meals later than expected, even though we had preordered. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience with great food, but the service timing could be improved.

I really enjoyed my dinner and lounge experience at No 5. The staff is friendly and attentive, especially Mus who served us. The food was delicious. I really liked the mushroom pasta and our ice dream dessert came with sparklers, which added a nice touch. There were also dancers in the venue and they brought a great vibe. The shisha was also very good! Overall a fantastic evening with my friend, I would definitely come back for a dinner there.

Had an amazing night at No5 with a friend! From the moment we arrived, the experience was top-tier. We were served by Simona, who was warm, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

The food was both delicious and beautifully presented. The croquettes were incredibly gentle and honestly the best I’ve ever had (definitely would recommend it for a starter). The octopus dish looked like a piece of art and tasted just as good. We also had ribeye steaks with creamy mash, sweet potato fries, broccoli, and grilled corn - everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly.

We also ordered a passion fruit mousse, which arrived surrounded by clouds of dry ice and topped with a sparkler.

The interior is stunning and has many great spots for taking photos, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

We also found out they have live shows and a shisha lounge, which we’re definitely coming back to check out.

It’s totally a great place for celebrating something special or just a romantic evening.

Our experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The food was amazing and the entertainment kept us engaged and smiling the entire time. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! Everything was truly a 10 out of 10. A special mention goes to Magi, who really stood out. She was constantly smiling, incredibly attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. Her energy and kindness added something extra special to an already fantastic experience.

No.5 has quickly become one of my favorite places to unwind. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. The lighting and music create the perfect backdrop whether you’re there for dinner, drinks, or a night out with friends.

The food is outstanding — every dish feels carefully crafted and full of flavor. Portions are generous without losing that fine-dining touch, and the presentation makes everything feel special. The drinks menu is just as impressive, with cocktails that are unique, refreshing, and clearly made with skill.

What makes the experience even better is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they make you feel like more than just a customer. It’s the kind of service that keeps you wanting to come back.

Overall, No.5 isn’t just a restaurant and lounge — it’s an experience. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or simply treating yourself to a great evening.
