Halal Reviews for Hangry New Hyde Park

I came here on a whim a last week. I tried the Smooth Criminal slice (butter chicken pizza) and the meat lovers slice. The butter chicken slice was absolutely delicious (5/5 for a speciality pizza). It's not your typical New York style pizza - it has a thicker, but still very crispy, crust. The Meat Lovers was a decent slice, but the Smooth Criminal was the reason I came back for a second visit. My second visit was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the Brown Munde, buffalo wings, mango Habanero Wings, and a basic hot dog. The Brown Munde (3/5) was a decent slice, but my friends and I felt that it had too much of the hangry sauce on it, which masked the flavor of the spices. It was still good nonetheless. The hot dog was a let-down, the bun was stale and hard to chew (2/5). The buffalo wings were okay as well, typical wings that can be found at most halal spots. The mango Habanero Wings (1/5) -- my friends and I could only eat one wing each. We can and typically do eat a lot of hot/spicy food, but these were very hot -- our mouths were burning. There was no indication on the menu that the wings were going to have such heat to them. We literally threw the wings out because we couldn't enjoy them. I mentioned this to the staff, which is very nice, but they didn't have anything to say. TL/DR: Stick with the pizza slices. Get the Smooth Criminal.

One of my favorite places to go eat in NY. The staff goes above and beyond to help understand their one of a kind menu. The food, vibes and atmosphere are always a delight to be around. Sonu, Jyoti and the rest of the staff really make you feel a part of the Hangry family. This is one place I’ll always go for a cheat meal! 😋

Local here 👋, First time trying this place, went with my wife. Get the Hangry Supreme and the Heisenberg. It's their best seller. Delicious food, fast service and cool artwork on the walls

Hangry is such a great addition to the neighborhood, and unlike anything in the area! comfort food at its finest.. and all HALAL! Everything in this restaurant​ is photo-worthy (even the bathroom, go check em' out! haha) ​I love the hipster-retro vibes, along with the brilliant menu item names. I already this restaurant going viral with all the local youngsters​ in the area! The staff here is beyond generous and helpful in giving me some great recommendations​ on what to try. My favorite things were the Hangry Wings, the I'm reloaded​ burger and the hangry dog. If it's your first time coming here, you need to try those three things ( Why would someone not want to try a food item named after the restaurant) I definitely​ will be recommending​ and will be back very soon! go check it out, you'll love it.
