Halal Reviews for Thaikhun Quayside

Staff were friendly. Clean and decorated place. The kitchen took its time to prep meals for us. Street rice was alright. The rest though was disappointing. For someone who likes less salt on their dish, I found the lack of salt on the starters and main somewhat underwhelming. Chicken satay is chicken thigh, very low on salt to the point of no flavour and so was the satay sauce. Relish was surprisingly on point. Veg spring rolls were nice with their sauce. Chicken garlic and black pepper felt microwaved and salt-less again. The egg fried rice on the side had more flavour than the main sadly. If you’ve had good Thai food before then don’t expect your palate to be satisfied. Otherwise you might just enjoy it. Portions were good though. Not a place I plan to drop by again.

Excellent experience today, first time we have visited Thaikun and we'll be back! Aliyah was our server and she was great 👍. Really knowledgeable and helpful. Guided us through the starters, as that was what we wanted and what we had was excellent. Sharing platter for 2 and a portion of the Thai fish cakes, all of which were fabulous! We sat in the courtyard at the back, which was lovely and cool and had a little fountain in it. Will definitely be back 👌

Went here last month and the food was so good. The chicken and duck are halal as well which is nice that they cater towards other people. I first went late at night (about 7ish) and it was always busy so make sure to book in advance if you go late. My favourite thing was the Thai tea 😍. Staff are friendly as well.
