Went here in May 2024 with my boyfriend for our anniversary and wow. It was absolutely amazing. The interior was so cool, staff were extremely friendly and helped with recommending things for us, and the food and drinks were UNREAL. My favorite was the dragon roll, it was the best I’ve ever had in my life and I can’t stop thinking about it. Every single food and drink we ordered just blew me away and I can’t wait to come back here. Staff, food, vibes 100/10

I was pleasantly surprised by Chotto Matte Marylebone! Initially, I thought it might just be an Instagram-worthy spot, but it exceeded my expectations. The interior is modern and stylish, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. While the prices are on the higher side (bento box £30, lunch set £40, and sharing menus starting at £65), we opted for Sharing Menu 1 at £65, which included 10 beautifully presented dishes. The variety of sides, starters, and mains was impressive, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Despite the restaurant’s fancy vibe, the portions were surprisingly generous—we were so full we couldn’t finish everything! Even dessert came with two large scoops of black sesame ice cream per person. I highly recommend Chotto Matte for a date or business lunch. The quality and experience feel on par with a five-star hotel restaurant.

Best Nikkei in London! Chotto Matte Marylebone was just fantastic from start to finish! The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine is to die for! The decor was luxurious and the seats were so comfortable, I melted as soon as I sat down for lunch. The team was friendly and really cheerful from arrival to departure. We tried so many dishes, but for me the standouts were the Yellowtail "Nikkei Sashimi," Lychee Ceviche, and Dragon Roll—so fresh and full of flavor. I didn’t have a drink, but the cocktails looked really creative and tasty too; I’ll definitely have to come back for dinner to try them out! Our servers were friendly and really knew their stuff, explaining each dish, the tasting notes, and the ingredients. I’m definitely coming back ASAP.

all the food was good, but the steak was very basic compared to the other delicious dishes. the miso chicken was amazing, and order the black cod if you can. the dragon roll was also very good, but the rice was slightly overcooked.
