As if it were a full-time job, my friend and I absolutely love scrolling through First Table to see what’s new. I mean, where else can you find fantastic restaurants offering 50% off the food? Kachori had been on my list for ages, so finally, it was time to give it a try. We went for lunch and wow, loved everything from the moment we stepped in. The service was flawless, really couldn’t have been better. The ambience was warm, clean, and so welcoming that we could honestly have stayed until dinner. We kicked things off with the matar & truffle ki kachori, then I went for a sensational lamb shank nihari while my friend stuck to her favourite dilli chicken butter masala, all accompanied by dal makhani and cheese chilli naan, and finished off with a masala chai brulee. Naturally, all washed down with a fresh bottle of vinho verde. Everything was perfectly thought through, every detail cared for, and you genuinely feel looked after without ever being rushed. Definitely a place worth trying.

A hidden gem in Elephant & Castle! We went here for a very special occasion recently. Right from the start we were greeted by welcoming and pleasant staff. Pricey but worth every penny! We ordered Samosa Chaat (£8.00), Sticky Chicken Wings (£8.00 for three wings), Dilli Chicken Butter Masala (£16.50), Officers Mess Qorma (£16.50), Steamed Rice (£3.25), Naan (£3.25) x2 and 2 soft drinks (£4.00) each. Food was piping hot and presented beautifully, we asked for extra chopped chilies on the side as the curries were on the slightly milder side but that is purely personal preference. Would certainly return and recommend to anyone who loves Indian food and a luxurious atmosphere. Something for management to take note of, it was slightly uncomfortably hot inside as the evening went on - however not enough to deter anyone from visiting. Also being super picky, would have been nice if they had Indian music on in the background!

The food and vibe were really good and impressive. We went there for my wife’s birthday celebration. For our surprise they gave us a complimentary cake at the end of our meal, my wife was really happy about it and made our day! Thanks a lot to team Kachori for making a great experience. Bimal was really great and his service and behaviour was awesome. He was really kind and served us with utmost respect.

Wow. The food was amazing. Genuinely and surprisingly so. This is not the usual Indian restaurant (no disrespect to this most British of institutions). The approach here is nuanced and complex. The nan sticks alone are reason to go back. We tried quire a few small diahes and all were excellent. Service too was lovely, although you can tell that it is a new business. Drinks ordered before dinner came after we had eaten half the dinner. Water wasn’t automatically served. Etc. But all staff were charming. Cant wait to go back.
