Lovely little hidden gem on the fifth floor of Harrods. The food was genuinely impressive – the sushi roll with crispy tempura shrimp and those bright tobiko toppings was a standout, and the lobster crispy noodles were unbelievably good, rich and comforting without being heavy. The steamed greens and dim sum were fresh and flavourful too. Service was warm and attentive – dishes could have arrived a touch faster, but honestly, sitting in that cool, relaxed dining room made it hard to complain. Easily one of the best Asian meals we’ve had in a while.

The Wagyu pastry was absolutely delicious — rich, flaky, and full of flavour. The lobster noodles were truly top-tier, perfectly cooked with an amazing depth of taste. Every dish felt carefully made, and the overall dining experience was excellent. Definitely a place I’d happily come back to and recommend.

Tucked away on the fifth floor of Harrods, Chai Wu is my absolute go-to for a luxurious and restorative dining experience. The warm, elegant ambiance provides a perfect escape from the bustling store. The food is consistently exceptional—the melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu steak and the divine Kobe beef puffs are must-haves. Impeccable service and flawless food make this a true gem. Highly recommended for a special treat!

Five stars aren’t enough for Chaiwu—easily one of the best pan-Asian dining experiences I’ve had in London, and the location inside Harrods is unbeatable. The restaurant’s sleek, refined decor creates a luxurious yet relaxed vibe, making it ideal for catching up with friends or unwinding after hours of shopping (pro tip: the seating has plenty of space for your shopping bags!). The set menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing a blend of Asian culinary traditions without being overly gimmicky. Standouts include the dim sum platter (fresh, delicate, and full of flavor) and the pak choi, which added a refreshing contrast to the richer dishes.

The atmosphere felt elegant yet comfortable — perfect for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. Would definitely come back!
