Been coming here for over twenty years, although not been in the last 12 months, Anyway really fancied it the other day, always go for curried goat rice and peas with vegetables, really hit the spot and great portion size, left feeling satisfied. £14.

I recently visited this jerk chicken shop and was impressed with the quality of the food. The chicken was succulent, and the sauce was rich and flavoursome, perfectly complementing the meat. The rice and peas were also well-cooked and delicious. That said, I do have a small gripe. The £1.50 extra charge for cooked vegetables, which included some cabbages and carrots, was not mentioned upfront. This was disappointing, especially when another jerk chicken spot on Piccadilly market offers complimentary salad and coleslaw and considering the quantity wasn't huge. Despite this, everything else was great. If they could consider providing complimentary sides or improving transparency around additional charges, this place would easily earn a 5-star rating. As it stands, it's a solid 4 stars. Keep up the great work on the main dishes!

Sorry but this is not authentic Jamaican food- more like “JamaiCON”. As some have already mentioned the jerk chicken is dry and comes at a hefty price. Where is the signature crispy skin and jerk flavouring?? Communication was poor and staff members had asked me 5 times if I wanted sauce- I should’ve taken it as a warning as the sauce was gelatinous and similar to Aunt Bessie’s gravy. To add insult to injury, there was not a single trace of spice.

Usually, get rice and beans with vegetables & plantain as I'm plant-based. I was on my lunch break and heading to a job and could not resist! Ordered a Plantain Split(Vegan Version of Chicken Split) & Vegetable Patty and also, got their Jerk BBQ sauce. Not over the top with the Jerk Spice/heat with a lovely sweet and tangy aftertaste. They stated they have other versions of the Jerk Sauce. I purchased one to compliment my split and patty. Great work! And Levi Roots have a run for their money 😉 Levi knows he is a legend and is happy for another Caribbean company getting praise. Much love to the staff at Buzz Rocks for feeding the community with great food at reasonable prices. Good food does not have to cost the earth and the atmosphere is always good vibes and banter from Buzzrock and the staff. Much continued success to you all!
