East Meats West Halal

It's my first time here. I got 3 Montreal smoked meat sandwich. 2 with mustard and 1 with their toppings minus the mayo. The meat was dry and had a liquid smoke taste. This is Halal, so it's not a true Montreal smoked meat. It was different, but not for me. They also sell alot of frozen meat too. Not my cup of tea! Truly UNREAL cured meat sandwiches. Best in the GTA, in my opinion, and truly unique as it’s nearly impossible to find food of this kind that accommodates halal options.

The double-decker clubhouse was saucy and flavourful. It is non-traditional in the sense that the chicken was cured, whereas a traditional club sandwich would have grilled chicken.

The double-decker pastrami and Montreal meat sandwich was SO smoky and delicious. The mustard added a perfect tang to the otherwise heavy sandwich and the meats themselves were superb.

The family running the shop was courteous and efficient. They have freezers full of frozen meats of kind, bone broth, and much more. All halal. I’ll be sure to be back to try those!

Highly highly recommend. No other spot in the GTA compares to this joint.

I was seriously blown away by this sandwich 😭. I just got a small smoked meat with everything to try, and it was really amazing. The employee let me quickly look where they were making the sandwiches to see the sizes, which I really appreciated. The bread was nicely toasted, meat was tasty and tender, and had the perfect amount of toppings. I'll definitely be back!

The best smoked halal meat I’ve ever had.

While it may look very unassuming, The owner is a really humble and down to earth person who cares about the quality of his product and uses really high quality meat and other ingredients. His son has also joined him and they both do an amazing job.

I’ve been a customer since 2011 and as they have grown he has never compromised on quality.

They also make and sell sandwiches, which has become very popular.

They do not have dine-in, so or is just a pick up to take away. The location is a little out of the way, which are the only downsides if at all!

I would say that this is one of the best halal food I’ve ever had.

Lovely little spot for Halal deli meats and sandwiches!

While it may be a small shop the quality is huge! With fridges filled with a variety of meats such as burger patties, sausages and sliced meats you’ll also find that you can order some of the best sandwiches you’ll find off Cawthra.

Their Reuben is their top seller and I can see why! During our visit they were completely out of their (house made) sauerkraut which speaks volumes for quality.

The woman behind the desk was quick to suggest ordering the corn beef and dressing it like their Reuben as an alternative which was equally as delicious.

Also had the opportunity to order their classic chicken sandwich which included some of the best deli style chicken I’ve ever had.

Both sandwiches were made on fresh marble rye.

Easy Meats West is an absolute gem of a spot and will easily be a fan favourite for many with the quality and affordable prices.
