We were kindly invited to @manakishandnaanza and they really caught us off guard as it’s now easily one of the best spots we’ve eaten at in Covent Garden! The smokehouse chicken pizza included caramelised tomato sauce, chargrilled pepper, chicken tikka, mature cheddar and red onions (we got these removed). Just when we thought they absolutely smashed this combo on a pizza, we tried the Lamb Manoush and WOW! This included spicy lamb, fresh coriander, chestnut mushroom, mature cheddar and Za’atar. Honestly both meals blew our minds away! We’re already thinking about when we can come back 😂

The karak tea was soothing and delicious and to our shock, not being huge fans of coffee especially Turkish coffee, the Turkish coffee went amazinglyyyy with the Nutella (mix this well) 😍. With one of us being from a Turkish background, this might have to be a new little trick 🤫

Such a hidden gem, don’t sleep on this place 👏

Service is very very slow. Only one chef and one waitress.
But the waitress was so kind and amazing!
The food was very good quality and freshly made which elevates the restaurant’s rating.
The hummus tasted like it was store bought. Not freshly made so that’s a negative.
The pita bread had honey drizzled on it. Maybe shouldn’t have that and just stick with the normal plain pita.

I was pottering past this place with mummy and said hello to the lovely lady outside, who had bought a birthday cake for her husband, who runs the place. It was his birthday and we were offered free birthday cake. Mummy doesn't drink coffee, so we didn't try any of the coffee being roasted outside. But if we did, we would certainly have bought some.

I was looking forward to my flat bread. Sadly it wasn't very good. One part was burnt which was okay for me because I don't mind that but the ingredients/toppings were not cooked which seemed a bit odd, the cheese had not melted so it was cold. I ordered the veggie flat bread and it had some lumps of green creamy stuff on top, it didn't taste good, I scraped it off but still the remainder of the flat bread was unappealing. The staff were friendly. I didn't tell them that the meal wasn't good. I was hungry so I ate around the edges and left the rest. I won't go back again. Please up your game because it is a good idea, but if you only sell flat bread with toppings you need to make it the best it can be.

Flatbread nothing like in pictures. Really sparse toppings. I had the “meat feast” which was BBQ sauce with a few random bits of chicken, lamb & minute circle of sausage. We were hungry so it filled a hole, served by a very pleasant waitress. It came in a huge pizza box which was far too big for the meagre offering inside. Drinks were served in paper cups, and the Turkish tea was a tea bag & fresh mint leaves. Disappointing.
