We’re from Malaysia and take our Chinese food pretty seriously—so when we stumbled upon Mrs Chew at Westfield London, we honestly didn’t expect much. But wow, were we wrong! The roast duck was the real standout—crispy skin, tender meat, and full of flavour. Absolutely spot on. The wonton soup was warm, comforting, and really tasty, and the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were juicy and satisfying, just the way they should be. Even the egg fried rice, which can sometimes be an afterthought, was done really well—simple, fluffy, and nicely seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell they care about getting it right. It really reminded us of home. Service was quick and friendly too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a great find—we’ll be back!

Had a quick meal at Mrs Chew’s at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, and it hit the spot. This is your standard British version of Hong Kong-style Chinese fast food think noodle soups, roast meats, and rice bowls all served in a clean, modern setting. It was very busy, which is probably a good sign. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and wait to be called we waited just over 20 minutes, which wasn’t surprising given the crowd. That said, if you’re expecting ultra-fast takeaway, it might feel a little slow. The food was a nice change from what we get back home in New Zealand familiar flavours, but just different enough to feel like a treat. Portion sizes were medium, which was fine for a quick lunch, but for the price, it could have been a bit more generous. Slightly on the pricey side, especially compared to similar places in Asia, but fair enough for central London in a major shopping centre. Overall, a solid spot if you’re craving Chinese comfort food with a quick-service twist. Would go back especially for a fast casual option that’s different from the usual chains.

One of the best Halal dim sum and roasted duck restaurants. A must try when you are in London. The parking is convenient on the ground floor- spacious and light. Parking is about 6-7 pounds per hour.
