There are better places around, feel free to give this a miss. Let’s start with the positives. Portions of the focaccia sandwiches are good. The activated charcoal latte was really nice! Not so great : 1. Front of house lady is not polite. We were waiting for our table and I went in to use the toilet and she pointedly asked me if I was in the restaurant - basically trying to imply I shouldn’t have been using the toilet if I wasn’t a customer (barely 2 mins after asking for a table). 2. Veggie breakfast included two slivers of halloumi. For 15 quid, I’d expect better. 3. Unnecessary 10% service charge just lumped in, unnecessarily assumptive. Customers should be allowed to decide if and how much they tip.

Nestled in the heart of Didsbury, Hare and Kin offers a delightful dining experience with its rustic decor and welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, making our visit all the more enjoyable. We opted for the chicken parmigiana on focaccia, and it did not disappoint. The focaccia bread was a highlight—amazingly fluffy and perfectly complementing the flavorful chicken parmigiana. It was a delicious and satisfying dish that we would highly recommend. The charcoal latte, while unique and intriguing, needed an extra shot of espresso to bring out the full coffee flavor. Once adjusted, it was a pleasant and iced drink. Overall, Hare and Kin is a charming spot with great service and delicious food. We look forward to returning and trying more of their menu.

I visited this café last Sunday afternoon, and despite the bustling crowd—always a good sign!My main goal was to try their coffee, specifically the charcoal latte, which was a first for me. I decided to add pistachio syrup to my drink, and let me tell you, I absolutely loved it! While the color of the latte wasn't particularly eye-catching, the flavor was simply amazing. The service was also commendable; the staff were friendly and clearly busy, managing the crowd well. I didn't get a chance to sample any food this time, but I definitely plan to return for more charcoal coffee and to explore their food menu. Overall, a delightful experience!

Good place to get yourself a bite to eat with a drink and watch the world go by on a fine sunny day. Got the poached egg with avocado on a croissant and a berry mojito.
