Halal Reviews for Flaiva

Tried this place for the first time on Friday 3/10/25, ordered the peri peri ribeye steak box, what can I say? This is now going to be my takeaway of choice, I will work my way through the whole menu, the food was 10/10 from portion size, appearance, taste and value. I was advised by the fella at front of house to maybe phone ahead next time as Friday is their busiest night and it would save having to wait too long (was around 20 mins) the wait time is irrelevant considering the quality of food and the way I see it is if I'm waiting because they are extremely busy yet quality remains the same, then to me that's a good thing, speaks for itself. So if you haven't tried it yet what you waiting for, you won't regret it but you will go back !

Went there because they had a Halal menu and good ratings, but I had not had such a bad-tasting menu. Not even the fries were good..

Tried Flaiva for the first time after watching a recent review. They even offered a 50% discount on the first order you place too which is really good and shows that they obviously back their food and are certain you will come back for more...they aren't wrong. I tried 2 boxes (the Peri Peri and the Jerk box). The Peri Peri was the clear winner for me out of these 2 but I'm definitely going to try some of the others. The Peri Peri chips were a delight (the Mrs even dipped into those and said how good they were). The rice was flavourful and the chicken was nice. I actually preferred the jerk chick over the Peri, but the dumplings were just OK, the rice wasn't as tasty either. The jerk one came with jerk gravy, but again, nothing special there. It was good but it wasn't great like the Peri. Even my kids dipped into these and they won't normally touch anything that looks like it's been anywhere near a vegetable or sauce other than Ketchup... I would recommend you give this place a try especially if you can use the 50% off offer which makes the value for money unparalleled.

Just literally finished our meals and had to write a review. Just got back from holiday, couldn't be bothered cooking and went to my usual takeaway only to find it closed. Decided to take a punt on Flaiva having seen it on a reel somewhere on socials. Having been warmly greeted by a very amiable young lad, who i later discovered is the owner, I placed my order and came back about 15 minutes later to collect. After a lengthy conversation with the lads mum about take aways, I was told that they always prioritise quality food and all hand made in house. I left with my food shortly after and I was desperate for it to be amazing because I couldn't help thinking how refreshing it is to see a family business so passionate about what they do. Let me tell you; it did not disappoint in any way! Fresh crispy fries, succulent and tasty salt n pepper chicken, flavoursome (or flaiva-some i guess) sauces, tender and tasty chicken wings with a real flame grilled smokiness, matched with a punchy peri peri kick. I struggled to finish the box (and I can normally put away a tonne of food), but it was far too nice to leave anything so I persevered until it was gone 😁 I will certainly be back to try other things and can wholeheartedly say that if you're unsure about trying here then don't be as its absolutely superb. I am a bit of a foodie, I like to cook and I like to eat out. I have high standards about food. I only usually leave reviews if it's terrible or outstanding and this falls firmly in the latter category. Great food, and lovely people too who absolutely deserve your business. In Swinton, I can only really think of one other, good reliable and high quality food and now finally I've found another. 5*!!! Go try it!
