East Street by Tampopo Fitzrovia

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. Despite the venue being half empty, we had to call for service twice, which set a poor tone from the start. The Singapore Sling cocktail was particularly unpleasant — it tasted nothing like the classic and was difficult to drink. Food-wise, the Bang Bang prawns were decent, and the Beef Tataki was just okay. However, both the Nasi Goreng and Beef Rendang were major letdowns — lacking in both flavour and substance, with barely any meat in the dishes. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was also below expectations, which added to the discomfort. In general, the experience was underwhelming and not enjoyable. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Me and my girlfriend came to eat here on a random one night trip to London from the Netherlands. Found the place through Google maps and decided to give it a go. Might very well turn out to be the highlight of the trip! The service by Alicia was great, very friendly and we got our food super fast! Great portions, great price too. The food was absolutely amazing and my girlfriend loved the cocktails!

What a find! This place serves some of the most delicious and authentic Pan-Asian food I’ve had in a long time. I loved it so much, I went twice in just four days—it’s that good. Must-order dishes: • Pad Krapow Khai (spicy) • Beef Rendang – incredibly succulent and tender, and when paired with the roti, it’s just out of this world • Pad Thai – beautifully wrapped in a thin egg blanket, and packed with incredible flavour The ambience adds even more to the experience—cool, casual, and full of energy, giving proper Asian street food market vibes. There might be a bit of a wait to get your order, but honestly, every bite is worth it. If you’re anywhere nearby and appreciate bold, flavourful Asian cuisine, this place is a must-visit.
