Honest Burgers Hammersmith

I recently checked out this burger chain on Fulham Palace Road near Hammersmith, and it’s super convenient—only about a 5-min walk from the underground station! The place has plenty of seating, and the staff are really friendly.
We went for two burger lunch sets, and I have to say, the food was pretty solid.
I’ll definitely be back next time!

First of all, I want to say that we really enjoyed the food, which is why we came back for a second/third visit.

However, we were quite disappointed that part of the beers we ordered were served warm. (Again, last time was the problem with the tap) Unfortunately, the staff didn’t inform us of this beforehand or ask if we’d prefer something else. Although we were later given an ice bucket upon request, the beers remained quite warm and weren’t enjoyable. To be honest, I think my friends were too generous in accepting them as they were.

I chose not to say anything at the time, but things became more frustrating when we received the bill and noticed we were charged for the onion rings, which were supposed to be complimentary(the app reward). When we brought this up, the staff refused to amend the payment, saying it had already been processed.

As someone who has worked in hospitality, I completely understand that bad days happen. But I don’t think that justifies serving warm beers without notice or being unwilling to correct a billing error unless pressed.

At that point, I had to firmly ask, “We’re already unhappy with the beers—can you not refund the current bill and charge us the correct amount instead?” I feel that if I hadn’t spoken seriously, nothing would have been done to fix the situation.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience in terms of service, which is why I’ve left a 2-star review. We weren’t expecting fine dining or exceptional service at a fast food place, but you do serve great food—and it would be a shame to let service issues like this spoil the customer experience.

Another cramped but perfectly pleasant London restaurant, this one with burgers incapable of lying, unlike those perfidious scum in other large cities such as Manchester and Birmingham (I'll note that Bristol burgers have a reputation for truthfulness, but have never dined with one).

Their big bacon burger (limited edition, so collect them all now) was a big hit and the price even bigger, but I'd recommend the venue. It's one of the best fast food eateries in Hammersmith, and has some stiff competition.

Speaking of stiff, following my burger I was approached by a lady outside the restaurant who offered to "smash" my "burger." I'm not sure what she meant, and I don't know that she represented the venue or its views, but for the sake of illustration I've sketched her for this review.

The food is great, the service very good but the price is exceptional. I have a large appetite but im always left pleasantly full after a double smash burger, fries, and a couple of tenders. I can get that and a drink for £26 at Honest Burger. Just a two or three pounds more than I would spend at McDonalds to be as full and you get a much better quality of food at Honest Burger. Just great food at exceptional value.

Absolutely lovely burgers. Service was very friendly and fast, even though everyone was visibly very busy. The beer also deserves a mention.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.
