Yoi Ramen Docklands

We visited on a busy Tuesday evening after work and were seated outside. Unfortunately, the outdoor area lacked charm, feeling small and situated on a busy street with limited, somewhat cluttered seating. Despite the less-than-ideal ambiance, the food quality was high. The sushi pieces were impressively massive, and the octopus dish was delicious. However, the large sushi portions were challenging to eat with chopsticks, and we struggled to get our server's attention to gain a fork due to how busy it was. We doggy bagged quite a bit of food, but the quality truly stood out.

I feel like it’s such a risk to try Asian food in Dublin (as an Asian person), it’s either hit or miss. Thankful that this, our last meal in Ireland, was a hit. I ordered the duck breast bento; my son and husband had the ramen. My bento came with some stir fry veggies, rice, tempura prawns, miso soup and two pieces of sushi — all for 14 Euros!! The duck was moist and flavorful. My husband got the dark tonkatsu ramen and that broth was da bomb!! You can tell it was bone broth that’s been cooked for hours. I’ve been to Japan twice and have had my share of ramen, this broth competes with the best of them. I recommend making reservations if you can. We were sat outside (they dried off the wet furniture for us as it had just rained earlier), but we saw a lot of parties being turned away.

Really delicious ramen with excellent service. The flavors were spot on, and I truly enjoyed every bite. A place I’d definitely come back to.
