Stumbled into this restaurant on a busy sat night, didnt have much expectations as the place was filled. But to my surprise, i was really impressed! Silad, the manager, was friendly and welcoming. The server, Tammy, too was a pleasure to be served by. The food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering and everything was exquisite! Especially the Laksa and Ribeye Hor Fun. The food brought us back home, absolutely comforting. 10/10 for everything and everyone. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving a slice of home!

Went here during lunch with family after sight seeing in China town. The staff here direct us to the Lower ground floor which is still empty. We ordered nasi lemak, nasi goreng, laksa Singapore and Kuay teow goreng. All food are good and with large portions. We have to 'tapau' because cannot finish. The staff is helpful and the place is clean.

Huge portions at reasonable prices by central London standards. We liked the Straits Chicken Curry and the Salted Egg Prawns. The food came out pretty promptly as well. They are very popular, so booking ahead is def recommended.

Best Malaysian food in town From the queue outside the restaurant at dinner time, you know it has to be good. True to that, we were not disappointed and came back again and again to try different dishes. Though we waited 8-9min for a table at dinner time, the turnover was very quick. We were in and out in about 30min. No queue at lunch. All staff were friendly and attentive. Frequently checked in if all is well. When we were queuing, staff also came out frequently to ensure managing expectation and update on estimated wait time. He told us roughly 20min but we got a table (by window) within 10. Satay, nasi lemak, Singapore chili prawn with deep fried buns, beef rendang, coconut rice, roti, teh tarik. Every dish was authentic and delicious as it should!!

We popped into Rasa Sayang after a theatre show just on the off chance as it was close. I'm glad we did. Initially frustrated that there was a queue (but to be expected on a Saturday in that area) it was good to see this was being managed by staff popping out with regular reassuring communication about the wait time (Which actually moved quicker than expected). With a vibrant atmosphere, the waiting staff were courteous and attentive, but what really stood out was their immediate understanding of our limited knowledge of Malaysian food and helpfully advised us with our choices and most importantly the level of spice in each dish. Service was excellent throughout, given how busy it was. The food may not look fancy in its presentation, but the fresh flavoursome taste and quantity made this experience great value for money. We took a doggie bag home and it tasted just as good when microwaved the next day (A sure sign of freshness) Thank you Rasa Sayang.
