Went here during lunch with family after sight seeing in China town. The staff here direct us to the Lower ground floor which is still empty. We ordered nasi lemak, nasi goreng, laksa Singapore and Kuay teow goreng. All food are good and with large portions. We have to 'tapau' because cannot finish. The staff is helpful and the place is clean.

Stumbled into this restaurant on a busy sat night, didnt have much expectations as the place was filled. But to my surprise, i was really impressed! Silad, the manager, was friendly and welcoming. The server, Tammy, too was a pleasure to be served by. The food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering and everything was exquisite! Especially the Laksa and Ribeye Hor Fun. The food brought us back home, absolutely comforting. 10/10 for everything and everyone. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving a slice of home!

Huge portions at reasonable prices by central London standards. We liked the Straits Chicken Curry and the Salted Egg Prawns. The food came out pretty promptly as well. They are very popular, so booking ahead is def recommended.

this was my second visit to rasa sayang, and i think it’s a really nice restaurant. great range on the menu, and all the meals feel very nostalgic to me. nothing beats malaysian cuisine actually in malaysia, but i think rasa sayang comes pretty close to that feel. i ordered the roti canai with chicken curry. absolutely HUGE portion of curry, so much so that i felt that the roti was a bit lacking. very yummy and flaky, but definitely not enough to eat up all the curry with. quite spicy, so if you don’t have much experience with spice i wouldn’t recommend. i like spice and i was fine with it, but my friend is slightly sensitive and thought it was a bit much. my friend ordered the hainanese chicken rice, which is another favourite of mine, and it was pretty good. not a huge fan of the rice here but that’s just personal preference not the rice being objectively bad or anything lol. we both got teh tarik, which was lovely considering the colder weather now, and the sweetness helped me with the curry spice haha. seating wise, we got put down in the basement and i found that it can be quite easy to be missed. this happened last time i came, and it took quite a while for us to flag down a waiter, but nothing egregious, just something to consider if you’re hungry. overall a very nice meal that brought back some childhood memories at a reasonable price (for london)!
