Best Malaysian food in town From the queue outside the restaurant at dinner time, you know it has to be good. True to that, we were not disappointed and came back again and again to try different dishes. Though we waited 8-9min for a table at dinner time, the turnover was very quick. We were in and out in about 30min. No queue at lunch. All staff were friendly and attentive. Frequently checked in if all is well. When we were queuing, staff also came out frequently to ensure managing expectation and update on estimated wait time. He told us roughly 20min but we got a table (by window) within 10. Satay, nasi lemak, Singapore chili prawn with deep fried buns, beef rendang, coconut rice, roti, teh tarik. Every dish was authentic and delicious as it should!!

We had a pleasant experience at Rasa Sayang. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the Kon Lee Mee with Hainanese chicken and the beef rendang with egg fried rice. Very delicious meal. The Kon Lee Mee with the Hainanese chicken was absolutely amazing, would highly recommend. The chicken was soft, tender and poached infused in the soy sauce which gave an amazing flavour. Would deffo come back and try other items on the menu!

Just visited this Singaporean restaurant in Chinatown for the first time, and I really liked it! To be honest, I think it’s better than Singapulah, which is just across the street. My favourite dish was the seafood war tan hor — similar to Hong Kong–style dry-fried rice noodles, but with a seafood-based gravy. It was really generous with ingredients (prawns, squid, and scallops), with a silky texture and a smoky flavour👍 If you’re into laksa, theirs is also quite tasty, though my boyfriend felt it was missing some of the coconut fragrance he’s had elsewhere. Lastly, if you’d like to try some special drinks, they also serve kopi-C (coffee with milk) and iced grass jelly. On the menu it’s listed as “Soya Milk with Cincau” — it took us a while to find it after seeing other customers order it 😂. Total: ~£54 for 2 people (including 10% service charge).

I had heard a lot about this place; however failed to impress. Most food we ordered was bland and not even close to some other Malaysian restaurants we have been to. The chicken soup noodles we ordered had no salt or seasoning inside. Service is good, but it’s a quick meal place without much interaction. Hence the service charge is also not justified. I will pass next time.

I loved the food here! I tried the Beef Rendang from my friend’s order — it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the Beef with Black Sauce myself, and I really enjoyed it too. Both dishes were full of taste and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended!
