Had a birthday meal with at @nova_parlour. Food was nice but the standard was low. Korean Bbq wings 7/10 (some had feather still attached) Mac and cheese 8/10 Smash burger 8/10 Lamb chops 5/10 (2 out of 5 chops was too small. Only the normal size ones were at the top hiding the smaller ones. See pictures). Service 6/10 Overall experience 6/10 Because of the design of the table, we were not able to sit comfortably. Edges of the plate was broken and sharp.

First half of the dishes, Firecracker Stir Fry, Dragon Stir-fry, Chops, even the starters bbq wings & calamari’s were very tasty. Second half of the food was a total disaster, service fall apart, half food came first and than the second half after a while. Second half of the food wasn’t edible. Manager however deducted those dishes & offered 10% discount. By than our evening was ruined! Not sure what happened??

Decided to try Nova Parlour while they had 50% off, food was not too bad but not the best for me. The butter chicken pasta did taste of pre made sauce. The smash burger wasn’t too bad but was tad bit dry. The starts were nice and tasty loved the mac n cheese and Korean wings. Overall not bad spot.

Well worth it! Food taste delicious and lot of different options on the menu. Food came quick, was fresh and hot. Desi breakfast was good compared to other places and so was the English breakfast. Karak chai was basic but food made up of it. Nice decor and loads of seating upstairs. Overall a brilliant visit.

Nestled inbetween the plethora of various eateries and shops on Ilford lane is Nova. What feels a little out of place for a restaurant like this. We were seated downstairs although we asked if we could dine upstairs however we were told no and so reluctantly sat downstairs. Staff were helpful and our order was taken when we were ready. Generally food was good and portion sizes were also good too. Felt the wings could have been more substantial and the mock tails were a little weak for my liking, but family were happy with theirs. Definitely worth a revisit.
