The food was delicious and the service was excellent, but there was a girl with long blonde hair who was very unpleasant. We came to the restaurant without a reservation, and she let us in, but we could hear her yelling at the last staff member to clear our table so we would leave quickly. Even when I was leaving, she didn't say a kind word, but she told me, "Next time, don't come without a reservation," and her face was never smiling.

Visited Walnut Persian Restaurant on curry’s mile Manchester, restaurant ambiance was good. We ordered platter number 37 which was enough for two people , platter contains one kubaida kebab, one skewer of chicken boneless and one skewer of boneless lamb, rice, grilled tomato, salad and grilled green chilli, Overall taste was good but it was not as delicious Persian food as tried in London Bahesht restaurant. Kebab taste was really good but chicken and lamb skewers were average taste. We ordered lime Mojitto drink, which I didn’t like much and price was also bit high. This was good to visit once, will not prefer to visit regularly.

From the moment we sat down, the whole experience just flowed—the kind of easy, confident service that lets you settle in and focus on the important stuff: the food. We kicked things off with the starter platter, and honestly? Every single item stole a tiny piece of my heart. Fresh, bold, nothing hanging around in the kitchen too long—the dishes landed on our table quicker than my nephew spots Pidgey (my pet pigeon) on the bannister. Then came the lamb shank… unbelievably tender. It didn’t just “fall off the bone”—it practically handed in its resignation. Silky, rich, and cooked with the sort of patience I wish my smart meter had. My wife’s dishes were just as impressive. Every bite looked like it transported her somewhere peaceful—meat and chicken both juicy enough to make you rethink every dry dish you’ve ever tolerated in life. I didn’t manage to grab photos of everyone else’s food, but trust me, the table was full of happy faces and clean plates. If you’re thinking about coming here for dinner, do it. The food’s on point, the service feels natural, and the décor gives the place a warm, modern charm. Fully recommend.

First time visiting and overall, I really enjoyed the experience. The food was great, with a few mixed dishes: the Ashe Reshteh good but was a bit too solid and not soupy as expected, while the Shirazi salad was fresh and tasty. The Persian herb stew wasn’t my favorite—the lamb tasted off and the texture was more solid than stew-like. On the positive side, the barberry rice with lamb shank was amazing, full of flavor, and the chicken on the bone was absolutely delicious I’d come back just for that dish alone! The strawberry mojito, with real strawberry bits, was surprisingly refreshing and extremely good. Overall, a good experience. Service was great as well. I’d definitely recommend it and would return again!
