Tru Street - Real Street Food

1st time we visited and it won't be our last! Not only is the food so tasty, but the variety is excellent. It's perfect if one of you want American style food, a juicy burger, ribs etc, and someone wants Chinese dishes. The 3 small Chinese dishes are great especially if you are undecided of what you want, and also delicious. Teriyaki chicken noodles and mac and cheese balls were out favourite! Reasonably priced and great service. Also a great bar and restaurant decor.

All I can say is, you need to try this place!

We were enticed by a free taster for the Atlanta chicken outside their restaurant, and their vast menu with dishes from all over the world.

We started with the steamed bao buns chicken and beef, and the chicken gyozas. We really wanted to try the cheese dog, but they were sold out – maybe next time. These dishes were amazing, fresh, and just overall tasty. We didn’t have anything negative to say.

Then we got the hawkers. We chose three: crispy shredded beef (my favourite), salt and pepper chicken, and the butter original (orange chicken, my wife’s favourite).

This was a great option because you got to try many dishes for a greater price.

Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service.

Our only gripe is that they need larger water bottles. £3.50 for 500ml when the food is so spicy is just messed up. 🥲

All in all, don’t miss out and try this place out! Shoutout to Samson for the great service – you did an amazing job, especially enticing us in with the taster.

Nice food, terrible service..!!

Went for family meal, was looking forward to our chosen items as menu has something for everyone.

2 out of the 4 meals came first.. 3rd meal  took another 10 minutes.. the final meal then took a further 10 minutes.. even salt and pepper chips came out 20 after the burger they were ordered with.

No reason provided for the delay..

Food was good when it finally came. I told waiter that the service was below standard and asked them to let the manager know.

When I asked for bill, they had charged me full, even the 7.5% table charge.

I asked to speak to the manager but was told they weren't available.

Waiter then came back to table with 10% discount applied.  By this point I just wanted to leave so I paid and left.

Real shame as the food was nice, but due to the way they handled the situation I don't think I'll be going back.

Came here with my friends after seeing is pop up on my social media. The food looked amazing and did not disappoint. I got the steak loaded fries and you get an option between medium rare and well done (mine were medium rare). The service is fast, making the whole environment really fast paced, the staff are always on the look out to what needs to be cleaned. I forgot a small cake on the table after we paid and left and came back literally not even 10 seconds later to the table being already cleaned and my cake thrown away sadly, but happy to see the 100% cleanliness.
We also ordered different drinks and one got mixed up but that’s okay, loved it anyways. I wouldn’t recommend the place though if you’re looking for a cozy and quiet place lol

The food was delicious although we got our food at different times and ended up asking multiple people for the bill. Other than that it was great, it was busy and can understand the servers are under a lot of pressure. Mojitos were lovely and staff friendly despite the hold ups :)
