I been here countless times. Now I have limited to once a week. I get the bully b cheesecake or molten lava cake with raspberry sauce. Sometimes though the base is hard which doesn’t help with the plastic spoon not being strong enough nicely presented though. The chocolate sauce does go hard quickly but you can ask them to give separately and you can warm then pour at home. Not a fan of the milk cake and small portion. The waffles Mancunian I used to get but since they change the packaging the waffles become rock hard and too crispy whereas when they were in the box type they were lovely tasting and bigger portions with generous amount of sauces but since introduction Of the flat box I feel waffles are smaller and not as good as previously (I’ve added a picture of how I used to get the waffles and were very tasty but I don’t know why change as made a big difference) and ice cream sorry but this was absolutely terrible as could tell you went and got the cheap Tesco brand BUT the cheesecakes either bully b or kinder 2.0 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 and molten are my favourites.

I finally tried the OG Kinder Cheesecake from The Grumpy Baker in Manchester - and wow, it completely lived up to the hype! The texture was spot on: super creamy and rich without being too heavy, with that perfect biscuity base that holds it all together. You can really taste the Kinder flavour - it’s nostalgic, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweet. You can tell it’s made with care, and honestly, every bite felt like a little dessert heaven. If you’ve got a sweet tooth or you’re a Kinder fan, this is the one to try. Definitely one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had in Manchester.

Great location and customer service. Fresh interior and design. Good range on menu. Decent Chai. Desserts are too sweet. A crazy amount of sugar. Did not go down well last night. Tone that down, would be 5 stars otherwise

❌❌❌ We have been regular customers of Grumpy Bakers for some time, but unfortunately the overall quality has noticeably declined. On multiple occasions, the cheesecake has lacked sufficient sauce, and the texture has been inconsistent, suggesting a lack of attention to preparation. Additionally, it is evident at times that some staff members do not appear fully engaged, which affects the customer experience. In our most recent order, the cheesecake again arrived with very little sauce. The sides were quite dry, with only the centre being acceptable. While prices have increased significantly, this is not the issue in itself; however, higher prices should be accompanied by consistent quality and care. It is also worth noting that the premises give the impression of being part of a domestic living space, which does not align with the premium pricing. If customers are expected to pay elevated rates, the product and overall presentation should reflect that standard.

Had the white chocolate and pistachio cheesecake—so good! Creamy, delicious , and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Definitely coming back.
