The coffee was decent, and the hot chocolate we tried, both the regular and white chocolate, was okay but lacked the rich flavor and texture we expected. It’s a good place for a one-time visit. We didn’t get a chance to try the food, so can’t comment on that. The ambiance is amazing, and the staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. The place is also very clean and well-maintained. The drink portions were reasonable for the price.

We visited La Vie café in Manchester based on a friend’s recommendation, especially for their French toasts. My friend had hyped them up, saying they were big and filling. Unfortunately, they were quite underwhelming — small portions and not very impressive in taste. We also ordered the full English breakfast, which was supposed to include halloumi, but it wasn’t served. Overall, the plate felt sparse and not satisfying. The café itself is styled like many trendy spots, somewhat imitating the aesthetic of popular cafés in London, but lacking a unique touch. The biggest disappointment was the service. When we pointed out the missing items and other issues, there was no effort to fix or even acknowledge them properly. Overall, the experience fell short of our expectations. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I don’t think I’d come back.

Really big portions of food which we struggled to finish & personally I’d prefer less feta in my omelette. Still, it’s a lovely place for brunch with yummy looking dessert which we were too full to try!

Walked past this place many times and always thought that it looked absolutely beautiful. Booked a table for breakfast and the staff was not very kind, almost seemed like they couldn’t be bothered with us and although it wasn’t even busy we felt rushed with the food as they came to clear some of our plates while others were still eating. Prices are quite high but the area is usually a bit more expensive so can understand. When we wanted to order water we were told to get it from the fridge and when we said we just want tap water we got weird looks. The shakshuka was good and so were the pancakes, everything else was just ok
