Went here on a Wednesday evening after a walk around the Christmas markets and really enjoyed it! Good portions of chips and the mains are also plenty of food. I had the birria beef tacos and a side of fries. Lots of food - I was definitely struggling to eat it all. The beef tacos had a gorgeous amount of fresh coriander on top (big coriander fan here) and the beef was super tender. The food was piping hot when it reached us and everything seemed very fresh. My partner had the buffalo wings and found them "violently spicy" so also a great place if you like spicy food. I'd definitely eat here again.

They aren’t kidding when they say kongs does some of the best fried chicken. It was incredibly tasty while being really crispy. I would say however the coating is really fragile, you basically take one bite of it and the rest of the coating falls off so it doesn’t really stick to the chicken. The burger whilst being really tasty with an incredible sauce, the bun is wayyyyyy too big and stodgy for such a little patty. The mac and cheese is absolutely incredible and I love that it comes out sizzling and bubbling, they aren’t kidding when they say it’s really hot so don’t just dive on in. There is a timing issue, not that the food took too long even though it was pretty slow but reasonable. It’s more so that the food had different temps per dishes so they’re obviously cooking one dish first and waiting for the others whilst the other is going cold. The waitress is absolutely remarkable, she makes you feel welcome and she’s really down to earth, with tremendous speed of service. I love the subway theme of it as well. Glad to see they’ve still got BMF on the wall as well.

Always wanted to try Kongs (after seeing it on beards meet food) and we managed to visit for an early lunch on a food research trip. Staff were friendly, food was quick and super tasty. Beef tacos and Parmesan chips were incredible. Restaurant has a cool urban look and a well stocked bar. Would definitely return to when back in Manchester to try out more menu items. Really lovely people, equally lovely food. Taco Tuesday is highly recommended but all the food we had was excellent and the stuff going to others looked amazing too. I inadvertently ended up on the leader board just because it's hard to stop the tasty train (had I known I'd have gone for the top spot!) I'm looking forward to another visit if I'm in Manchester again.

Good dirty food. Would recommend booking if you want a table but there’s room on the bar if not. Stacked out tacos, tortillas are a little small so it’s a messy one but would recommend.
