We were looking for something a bit different and really enjoyed our meal here. The goat (mutton) curry was fantastic just about the perfect spice, with plenty of tender meats in an unctuous plentiful gravy. My partner had the all at steak which also impressed with a mountain of pleasantly spiced beef on a cheesy brioche bread with a generous side of fries. Service as helpful and friendly, a really good meal, thank you!

I went along with my husband and children. We were greeted very warmly on arrival. We had not booked a table, but in the large, spacious restaurant, we were seated in a large booth immediately. The young lady that was serving us was exceedingly friendly and helpful from start to finish. She solely made our whole evening very pleasant. She deserves a pay rise! I have visited Afrikana twice before, and each time, I can honestly say that the service was amazing from everyone. My son ordered an item which the server quickly pointed out that it was quite spicy so we opted for something different for him. This was honestly a blessing. We have been to restaurants before where food orders are simply taken with no advice or recommendations made. The food was all lovely. The chicken I ate was slightly tough but the flavours were all delicious. The restaurant is fully halal with a dry bar serving delicious mocktails. There is also a small prayer room that accommodates 3-4 people at a time. The toilets are nicely decorated and kept clean. I would definitely recommend Afrikana for a delicious meal, in beautiful surroundings, and with excellent service.

We had a wonderful lunch at Afrikana, Leicester today(07/09/25), the food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor! Special thanks to Chef Dani for preparing such tasty dishes and to Rumanah for her warm and friendly service. We truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back!

Big and clean place to eat in. Big menu but when we started ordering, the waitress asked us several times to change our picks because they did not have the ingredients in the kitchen. The waitress did not quite paid attention to our order and questions about the menu, she looked as if she could be bothered to work. That was off putting. If you don’t tolerate hot food - this place is not for you. Even their BBQ sauce is hot. The food itself was nice.

New review and a very different story. As this is local to us we are frequent visitors and today’s experience was great. Food delicious. ‘Goat your back’ my tried and tested favourite! My previous experience been completely overshadowed and everything back on track to the usual high standards. Thank you.
