Zen Sushiya is truly a hidden gem in Manchester. I went in with high expectations, and somehow it still managed to exceed every single one. The sushi was absolutely amazing—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. I also tried the ramen, and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever had. Rich broth, perfect noodles… I’m still thinking about it. The staff were amazing from start to finish, warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Amanda, the head chef, was absolutely incredible—her skill and commitment to quality really shine through in every dish. One of the highlights of my visit was getting the chance to make my own matcha. I’ve tried matcha many times before and never really liked it, but this experience completely changed my mind. Learning how to make it properly—and tasting the difference—made me actually enjoy matcha for the first time. Overall, Zen Sushiya delivered an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t recommend it enough.

First time at Zen Sushiya for a birthday meal and we were in the private huts, they were amazing and felt intimate and closed off from the rest of the restaurant. Our server Connie was amazing and accommodating, all of our food was delicious and came out in good time. Also all the other staff members were lovely and polite. They also provided a complimentary dessert and it was all in all 10/10 will definitely be coming back.

We went for the experience in the Tatami area which was comfortable and cool. Sushi was fresh and tasty, the service was super fast and polite, money worth spent. Halal catering beef and chicken!

Atmosphere is great, you can also wear Japanese traditional clothes and book private traditional booths which was a lovely experience. Food was OK, we went more for the experience. Also have halal options!

What a little gem! I would highly recommend and will definitely go back. We enjoyed so much we ordered seconds! The sushi was delicious, highly recommend the King Prawn Dragon Roll and Katsu Curry. Food came in less than 15 minutes and service was fantastic. Thanks for an amazing meal!
