I’ve been going here for a while now but recently the standards dropped off. The last chips I got at lunch time were re-warmed, hard and burnt. I would’ve taken them back but I only have some long for a lunch break. Will try elsewhere next time.

Having read some of the reviews we almost didn't go. Very glad we did. Friendly efficient young staff serving up fresh fish with great chips. The fish was excellent but the chips were the star of the show. Proper chippy potatoes cooked perfectly - golden with some crispness to them - not the usual run of the mill soggy underdone offering as served in a lot of places. Very satisfying indeed - we'll be back.

Been wanting to try here for a while and finally went today! Absolutely amazing chips, we got there about 3pm and they were so so hot, portion size was incredible especially for the price! I had tried another chippy further down the road past the train station but these, in my opinion, were far far greater.

Portions are ridiculous! Spent 15 quid on two LARGE fish and chips the fish was large but you could tell they had just scantilly thrown a few chips in and charged £7.50 each. Been coming here a while and I'm really disappointed this time at how they're overcharging.
