Cakeaway

Walked in and was greeted with loud music and pink lighting. Menu was extensive, with lots of lovely looking cakes on display, but I fancied a slush. They had around 15 or so flavours available, I chose cherry and, although the flavour was overwhelming, it was pretty decent. However, it was £6.99!!!!! Apparently, it's cheaper online. Plenty of parking, slowish service, and some new drinks available that I hadn't seen before, but unlikely I'll go again at those prices.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Waited 2 hours and food never turned up so I drove 40 minutes (promised freebies) received nothing and binned the food. Rude staff. Burger couldn’t be anymore burnt.

I dealt with Cakeaway over the phone, and the experience was genuinely unbelievable. The woman I spoke to struggled with even the simplest parts of the conversation basic information had to be repeated multiple times, and she still couldn’t grasp what was being asked. For someone working in customer service, her level of confusion was… concerning. Let’s just say she did not give the impression of someone operating at full capacity. Then there was the man, whose communication skills were somehow even worse. Every answer was vague, muddled, or completely off-topic, as if he had no idea what was going on. It felt like speaking to people entirely out of their depth. As for the food i can’t comment since it never actually arrived.. but it would most likely be just as disappointing as the customer service. Overall, the interaction left me seriously questioning how this place is even functioning. If this is the caliber of staff handling customers, I won’t be returning and I’d strongly suggest others avoid the headache.
