I visited with my family and ordered the Steamed Chicken & Prawn Wonton for myself; it tasted great, and the meat had a nice spiciness to it. While unassuming on the outside, this place has a great atmosphere, and the decorations and art on display are a treat to look at. The service was great too, and it was overall a brilliant place to try some new cuisine.

Very difficult to find authentic halal dumplings, but wow the dumplings here are so flavoursome and juicy. We had the bao buns and the prawn and chicken wontons, and the chicken dumplings. Beautiful definitely would come back again for them

We've heard a lot of positive things about Gaijin from friends and social media. So after months of anticipation, did it live up to expectations? Absolutely! The food is authentic and you're hit with constant flavour bombs! The pan-fried dumplings are a must! As for the atmosphere and setting? Warm, homely and it has a very cosy feel to it. The service is also superb, all the staff were brilliant!

Cosey Chinese/ Malaysian fusion restaurant, it was busy on a Saturday night but the food was definitely worth the wait. Their bao buns and dumplings are popular. We tried the "lamb on crack" which was tender and perfectly cooked. Loved the chilli honey cavli. Portions are generous and the food came out piping hot. Service was friendly. Probably best to get a table near the door as it gets very warm nearer the inside. One thing to note is that they are cash only and parking is a bit difficult as it's on a busy street in Levenshulme. Booking recommended, especially on a Saturday night. Definitely worth a try
