⭐ 1-Star Review Visited the KFC near King’s Cross and was genuinely surprised to find they don’t accept American Express. Smaller shops and off-licences nearby say they can’t take Amex due to costs — fair enough. But a major franchise like KFC refusing it makes no sense. Almost every big brand accepts Amex these days, even independents like METI. For a global chain to operate like a corner shop is disappointing. I only use Amex, so I had no option but to leave and buy food elsewhere. KFC really needs to sort this out. For a brand of this size, not accepting a standard payment method is unacceptable in 2025.

As a foreigner without any local telephone number, best avoid buying from this branch. If you encounter any need for a refund due to double payment, the staff and manager there does not proactively help you resolve the problem. They only continue doing their work and only give you a number to call without any regard for your holiday plans and say they cannot do any refund in their store. You can tell that this error of double charging their customers is frequent as they immediately tell you not to worry and you will receive refund 24-48 hours time immediately but you dont actually get the refund on your card. They can only offer you food equivalent to the same value as a compensation. what for? am i going to eat kfc everyday when im on holiday? More use of brain cells is needed instead of just thinking whether the food is cooked or raw review of refund process is needed to avoid this poor experience.

I had an amazing experience today at KFC in Kings Cross. It was the best meal I’ve had! I’ve tried chicken items at other locations they were not so good, but today at Kings cross KFC the taste was exceptional and the chicken was cooked perfectly and the service was also good. I'm loving it, and I hope they maintain this quality!

I was at this branch, and honestly, I did not have the best of service and neither the best of products. The chicken that day was salty. The staff didn't give much attention I had to practically be begging for condiments. The dinning were not well cleaned. I didn't have value for money one bit. I had expected KFC to do better but none. The lobby area weren't well taken care of.
