📍🇺🇸 Birria Tacos 😍 from @elhalalamigos in California! Was so great to finally try authentic halal Birria Tacos 🌮 we ate their Birria tacos, Birria Torte, Narchos & Agua de Fresca drink - everything was so so delicious 🤤 especially LOVED the Birria Torte which was a thick sandwich filled with Birria meat & avocado- the bread was dipped in Birria consommé before melting lots of cheese on it🧀 their Narchos & Birria Tacos were amazing, and I loved their NAR hot sauce with everything 🔥 whilst their Agua De Fresca drink was very refreshing- it was made with cucumber, pineapple, mint, lemon & cactus juice🌵 would highly recommend adding @elhalalamigos guys to your travel bucket list! 👌🏼

El Halal Amigos

Parking can be challenging if you try to find close by on the street (we were lucky and we got it right outside) though there happens to be a big parking lot pretty close that can address this easy.

Absolutely finger-licking good food paired with some of the warmest hospitality you’ll find. The hosts were welcoming, and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. We had a lot of questions and they were incredibly patient and happy to walk us through everything, which made the experience even better. The place itself is nice and cozy, with a comfortable vibe that’s perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a full meal.

Now let’s talk about the food because wow. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with care:
Birria Plate:  rich, deeply flavorful, and cooked to perfection
Super Burrito: generously stuffed, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying
Nachos:  loaded, fresh, and impossible to stop eating

Every bite was bold, comforting, and downright delicious the kind of food that makes you pause and say this is really good.

Highly recommended, and definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.

We stopped by El Halal Amigos and were absolutely blown away. We ordered the quesabirrias and the barbacoa, and both dishes were packed with incredible flavor. The quesabirrias were cheesy, crispy, and full of tender meat. Eeverything you’d hope for.

But the real star of the meal was the barbacoa. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and so flavorful that every bite practically melted in your mouth. You can taste the care and authenticity in every dish. Even the rice and beans were cooked to perfection. Rich, comforting, and the perfect complement to the main plates.

El Halal Amigos isn’t just about great food,  it’s an experience. The sauces, music, and vibrant decor make you feel like you’ve stepped right into Mexico. One of the best Mexican spots in San Jose, hands down. Can’t wait to come back! 🌮🇲🇽

If you’re looking for some tasty halal nachos, I’d definitely give El Halal Amigos a try. The nachos were packed with flavor, loaded generously, and everything tasted fresh. The portion size was solid and the toppings actually complemented each other instead of feeling thrown together. The overall experience was great, from the quality of the food to the friendly vibe of the place. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving something flavorful and halal.

El Halal Amigos in San Jose is hands-down one of my halal favorite spots! The chicken and beef tacos are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, you can really taste the quality in every bite. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy your meal. It’s also in a nice, convenient location, though parking can sometimes be a little tricky to find during peak hours. Overall, it’s absolutely worth it,  highly recommended!

We travelled quite a distance to come and try a genuine halal Mexican menu and it was worth every mile!! The food was scrumptious and the owner couldn’t have been friendlier and more accommodating… wish you weren’t the opposite side of the world to us otherwise this would be a regular for our family!!
