The food scene in Italy is great, but apart from the usual Halal Kebab places, we did not come across any Halal contemporary Italian restaurants.

So upon our return home, it was so serendipitous to get invited to @lafenicelondon, a rare fine dining Halal authentic Italian restaurant in London.

I have to confess, my expectations were low, as I've been to other Halal Italian restaurants in London and not had the best experience. However, at @lafenicelondon we were really impressed by most of the food.

Here are the dishes we tried:

Saffron & Mozzarella Arancini £10.50 
Garlic Bread & Iconic Arrosticini of Lamb £13.00 
Lamb Chops & Cous Cous £25.00
Beef Ragu Tagliatelle £14.50
Seafood Linguine £16.00
Diavola £15.00 
Pistachio Tiramisu £8.00
Creme Brulee £9.00

The Lamb Chops were beautiful; smokey, succulently charred and moreishly seasoned. 
I found out in Italy that an authentic Tiramisu does NOT contain alcohol, so the Tiramisu at @lafenicelondon was all Halal and delicious. I'm not a fan of Creme Brulee, but I really enjoyed @lafenicelondon's version.
The Beef Ragu and Linguine were the only two dishes that required amelioration as it needed more seasoning.

@lafenicelondon is definitely a restaurant that you should add to your bucket list.

The staff is super friendly and helpful and goes above and beyond so you have a pleasant fine dining experience.
They had an offer to order 2 pizzas and the cheapest one becomes free ✨
And the staff also offered us the drinks for free 🧡
The virgin mojito was awesome 👍
I had never seen a pistachio tiramisu! It tasted sooo good 🤤
If you look at my reviews, I rarely rate 5 stars, but La Fenice definitely deserves it 👏

La Fenice is an incredible addition to the fine dine Italian restaurants in central london, visited a few times and every time it gets better, the service is immaculate, the food is impeccable, i the interior is lush! With some of the tastiest Italian food in the UK - would highly recommend this place for date nights/anniversaries/ work dinners & family meals - ideal for every occasion - absolutely loved it and will definitely be back again

Amazing restaurant we discovered in a weekend trip to London. REALLY nice staff. We went there two nights in a row. The first night they were so lovely to accept our reservation even though it was late and near the closing time. They reopened the kitchen just for us, and the pasta and pizzas were just delicious. Highly recommended, a decadent and romantic ambient with authentic italian food.

yays: delicious food, souffle was 10/10, deconstructed tiramisu perhaps one of the best we've ever had, pasta brilliant, service impeccable

nays: pizza base was too thin to hold shape, bit of a soggy mess there, was delicious though and the whole thing is expensive, yes, but totally worth it.

The food was amazing, and it tasted fresh. The staff were great and put in a lot of effort. They were very busy, hence the food arrived a little late. They made up for the lateness by not charging us for our drinks, which is very much appreciated. Would highly recommend. All food is halal.

All our meat is Halal. This is clearly marked on our menu.
