We popped in recently for a coffee and cake, enroute to the Royal London Hospital.

We were warmly greeted. Ordered at the counter and took a seat. Comfy seats but the tables were very close to each other. Once ready, we collected our coffee and pastry from the counter. There was no table service, as such.

The coffee was hot but very mild in taste ( not much coffee for a cappuccino) and it was served in a non insulated glass. Like a traditional milkshake glass. Very odd and hard to hold until it cooled a little. We weren't sure why they dont just serve hot drinks in a mug or cup & saucer?

We had the lemon cake. It looked delicious, as did the large selection of sweet and savoury offerings on view. Cakes, pastries, salads etc..However, the cake had very little lemon flavour.  I couldn't eat it and believe me, I never leave cake! Really disappointed.

Not the cafes fault but we class it as part of our 'experience'.
We had a 'local' couple sitting next to us who were eating like they were starving and he was constantly coughing, without covering his mouth. They left the cafe at a similar time to us and we caught them throwing litter on the pavement, right beside an empty bin ! I picked them up on this and she then put the rubbish in the bin. Disgusting behaviour. By the state of the street outside, that looks like typical behaviour for people in this area.

There are so many good cafes along this road, ones which we prefer. Unfortunately, we wont return here again but thank you, anyway.

What a cracking wee place. The decor inside is not what you expect from the outside. Loved the colours, the lights, the books... Decent menu with reasonable prices. Half chicken was tasty, as we're the chips. Burger was good, if you don't like a touch of pink in your burger then this place isn't for you. Staff friendly.
Only negative only 1 toilet for a fair few seats.

We tried the diavola pizza. It was freshly made and tasted amazing. The staff were efficient and really friendly. They also had plenty of savoury and sweet options. Would definitely go back for breakfast and brunch. All items on the menu are halal.

Really great spot!
Fresh, ready-cut pizza slices that taste amazing — perfect for takeaway. I had a dirty chai latte from the café menu and it was excellent. The selection of baked goods is impressive, and everything looks (and tastes) top quality.

Also, everything is ‎حلال — which is a big plus!

The Sushi Bar Brick Lane

I stopped by The Sushi Bar on Brick Lane for a casual Saturday night dinner and tried a few dishes:
•	Chicken Yakisoba 🍜 – Nicely prepared and cooked well, but it lacked a bit of flavour.
•	Chicken Gyoza 🥟 – Delicious, though I personally prefer them steamed or boiled rather than fried. It would be great if they offered a choice in preparation style.
•	Prawn Katsu Roll 🍤 – Pretty decent and satisfying.

Overall, it’s a good spot and worth visiting if you’re after a quick bite at a fair price. Just don’t expect deeply authentic Japanese food prepared by East Asian chefs — it’s more of a casual fusion take.

The restaurant itself is simple, clean, and tidy. When I visited, it was a quiet evening with only a couple of other tables occupied, so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere — though that might just have been the night.

A nice little stop for sushi lovers who want something quick and affordable on Brick Lane.

We looked for Chinese/asian food near our hotel that is halal. The food was delicious and also the staff and the owner are very friendly and you feel very welcomed there.
Also it was very beautiful to watch how respectful they're behaving and talking towards each other. When we come to London again, we will definitely go there again. Greetings from Germany! |

A Hidden Halal Gem Near Brick Lane – Fresh, Flavourful & Family-Friendly

We had a delightful experience at this sushi bar near Brick Lane. Every single item we ordered was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The crispy chicken bao buns were phenomenal, and the beef noodles were absolutely fantastic.

Service was quick — everything arrived within minutes, straight from the kitchen, piping hot and full of flavour. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with our toddler. All of the staff were super friendly and They kindly offered him multiple strawberries and mochi on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch.

This place is a true hidden halal gem, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

I was mainly interested in having Takoyaki. I loved each item. They were fresh and tasty. I would definitely visit again to try other dishes when I am around again.

Whitechapel serving Chinese food! I was impressed by
@smokinwok food and service! Fresh food bursting
with flavours and you can even customise it with naga.
They even serve fish and chips, fish cakes and
battered sausages.
We ordered the following:
*Dynamite prawns
*Dynamite chicken wings
*Dynamite chicken balls
*Salt and pepper wings
*Smokin wok chow mein
*Smokin wok fried rice
*Beef noodles
*Singapore fried rice
*Fish and chips
The Dynamite selection was lovely! Our favourite will
have to be the prawns! Crispy tempura battered
shrimp covered in a creamy spicy mayo sauce. with
sriracha. They are different to the PF Chang's one but
very unique and regardless tasted really good! This
goes same for the dynamite chicken.
The smokinwok special chow mein was one of our
favourites! It was noodles that was tossed with prawns,
chicken and beef! We chose quarter naga which was
spicy enough for us! A great noodle dish with
authentic Chinese flavours.
The smokin wok special rice was also great and very
filling. We went with quarter naga which elevated the
heat however not too spicy to override the flavours.
Overall, a great Halal Chinese concept that will
definitely see me back!

AMAZING PORTION for the price!! I ordered from them through deliveroo and because there was no option to mention I didn’t want egg in my chow mein I called them and asked them to remove it. My food came nicely packaged and without egg :) so nice of them! The food is super tasty too!! I’d recommend 100%🥰🥰🥰

This is a lovely Chinese take away! We ordered the chicken balls which came in a big portion with an amazing taste, for so little money! We also ordered one rice main and one noodle main and the beef Szechuan and everything was so flavourful and delicious. The portions are very good so we will be finishing this off for dinner tomorrow! The staff was lovely and as it was our first purchase we received a free canned drink of our choice! LOVE !

First time at Smokin Wok! I have to say experience was 10/10! Could not fault. Rezza was fantastic. Very friendly customer service. He gave items on the house and truly an amazing person. May Allah SWT reward you for your efforts and continue to bring Barakah to the business, Ameen.

I would highly recommend others to try this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed!

Amber Restaurant

We've been there twice, one for lunch, and one for dinner. Both times we came out happy.

The food is Levantine/Turkish, some with a twist. Last time we went there was for lunch, where you can combine a small plate and two salads for 21. We got two of these (i.e., 2 small plates and 4 salads), which is a decent amount for two people. We also got the hummus and a bread basket.

The hummus is good, smooth, like it should be (none of that grainy stuff). The pitta bread is great, but not a huge fan of the other types of bread. Next time I will stick with the pitta. The others didn't taste that flavorful.

For the small plates, we got the grilled chicken and the meatballs. The meatballs are tender, and both were well seasoned and cooked just right. The charred chicken skin was delicious.

For the salads, we got the aubergine, squash, tabbouleh, and califlower. They were all really good, but a bit on the colder side (as in, colder than room temperature).

Service is fast and attentive. I would go there again.

We celebrated our end-of-year dinner at Amber, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was so good — every dish was beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and clearly made with care.

The vibe was incredible too: warm, stylish, and full of great energy. It set the perfect mood for our celebration, and you could feel how happy and excited everyone was throughout the night.

A huge shout-out to the service team — the servers were attentive, thoughtful, and really paid attention to all the little details. They made the whole evening feel smooth and special from start to finish.

If you’re looking for amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, and top-tier service, Amber is an easy five stars. We left with full hearts and full stomachs — can’t wait to go back!

Staff were very friendly and attentive, always filling up our water etc. The bread basket and hummus we shared as a starter were great, super fresh and warm. The mains were tasty, but a little small and my partner asked for her steak to be a little well done but it still came out rare from the kitchen. Smoked potatoes were delicious and the pumpkin ice cream was certainly interesting. Cocktails were good and atmosphere was nice. A little on the expensive side but London restaurant prices.

Lovely Middle Eastern restaurant. The selection of lamb and chicken as well as the salads were fabulous. A good restaurant in the vicinity of Whitechapel/ Aldgate East.

It’s just a great location to be.

KFC Whitechapel - High Street

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to KFC experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
The restaurant was filthy. The seating area and floor were covered in spilled food, stains, and litter that staff made no effort to clean. It was unhygienic and off-putting to even sit down.
The chicken was served cold and tasted undercooked. It had a strong smell of palm oil, which was unpleasant and made it inedible.The fries were soggy, greasy, and clearly not fresh.
Overall, the food quality was far below the standard one would expect from KFC.
I did not feel comfortable eating the meal and left most of it uneaten. For a global brand like KFC, this level of poor hygiene, food safety concerns, and lack of quality control is shocking.

KFC is perfect for anyone craving crispy fried chicken.
The chicken is juicy inside and has a flavorful crunchy coating.
The secret seasoning makes it taste unique and addictive.
Sides like fries, coleslaw and mashed potatoes complement the meal.
Delivery and dine-in are both convenient.
Portions are generous and filling.
Staff are usually polite and efficient.
A go-to place for comfort food lovers.

visited the Whitechapel KFC shortly after their posted opening time of 9:30 AM. Despite arriving at 9:33, the store was still closed. A staff member told me it would take 5 minutes, but when i returned at 9:40, another staff member said it would be another 10 minutes. When the store finally opened, instead of offering an apology for the delay, the staff showed attitude toward customers, which made the experience even more disappointing.

The quality has been getting bad anyway but today was the limit, i got the new honey burger and the chicken was raw inside it, literally hard and raw with batter on top, they are selling unsafe stuff now, extremely pathetic, KFC has lost its quality now.
I am a doctor myself  and I think this food can cause diseases , they should be reported to food regulatory authorities. I don’t know how to do it yet but i will find out and do it. Criminal negligence.

Recently, I’ve been visiting KFC, and the experience has been consistently disappointing. Every time I ordered wings, chips, and a wrap, the quality was extremely poor. The wings were always soaked in oil and seemed undercooked, as if they hadn’t been fried properly. The chips were soggy instead of crisp.
The wrap was the worst part. The lady who prepared it didn’t make it properly at all—there wasn’t enough chicken, and half of the wrap was just empty tortilla. She didn’t even toast the wrap, which made it even more unappetizing.
Overall, the service and food quality were unacceptable. Very disappointing and definitely not what I expect from KFC.

HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

@bentobablondon has been one of our go to spots, with the fluffiest bao buns and tastiest katsu curry. However, this time round the chicken katsu bibimbab was quite dry with little katsu sauce, which was disappointing as it is usually delicious. The bao buns were perfect as usual, especially the sweet chilli chicken ! The customer service was amazing, with staff making us feel very welcome. We’re sure this was just a one off and we look forward to visiting again ! 

Overall, if you have a craving for Korean, Bento Bab is definitely a place worth visiting !

Bento Bab (Authentic Korea food) - Commercial street

Really enjoyed this, was like a mini holiday.

I had the Beef Bentobab which was surprising in that the flavours were quite delicate. The Chicken Dumplings were very tasty - just a little tricky with the stainless steel chopsticks, but I managed!

Loved the atmosphere so will definitely go back to try their other recipes.

Staff very friendly.

Good food, $$.we had kimchi set, steamed rice,kimchi pancake,  2 KFC small & medium,3 Galib Tang, Gugeolopan, A good amount for 6 people. Good quality on the meats. Service was very efficient.  A good place in that area for K-pop food. As always, post wherever your palate takes you.

I recently dined in at Bentobab, and it was honestly a great experience from start to finish. The place has a clean, cozy atmosphere simple but nicely done, and it feels comfortable whether you’re there alone or with friends. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being pushy, which made the whole visit feel relaxed.

The food was the real highlight. Everything came out fresh, nicely presented, and full of flavor. You can tell they use good ingredients and actually care about what they’re serving. The dishes had that perfect balance tasty but not heavy, well-seasoned but not overdone. My order arrived quickly, and even the side dishes felt thoughtfully prepared, not like an afterthought.

What I really liked is that the portions were fair, and you could enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. The place was clean, including the tables and wash area, which says a lot about how well they manage the restaurant.

Overall, Bentobab is a spot I’d definitely visit again. Whether you’re coming for a quick bite or a proper meal, it’s worth it. Good food, great service, and a chill environment that’s hard to find all in one place. Highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t yet.

The food was absolutely delicious and the KFC was so crispy and tasty

kimchi was better than at many korean restaurants when I asked they said it’s homemade!

I was also recommended to try the stew so I had the spicy beef stew yukgaejang and it was amazing !

I loved that the stew comes with rice included :) and the staff were very friendly as well 100 out of 100! ♥️

The food was absolutely incredible! Every dish was full of flavour and well presented. The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and added to an overall great dining experience.

The only downside was the toilets, which were located down some dark basement corridors and felt a little unclean with an unpleasant smell. It’s a shame, as everything else was fantastic.

Our halal options are clearly labelled. Pork is served but prepared and cooked separately.

it's a nice and friendly steak and chop house in Aldgate a 20mins walk from Bank. We live nearby and had an eye on the place for a while so decided to try it. I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised. We came for a late Sunday lunch. The place wasnt busy so we had a pic of the best tables ;) The service was friendly and prompt. The food was excellent! It was all perfect from the french onion soup to the beef and lamb roast with all the trimmings. The proportions are on the bigger side for what I 'm expecting from a roast, and very well made and well presented. All the meat is halal too, which give the area it has to be. Food was all just impeccable. I cannot fault the place. The only unconventional thing is that the entrance to the restaurant is through the New Road Hotel lobby and past reception given that it's the restaurant in the hotel but I quite like that as its different from other places in the area. I have already suggested it to friends.

I had a wonderful experience at Mr. White’s English Chophouse, London Whitechapel. The restaurant has a clean, tidy, and welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for families. We visited with children, and our waitress was super friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable — truly great service.

I started with the whitebait, which was cooked perfectly, followed by the Sunday roast dinner. The food was excellent throughout, and it’s fantastic to know that everything is halal, which is hugely appreciated.

The restaurant also has disabled access, making it accessible for everyone. While parking in the area can be a little tricky, it’s noticeably easier to find a space on weekends.

Overall, a great dining experience with delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality meal in the Whitechapel area.

I went with a couple of friends on 12th Sept. The staff were really polite, patient and very helpful. The food was on point. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mash was absolutely delish! A relaxed vibe and a great place to visit with family or friends. Super easy to get to via public transport, only a 5 minute walk from Whitechapel station. Definitely plan on visiting again with the family.

You must give this place a try. You will be surprised by this hidden gem that you never knew existed there.
I love how every meal is crafted carefully, that’s what makes this place more special than other steakhouses. The food doesn't taste “banal”!
My favourite is salads. Beetroot with goat cheese, blue cheese and pear compote salad. They are just magical, already making me feel happy without steaks really 🫢
But then when the steak kicks in - it is just the happiest person you will become.
I love their fillet steak with mushrooms! I also tried sirloin and it was brilliant as well.
For the prices they ask for, this place tastes very similar to fine restaurants that would cost double the price.

We went there for our son’s birthday and what a wonderful choice it was! The menu is uncomplicated and the staff are friendly. There’s absolutely no compromise on taste and each dish was booked to perfection. Loved the béarnaise sauce! The Cheesecake with most moreish blueberries was a perfect end! Definitely going back for more.

All our meat is Halal. Please let a member of staff know when booking or visiting.

Wonderful, authentic delicious Korean food at very reasonable prices. Top quality and generous portions too. Had fish stew, which I loved. Friendly welcoming staff and vibrant atmosphere. Recommended!

Reserved a table for a large group and I was grateful that the restaurant was patient with us when a few of us arrived late. We ended up all ordering at about 3:50 and one of the later guests ordered at 4pm. Within 30 mins, 7/9 of us had received our dishes. After 50 mins of ordering, the 8th person had received their food.  The person who ordered at 4pm didn’t receive her food till 5:12 which was shocking for a vegetarian bibimbap, considering one of the people to first receive their food ordered beef bibimbap, so you’d think the vegetarian one would arrive faster. We asked waiters about 3 times and none of them had a concrete answer. They were also not very kind, had frowns on their face the whole time and didn’t even try to be polite with us. We’d prefer if they would’ve told us that dish would come so late so that person could’ve ordered something else as by the time their food had arrived, we had all eaten. To compensate, we asked to get the service charge removed to which the server looked confused but we were luckily able to to take that off as other reviews said otherwise.

On the positive side, my spicy beef stew photographed was lovely tasting and fairly priced. It wasn’t filling on its own though so needed to order steamed rice on the side. The ambience was lovely as well with nice lighting and decorations.

Food was nice but service would have to improve for me to return.

⭐ Constructive Review for Bari Bari Restaurant

I’ve visited Bari Bari a few times now because it’s close by and I often crave (rice) Asian food, Unfortunately, the waiting times have been consistently disappointing.

On my recent visit, I waited 47 minutes for a simple set lunch — even though the restaurant was only half full. I noticed several tables were also waiting, and no one acknowledged the long delay.

This wasn’t the first time I encountered this issue. On a previous visit with my husband, his sweet & sour chicken arrived after about 25 minutes, but my meal took almost an hour(Galbitang). He finished eating and had to leave for work while my dish still hadn’t been served, aside from a bowl of rice left getting cold on the table. That experience was already upsetting, but I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt.

Today, however, I noticed a group of three guests — who seemed to know the owner — being served quickly despite arriving after several other customers, myself included. This added to the frustration and made the wait feel even more unfair. They left the restaurant while I’m still waiting for my food.

For a casual restaurant offering simple dishes, a 10–20 minute wait is reasonable. 30 minutes starts to feel excessive, and 47 minutes without any communication or apology is quite disrespectful to customers’ time.

The food itself is fairly basic and not particularly authentic, so waiting this long makes the overall experience feel even less worthwhile. I hope the restaurant improves its service flow and consistency, because at the moment, the delays overshadow everything else.

It's most comfortable to have some warm soup in winter.

I don't know if I ordered the wrong set meal that day.

Or because I actually gave side and rice at noon.

In fact, this is more than enough for two people.

But I really wanted to eat cold noodles that day.

Add white vinegar and cold noodles and dip a little hot sauce. It's so delicious.

The second time was on Christmas Day. Their house was still open.

I called an hour in advance to reserve a seat.

This time it's with a little sister. She is very knowledgable about Korean food. Take her to have a taste.

❹ kimchi pancake kimchi pancake 10.5

This is the starter, but it's the last one. It's very slow.

It feels like it's done now.

But my friend certified it was delicious! She has eaten it all. Highly recommended.

❺Galbi jjim (braised beef ribs) braised beef ribs 18.9

The beef ribs are still soft and delicious.

I highly recommend it to friends who like to eat meat.

❻Spicy Kimchi stew Spicy Cabbage Soup 10.8

My friend likes to eat kimchi very much.

So there are both kimchi cakes and kimchi soup.

According to the comments provided by her, the pickles in this house are light.

It should be to reconcile the regional taste.

It can't be said that it's not authentic, but it's really less delicious.

The shop is full of brown-black waiters with no Asian faces.

But I specially watched the kitchen, haha

Nice food, but quite a small restaurant!

Not really buggy friendly but still doable.

Language was a barrier. As a novice to this cuisine, we were trying to ask about the menu options and we got the completely wrong things as they did not explain it properly. Considering the clientele they must deal with not sure why they are not better equipped to help out diners.
We also got a huge volume of food ordered because of this!

Really expensive for what it is.
Serves halal food.

We serve Halal, ask a member of staff for details. Pork and Alcohol are also served.

Breakfast always looks yummy in a pan. .

Halal Full English from @thegourmethut. £8.50. I was nice, a few too many potato cubes, sausages pre cut, venue cold and dark.. But it does taste nice.

My wife and I stumbled into The Gourmet Hut late at night during our travels, and it ended up being one of those unforgettable food moments. We were actually the only customers in the shop, but the owner treated us like VIPs. Such a genuinely great guy — he went out of his way to make sure everything was cooked absolutely to perfection.

We ordered the hot dog and the burger, and wow… I still drool just thinking about them. Simple items done exceptionally well, packed with flavor, and made with real care. You can tell this is someone who truly loves what he does.

They’ve just dropped a new menu and it’s AMAZING. The Set Meal is such a bargain, only £15 for a burger, muddy fries, 3 wings AND tempura prawns, so worth it!!

The Bang Bang Prawns were seriously addictive - flavoursome and spicy. So moreish!

The Smokin Ribs were cooked to perfection, the meat literally fell off the bone.

The Killa Katsu Chips were delicious. The flavours worked so well together.

And the cheese sauce with that burger was amazing! I already love their burgers, this was just incredibly tasty.

If you’re after great food, awesome offers, and serious flavour,  head down to The Gourmet Hut. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Proper Food

The Firecracker Burger is the one! It’s got the perfect crunch and just the right amount of heat, all balanced with a soft brioche bun and juicy meat.

The hand-cut chips are amazing — crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside.

The prawns are a real highlight, smothered in sauce with a perfectly crunchy coating.

The wings are properly breaded and sauced, packed with flavour in every bite.

And the Muddy Chips are iconic — loaded with cheese, mince, and fries for the ultimate comfort food.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy a great meal in a welcoming environment.
Definitely recommend — I’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints!

Had to pay the OG spot Gourmet Hut a visit, it's been a couple of years since I popped and it's been long overdue.

Management were so great at accommodating our needs for a space to park off the buggy and the customer service was on point they took care of us and made sure we had a good experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, not many places that can do a great lamb burger, we enjoyed our meal and paired with that cherry lemonade which was absolutely exquisite.

You can tell why Gourmet Hut has stood the test of time in a competitive market, the food, service and ambience was top notch.

That cherry lemonade though, just might have to pop in for an evening drink, grwta place to dine.

Absolutely disgusting. This place is a scam. I went there after their advertising on social media caught me. I wanted to try their cheese dipped burger first of all it looks like two burgers by the way they took the picture but it was only one. Their burgers are not 100percent meat they add flour to thicken them that’s why they look so big. Adding flour makes them taste like bread and no where do they tell you their allergy information. They only told me after I ordered and took a bite and realised there was flour in the burger and I told the waiter who didn’t know, to ask the chef.

Inside the restaurant it smelt of hot oil wafting around as they did not turn on their extractor fan. I think they were saving money and tried to keep the place warm. I did tell them but they only opened the front door.

I will never go back there I also recommend no one to go there its absolutely awful please don’t get fooled by their offers it’s simply isn’t worth it.I ended up leaving my whole food and they even made me pay. I was very very disappointed.

Naan Staap®

A completely less than average experience. We stopped by after an appointment at the nearby hospital, got two karak teas and a chicken cheese naan (around £12 total). The teas were pleasant. The naan took a while to make - after ten minutes we asked the lady behind the counter how long and she said 10-15 minutes! For a naan that is crazy, makes me think it is pre made and cooked from frozen. Then when the food finally arrived, we were the only ones in the shop and she called the order out, for us to collect it from the counter. There is literally no service here - minimal unhelpful interaction. The naan itself was super greasy and you could not taste any chicken whatsoever.

If you’re craving quick, flavour-packed comfort food, this place is such a win. The naan is soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked — not dry, not chewy — and the fillings are generous and full of flavour. Every bite feels warm, indulgent, and satisfying without being too heavy. Perfect for quick lunch we had cholaa bhatura 🩷

Awful experience. The main door is broken and doesn't shut properly, so the entire store is freezing, especially in mid-December. There was no heating, and it was extremely uncomfortable inside. The tables were also very dirty and stained, which made the place feel unhygienic.

I also ordered a karak chai which used to be around £1.50, but I was charged £3.20 for a medium. That price increase is unbelievable and doesn't match the quality or experience. Really disappointing.

We had been on our way to get take away kebab rolls from Tayyabs, which is our go-to place in the area.  However, it was raining and miserable and we didn't fancy eating out in the rain. I hate eating in at Tayyabs but that's another review, so we saw this interesting looking place with amazing looking karak chai in the window so we ducked in. It was quite empty when we arrived and we had a ponder and ordered a stuffed bread each and a couple of chai.
We were 4 people and we had the achari chicken naan, potato and cheese naan, lamb qeema masala naan and lamb dum paratha. We tried both the masala and karak chai, and it was great there are full flavour, less sugar and no sugar options!
We had the less sugar, and it was plenty sweet enough!
There's a clean loo and nice clean tables and booths.
We were still hungry so ordered a portion of bhatura, which is 3 pieces and only £1.95!
We had channay, with egg on top, but the flavour wasn't one we were used to, so that was the only dish we weren't so keen on.
To finish, we had to try the karak maska, which wasn't on the menu, but we saw it on a screen advert, which was clotted cream sandwiched between 2 pieces of brioche bread loaf, and a cutting chai cupful of karak chai to pour over the top.  You then eat with a spoon.
Utterly divine!
Would highly recommend and would also go out of my way to go here. There are a few branches around London, but none really in convenient locations to me, just like with some of the other mini chains of desi places. :(
The service was very polite and super patient with the inevitable uncle complaining about the cost of a cup of chai, but seriously the quality of the chai was top notch, possibly made with condensed milk, and so delicious and mouth watering, I couldn't fault it at all.

We visited NaaAn Stap and ordered Aloo Paratha, Palak Paneer Paratha, Lamb Gravy, Cajun Naan, and Karak Chai. The Aloo Paratha was decent, and the sauce on the side was nice. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was quite disappointing. The Lamb Gravy was far too oily — it felt like it had way too much ghee, which made it heavy and unpleasant. The Palak Paneer Paratha wasn’t good either. On top of that, the customer service was slow, which made the experience less enjoyable. Overall, apart from the Aloo Paratha and sauce, the food and service left much to be desired.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

Private Hall Hire above the restaurant. This is a really nice hall, nothing over the top but perfect for a small function (small wedding event). There were around 90 people which just about fitted in. Not sure what their overall capacity is. There is a set menu to choose from and depending on what you go for the price represents that. The hall hire is separate to food charge. The food was good, the chicken tikka starter, the chicken/meat currys were particularly good. Service was good, staff gave were they could extra food. Would of been nice to have zero sugar drinks. Overall very good.

I attended a wedding here at maedah restaurant so I didn’t have a menu. Everything was already catered before hand for £19 a head.

I was in their banqueting hall, which is an average adequate space. I believe they can sit around 150-200 people.

The stage design is also quite nice. It’s elegant and simple as well as minimalistic.

The starters, I didn’t try the spring rolls or somasos but the chicken they served was a STRAIGHT 8/10. The seasoning as well as the texture on the chicken was perfect.
We have asked for seconds and thirds for the starters that’s how good they were.

The mains - chicken curry - lamb curry - daal.

Chicken curry - 8/10. It had a nice sweet taste the chicken. It was different from your other curries you could taste the quality with every bite. It was full of flavour .

Meat curry - 10/10.  The meat was tender, soft, dissolved in your mouth and the sauce that accompanied it was just mouthwatering.

Daal - I personally didn’t try it but my uncle said he was disappointed.

We asked for 4 more meat curries. It was genuinely that delicious.

The service was top notch, waiters on standby everywhere, checking if we have enough - enough water - enough drinks.
Can’t complain.

The only reason it’s a 4 star from me is because they properly rationed that starters and when we asked for more, they said no. Didn’t provide reasoning

At first was surprised that we got a table so quick. Now I understand.
Would not recommend this place. After waiting an age, was served with terrible food and a side order of bad attitude.
Ordered a chicken burger meal, which was a dehydrated patty inside untoasted cheap bun. Asked for medium well steaks, got given rubber and silicone on a plate. When I tried to quietly ask what had happened and give some constructive criticism. Feedback was 'that's how we make it'. Was then surrounded by three waiters trying to intimidate me and my family. When I gave a little push back they got a little louder then walked off. Other customers approached my table to fight my corner.
Theres also a creepy guy sitting at a back table. Staring at us from when we got in, just with a small tea in his hand. Either a manager or owner, not too sure. Saw him behind the counter also.
My bill came to £82 or so, which I was more than willing to pay. (My money was already on the table). Another waiter asked them to give me a discount. After taking a few minutes having a meeting, they offered me a discount.
I didn't eat my food as you'll see in one of the pictures.
Overall, terrible experience, horrible food and despicable staff.
Definitely not returning and will be telling all my own people to avoid.

After reading the negative views I was in two minds about coming here but in the end decided to try it due to the prices

Ordered 2 meal deals consisting of 3 cubes, 3 wings, shawarma and Adana.

To our surprise it was actually decent and for the price you can’t go wrong.
Condiments were nice as well.

Starters were good and the bread was fresh and fluffy.

Portions were filling.

Staff were a bit robotic and disinterested.

Will be returning here very soon. 100% recommend

The flavours from the charcoal grill options, shawarma and fresh salads are of great quality. The pricing is very generous for the shawarma wrap meal deal, great portion and quality. Customer service is always 💯. The complementary free bread for starters was also really nice, fresh and 🔥. My go to place to eat in whitechapel would be here 💪

Chicken, wraps and burgers with Peri Peri seasoning

I whipped up a Nandos style iftaar a couple of days ago as we were all craving some juicy peri peri chicken 🤤 Initially, I wanted to use the Nandos marinade but it seems like everyone else had the same idea as me as I couldn’t find it anywhere! So I ended up making my own 😊 The best thing about cooking chicken like is that there are no steps; just whack everything in a blender to make the marinade! 
You will need:
6 chicken legs (including thighs)
1/2 an onion (medium size)
3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
2tbsp lemon juice
1tsp salt
1tsp peri peri seasoning
2tsp chilli powder (or less if you prefer your chicken mild!)
1/2tsp paprika
1/2tsp ground black pepper
1/4tsp red food colouring
1 whole scotch bonnet pepper

Once you’ve got your sauce, evenly coat the chicken in it and pop into the oven at 180C for around 40 minutes, turning them over half way. Make sure you make a few gashes in your chicken first in order for it to absorb more flavour! 👌🏽

Nando's Whitechapel

I recently visited Nando’s and ordered the Whole Chicken Family Platter along with a variety of sides: chili mash potatoes, piri-piri chips, regular fries, rice, and a fresh salad. For a starter, we chose halloumi sticks.

The whole chicken was cooked perfectly…juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with that classic Nando’s peri-peri kick. The chili mash potatoes were creamy and well-seasoned, the piri-piri chips had a nice spicy crunch, and the regular fries were golden and crisp. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the salad was fresh and crisp, adding a light balance to the hearty meal.

The only issue was with the halloumi starter, which arrived after our main course was finished. Halloumi is best enjoyed hot and fresh, so getting it at the end slightly disrupted the flow of the meal.

Overall, the food quality was excellent, the portions generous, and the flavors spot on. Just a small note for the staff to serve starters on time…it would make the experience even better.

I visited Nando’s last week and had an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a lovely girl in a red shirt with a bright smile who seated us comfortably. Since we were quite hungry and ordered a bit more, she kindly arranged a bigger table for us. The food was served promptly and with care.

Another staff member, a tall girl in a light green T-shirt, kindly checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect. The service throughout was both professional and friendly.

As always, the food was delicious—I especially love the sweet potatoes and corn on the cob! 🙏

I came down to nandos whitechapel for a quick lunch, and overall the food quality was great and food was given to us so quickly! Shoutout to those chefs! However, I think the front of house staff could do a bit better, they were not very friendly and looked sad to be there tbh.. There wasn’t many sauces available and it wasn’t that busy, sauces should deffo be more stocked. And cleanliness was a huge issue for sure! The place wasn’t that clean and one of the forks we picked up had a rice grain stuck in it! Gross! Overall the food at this nandos was amazing but a few things have to be fixed!

The Supervisor(introduced him as assistant manager bengali guy during 15:30 shift on friday 22/8/25 )was too rude and not welcoming.We went there with colleagues to have regular Nandos experience and because of the rude behavior while taking order from us we felt ashamed of coming to this branch again.
Even the rice we ordered was fried and he refuse to give us change(picture attached).
Though we get beautiful welcoming vibe in farrigdon and goodmayes branch.

Good location, good facilities, nice vibe. Food was ok, but the spicy was a bit too starchy for me. I couldn't eat it.

We have 385 restaurants, 72 of which serve only Halal chicken and are signposted both in the restaurant and online. A small proportion of chicken sold in our other restaurants may also be Halal.

The Nashville chicken burger comes with an amazing thigh piece. It was super juicy and moist. Cooked to perfection. The Nashville sauce was perfection. It was the perfect heat. Not overly spicy but a nice warmth on the tongue. It was just perfect. Defo would rate this as a top top top chicken burger. Honestly must try

The Nashville wings again perfect. The out batter remained crispy even after the Nashville oil and powder spices.

Nashville loaded fries which is off the menu and I told them to make this for me. And it was banging. It will give competition to my previous favourite loaded fries that they sell. Show them the video and ask them for that loaded fries lol

All in all must try this Nashville range. I’m sure I don’t need to talk about the smash burger and other dishes as they already legendary. Hurry and try the Nashville range

The staff was friendly and the restaurant is clean.  We just stopped in for a quick dessert. The Birthday Cake Cookie & Ice Cream was hot out of the oven.  It completely satiated my sweet tooth and was amazeballs!  The Lotus Biscott Chirros were also a warm delectable delight.

Customer service was so top notch! Firstly being greeted at the door then being shown to the seats, and guess what?! There is a very nice and clean sink to wash your hands!! 😁 This is such an essential for me as I really stress about hygiene and smell. I am genuinely amazed by the atmosphere, no music, simple background sounds, just the right noise level for those conversations that matter with your friends. Ordered grilled wings, onion rings and chicken tikka burger. Everything was amazing 😍, the only turn down was the salt in the burger was a bit on the higher side, more than my liking, there was a bit too much of a curry taste. Otherwise great place to bring your friends to enjoy!!!

Was visiting London and drove past this place the other day — decided to give it a try today, and I’m glad I did!

I had the Beef Habanero Jam burger and it was on point — perfect if you like your burger with a bit of a kick. The loaded fries were also spot on, but what really stood out to me were the fries themselves. They tasted amazing — definitely high-quality, not the cheap kind you sometimes get elsewhere.

Overall, a solid 9/10. Would definitely come back!

Clean, aesthetic and simple atmosphere. You can instantly tell even when they serve you and how the food looks it’s so simplistic and beautiful. It’s an eye candy. And the food is absolutely delicious. Super friendly customer service and they’re very happy to see you coming back because you enjoy the food so much. Halal and absolutely worth it.  Reasonable prices, not too cheap like KFC or McDonalds that you question the quality and profit, but not too expensive you will walk out of the door empty handed. Just right.

Amigos on Commercial Road never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The burgers are juicy, the peri-peri chicken is packed with spice and perfectly cooked, and the milkshakes are top-tier—thick, creamy, and indulgent.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even during busy times. The restaurant is clean, well-kept, and has a great vibe for casual dining or a quick bite.

Whether you’re grabbing food to go or sitting in with friends, Amigos always hits the spot. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving great food!

We visit for the buffet, but I was disappointed to find that the food was served cold—everything, including the curries. The lamb biryani tasted stale and lacked freshness. The fish fry was overcooked, and both the chicken and the meat curry were overwhelmingly oily and spicy without any real flavour. I also tried the paya, which had a strange smell. After the first bite, it was clear that it was spoiled. It's unacceptable to serve this quality of food to customers, especially when they are paying for it. There should always be respect for food service, and I expect much better than what was provided. This experience reflects a lack of care for customer satisfaction.
Can strongly recommend best skip this place. No food hygiene was maintained.
Bad place for having food and spending  waste of money.

We had a very bad experience here. Me and my friends ordered lamb shank, but the food was not fresh at all, the meat had a bad smell and even the sauce was smelling. We told the waiter, but he went to the chef and came back saying “the food is fine’. Then he said, “the boss also said the food is fresh.” It felt like you were literally forcing us to eat something that was clearly not fresh. We kept saying the food was not good, but you kept insisting it was fine. This is not right, we are customers, and we cannot be forced to accept bad food. At the very least you could have apologized or offered to change the dish, but you did nothing. When I said I called health and safety, you quickly removed everything and took the food inside. Anyway, my friend ordered something else which was nice, and we paid for that. The only good thing is you didn’t charge us for the lamb shank. I am writing this review so that you will understand that you cannot force people to eat food that is not fresh. Please take customer complaints seriously in the future.

Very impressed with the quality of food, massive portion size and value for money. I was genuinely shocked how good the prices were given how expensive everything is in London (£7.99 I think for a very good sized half grilled peri chicken, large chips, salad and sliced chicken breast!). The restaurant could do with turning some music on to create some ambience. Thank you Madison and keep up the great work!

I really enjoyed the food here, we ordered the munch yard platter 2, everything tasted delicious, the half chicken was full of flavour, the rice was nice and abit spicy, the lamb chops were perfectly cooked and came off the bone just how I like it, the bbq wings was yum but they forgot to give us the 4pc kimchi mayo wings (hence why I gave 4star rating otherwise it would of been a 5).
My son got the crispy hot n spicy burger which was really good too.
The dirty fries were yum and full of flavour. Evrything just tasted great.
We also had a jug of mango lassi as my family love it and we asked for no ice where I thought it wouldn’t taste as good but it did.
The service was good too & the staff were friendly.
The interior is pretty and I really liked the seating, spacious aswell as comfy.

I Recently visited Madison Steak & Grill and tried their buffet – and I must say, it was fantastic! So many delicious items to choose from, everything was well-prepared and fresh. We enjoyed a wide variety of dishes and topped it off with a nice cup of tea after lunch. Great service, cozy atmosphere – will definitely be returning!

Absolutely love this place! The bubble tea is always fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The tapioca pearls are soft and chewy, and the drinks have just the right level of sweetness. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself has a cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer. There's a great variety of options on the menu, so there's always something new to try, but the classics are spot on too.
Definitely my go-to spot for bubble tea-highly recommend! This is my new favourite the dragon fruit butterfly milk ❤️

This is the best boba place I’ve ever seen or heard of in my life. We got on and off a bus, then into a £19 uber to get here at 1:30 am on a Friday night. And, they also close at 2am. How brilliant! Every place in china town sucks and closes early. I would die and kill for a cupp boba. Thank you Samirah for your wonderful experience helping us here!

I always come back here because the drinks are amazing every single time. The mango fruit tea is super refreshing, and the dragon fruit lemonade has become one of my new favourites. Staff are ALWAYS super sweet and and the shop has a nice vibe. Easily the bubble tea spot in LONDON.

Great pizzas at great prices. Classic thin pizza bases with generous tasty toppings. Prices kept down due to the self service and there seemed to be a constant queue for ordering. But you really can’t complain as it’s good fun, fast and buzzing atmosphere due to the popularity. I’ve had better pizzas but not better prices!

Unfortunately didn’t get to try my pizza due to poor hygiene by the staff. The presentation of the pizza as well is not great as I asked for ham, some spinach and rocket. I didn’t get any ham (even though I paid extra for it), and got a whole bag of spinach and rocket instead. The staff member was on her phone while the pizzas were cooking then got them out and used her hands to put toppings on mine and other peoples pizza without washing her hands. I was really looking forward to this pizza from the reviews but because of poor hygiene and a whole bag of salad dumped on the pizza I was unable to eat the pizza.

Pizza Union – Aldgate Review

Although many people may already be familiar with this café, it was my first visit, and I was genuinely impressed. The historical ambience, complemented by photographs of locals displayed on the walls, created a warm and traditional atmosphere. The customer service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The breakfast was exceptional. The naga toast was delicious, and even the baked beans stood out as unique and flavorful. The bread and sausage were perfectly prepared, and the karak chai was authentic and satisfying.

Overall, this café exceeded my expectations. I would be happy to visit again .

I had an amazing English breakfast at Cabine...truly a hidden gem. The owner is incredibly kind. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and just perfect. The food was  great. Good job. 10/10

I completely forgot to mention about this beautiful lovely gem of a place! Alhamdulilah the service and the food 👌🏽 they have their on the day menu and you can ask them to switch over anything as my partner is a vegetarian. The sisters really were accommodating. So glad we managed to get a munch. Also their Brownies 10/10. I was busy eating thats why I couldnt take any other pictures. It sure is a small family run business and a lovely place to be in. Thank you ladies.

Such a sleek, cute, and cool eating atmosphere.  Hidden gem if you ask me.  The staff was so nice and hospitable to me and my husband. Jamaican and peri peri paninis were scrumptous! The almond and pistachio cookies were flaky and sweet.    5 star review at its best!

Lovely little café with a warm and welcoming vibe. The coffee was rich and smooth, and the pastries tasted fresh and homemade. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s a perfect spot to relax with a book or catch up with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Food is really delicious. Service is fast… but a little too fast. I was dining alone and they pretty much brought everything at once.  They are super friendly and professional however. Recommended.

My Family came here in August as part of our trip to London, and it was one of our favorite food stops from the entire trip!

First of all, the menu was expensive and full of amazing options, and not one thing that we ordered was bad. We loved them all, and we all took bites of each other’s. The sushi rolls were fun and we found them delicious! There was delicious teriyaki as well, and many other options. We really loved this food. The chef is amazing and there was not one “miss”.

Second of all, the service was speedy and efficient, and our server was extremely helpful, sweet, and quick. Our food did not take long at all, and we never felt forgotten or overlooked.

And third of all… the ambience and atmosphere was perfect! The restaurant is very spacious with many options for seating, ranging from indoor seating to outdoor seating. We sat on the outdoor patio and we’re so happy with this choice! It was absolutely beautiful, and especially when the weather was nice, we thought that this was the perfect addition to an already amazing dinner.

I could not recommend this restaurant enough! It’s the perfect little addition to the Whitechapel district and we were even able to get in and out fairly quickly, while still having a lovely experience.

Absolutely phenomenal food!

The best Sukiyaki I’ve had in London, and we’ve been to Asia we know what good Sukiyaki taste like and the one they serve here was so rich and full of flavour amazing portion and quality!

The sushi was very tasty and fresh and the whole experience from the staff to being there and having their food was soso nice - they are so polite and accommodating a wonderful experience 10/10 we will go again!

We stopped by just for a quick bite, no booking but was pleasantly greeted by staff who accommodated us upstairs. We ordered some sushi rolls, salmon set and side dishes. All excellent and delicious. The rice was cooked well for all the sushi as that's my pet hate when the rice is too dry or too mushy. Although it was quiet upstairs at first it became quite noisy after a little while, think the music was louder too which became hard to talk and hear each other. But overall would definitely come back for the friendly staff and especially the food.

Had the Sushinoen Special Bento and was very tasty, sushi was fresh and the tempura was a great portion, black cod was delicate and tasty, tuna tataki was also delightful.  Will be back again. However some music would of been nice as we were on the first floor.

Our chicken is Halal apart from chicken dumplings. However please contact the restaurant to confirm upon booking.

This place is absolutely rubbish, I wish I could leave zero stars. I rarely leave any negative reviews and I’ll never berate a local business, but this place is an absolute waste of your money. I ordered a double smash burger, it was so tiny, I could have finished it in 2 bites, it was tiny! It’s supposed to be a “double” smash burger. The burger also stank of peanuts for some reason. There is no customer experience or care here, the portions and food is rubbish. Don’t even waste your time or money here, they are absolutely rubbish. The chicken strips I ordered on the side, it was one of those disgusting ultra processed ones you get in a cash and carry, I thought they’d be proper chicken strips, and it’s £4.99 for a portion I think. The only good thing was the drink, and that’s because they don’t make it. This was my first and last time here, that was a complete waste of £12, honestly, if you want smash burgers Amigos is a literal 1-min walk from where they are, their burgers and food is so much better. I never do this after eating out somewhere, but I genuinely feel like going back and getting a refund. It’s an absolute joke of a burger takeway.

Used to live around, I was a regular at this place. Few weeks ago I came back to the neighborhood after two years, and I couldn't help myself I ended up here again. Tried my fav The HUNGRY cow meal. BEST BURGER PLACE IN EAST LONDON. These guys I don't know how they do it but... There's no comparison. So glad I had the chance to enjoy them while I lived there. Never change!! You're the best x

Heard alot of hype from this place so thought I'd try it out. Customer service isn't so great. Staff aren't very welcoming and it felt quite awkward.

The food is overpriced and not even value for money. One of the burgers we had the lettuce was gone off. Absolutely disgusting how they included that knowing its gone off. We opted in for cheese in our wrap. The wrap was loaded with cheese which made the wrap sickening, there was more cheese than chicken.

Don't recommend this place and don't see myself returning here. Food quality needs to improve especially with the prices their selling at.

Great customer service, providing fresh quality food thats value for money. Mega Mandem is humongous, variety of lovely flavoured Wings, Chops cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavour, Chilli cheese balls are a great addition. The Drinks were perfect and it seems as though you can never have enough of it.

First, I want to say this place is takeaway only and the kitchen is kind of hard to find but if you know the Mile End area, you should be able to find it.
I ordered the Classy Mandem, Banging BBQ wings and the blu ‘ras’ mojito. Didn’t get the chips which was unfortunate as I really wanted to try them out but they was out of stock. The chips that’s came with the meal was nice but very salty. Can’t go wrong with fat chips tbh.
The burger was big but, personally didn’t like the way it tasted. It was dry, and didn’t taste like a normal burger. They tried something new but it wasn’t for me. Personally, I think they shouldn’t put onions in the patty mixture especially when they put caramelised onions as one of the burger toppings. That’s just too much onion. It needed more salt in the burger too. Probably used it all on the chips. If your Bengali it reminded me of a keema bora. Personally shouldn’t  be made as a burger patty. The burger would’ve been a lot better if it was just made the traditional way and a lot more juicy. Would’ve made the meal a lot more enjoyable.
The wings was decent, have nothing bad to say about them. Had loads of BBQ sauce and was topped with sesame seeds.
The mojito was decent too, did taste more minty than blueberry though. Think they needed to add more syrup and maybe more fizz. They also provided chilli sauce. It was extremely spicy but If you love spice you’ll love the sauce. I couldn’t handle it but the chilli sauce did taste good. If I could handle spice I know I would’ve loved that sauce.
Overall, the food was good. Not bad, not amazing. Just standard tbh.

In the app(too good to go) it was showing that I will get £12 food in £4, but the food (burger only) might cost £2.5 hardly! there are too many good restaurants around from which one can get same burger by £2.5!! it was waste of money.

Had a nightmare with Deliveroo delivery but the restaurant went above and beyond to resolve the issue.
Driver had left one of the burgers at the restaurant and one of the restaurant staff noticed and went out of their way to drop off the missing burger and even brought a drink to apologise for the inconvenience.
Amazing customer service and food was great.

Best burgers I've had so far the portion extremely good for the price the naga wings actually spicey and the mocktails were also really good.

Our food is halal, our meat suppliers are HMC approved, we purchase from Gafoor who are 100 percent halal.

Burgers LDN - Aldgate

American in London. Had a craving like nobody’s business for a burger. Gave this place a shot to scratch the itch. Dang happy I did. Ended up trying four different burgers. All four hit the mark. Sweet and spicy was truly sweet and spicy. Blimey was the spicy deliciousness I’ve been craving since leaving the states. Chicken sando was moist with a crunchy exterior. Mushroom burger made vegetarian look easy. Price was right. Portions were fair. Service was friendly.

Really tasty smash burger joint tucked away in an unassuming alleyway. You get a Burger, fries, sauce and a soda for around 12 pounds.

They offer a variety (think like 7 each) burgers and sauces to choose from. Preparing the meal only takes them about 10 minutes. Burgers are juicy and fries crisp.

This one is a little lunch time treat! I went for the classic meal. Amazing Smash burger and lovely skin on fries with a drink and choice of sauce. It was £10.49 - I called and ordered for collection, was ready soon as I arrived. Really enjoyed this one.

If you’re in the area and hungry and you like burgers this is a must.

It’s a bit like a Five Guys but not so overpriced.

Don’t be scared, go down the dark alley, knock on the door, and order a Tower of LDN Burger. You won’t regret it.

It's likely the best burger I've had. Ordered the tower and didn't regret it. The ordering process is a bit awkward. It's just a single red door you need to knock on. Some photos show some signs on the door, but when I was there, it was just a plain red door. Then the menu was on the inside of the door, and with the person there waiting for me to choose, I felt a bit rushed and didn't look over the menu as much as I would want.

All that said, absolutely amazing taste. Cost me basically as much as a  McDonalds meal but is 1000x better. Would keep coming back if I lived near.

Me and my husband had a lovely time for our date night. This was our first time going to Pocketsquare Skyline. As soon as we arrived, it was such a nice chilled vibe. Live DJ for entertainment. The food was great and the customer service was amazing especially from Rylan. He made our experience worth going back.

We had drinks and my martini was perfect. Music was house techno and a little loud however cool. The views are gorgeous. Staff was nice. Had a high top and just soaked up the atmosphere and London lights at night. Service charge of 12.5 is added which for drinks might be a little high. It was a wonderful time and only an elevator from my room on the 8th floor

Very friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. The bar food is good. The view from there is amazing.
The only thing I would spot is that we reserved a table outside because they guaranteed there would be blankets available. When we asked for a blanket they said they did not have any available.
Luckily, it was not Crowded and we could move to a table inside.

Anyway, I would definitely recommend this bar and for sure I would be back. Lovely experience.

How convient is that the next venue is just an elevator away ? This was brilliant, didn't need to worry about ordering an Uber, or do citymapping for the direction to the next place.
The first impression is the view and the view is brilliant. Having work in the area for a few year, I would never imagine the view this bar have.

It's a small bar / lounge place so capacitywise it's limited and to be safe book a reservation.
Outdoor seating is minimal but again book in advance.

Being so close to Brick Lane I guess the art inspired design is a homage to the area.  It's trendy, arty and the drinks are good but are bit....

Love that they have a dj playing some house lounge-type music.

Service and the staff were good but the bar was busy so felt sorry for the waiter running around taking orders and serving drinks.

The decor is elegant and matches the nice view! The cocktails are surprising but expansive, as the food. Service is great, the staff is nice!

The food at the bar isn’t halal. However, you can able to pre order ahead of their booking and we can arrange it. A week's notice is sufficient.

Sorry to say this but it's average. I asked for dipped but only 2 lots of the wings were dipped n 2 lots were drizzled. Ghost chilli???
Non existent!!! Naga!!!! Non Existent!!! Black truffle was visibly there but no flavour!!! One looked and tasted a bit like burger sauce.
Overall over rated and a MASSIVE let down.

COUNTLESS ISSUES WITH BOUJEE BURGERS, LONDON, E1 4UN
This is the FIFTH TIME chips were not done as described on the menu. This is my local, hence re-ordering as i originally liked the fat chips compared to all other fast food. This time the chips were SOGGY instead of crispy. Worst of all there was no onions at all!!!!!! The onions meant for the chips are meant to be crispy caramelised to compliment the taste and when i saw no onions at all, well to say this was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT would be an understatement!!

Then moving on to the Cheesy Bites…because i’ve complained before about their chips, i feel they have definitely done this on purpose because EACH of them had NO CHEESE FILLING!!! It was EMPTY! You readers here can be the judge of my Boujee Cheesy Chunky Chip & Cheesy Bites review as i have provided PHOTO EVIDENCE of this. And to have SPENT AROUND £45 on them really does take the cake!

Last but not least their SHAKES are ALWAYS RUNNY. What i realised is they pre-make it and store it in the fridge instead of freshly squeezing it out. And this ain’t no exaggeration because they were never thick in any of MY PAST ORDERS. But i didn’t make a biggie out of it coz i mainly got food from them for chunky chips which was ONCE-UPON-A-TIME-AGO done right.

My complaints to Uber weren’t as successful coz it was my word against theirs. I have no idea how it is possible for them to keep their business in EXISTANCE???? I guess more FOOL me in repeating with my orders to them which am sure many like me do and thats what keeps them running. WELL NO MORE ON MY PART, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Black truffle mayo burger.
The other day it was so sweet and succulent and delicious with a touch of truffle mayo.

Today it was basicly drowned, and I mean DROWNED in truffle mayo. Congrats to the guy who made this burger today that I will never buy from here again.

Take a look at the pics, this amount of sauce came out from only half of 1 burger... this aint normal.

This was basicly not a burger with truffle mayo in it, rather it was truffle mayo with a bun in it.

Appauled.

I hope management really takes this opportunity to teach their staff quality control.

I recently ordered from Boujee Burgers and when I bit into my chicken burger, I was shocked to discover that the patty was completely raw in the middle. This was seriously concerning for my health.

Thankfully, I didn't get sick from consuming the raw chicken, but it was definitely a close call. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but when it comes to food safety, there's no room for error. Boujee Burgers needs to take a hard look at their kitchen practices and ensure that incidents like this never happen again.

Until I can trust that they've improved their standards, I can't in good conscience recommend Boujee Burgers to others. It's a shame because with the right precautions, they could be a great takeaway spot. But for now, proceed with caution if you choose to order from there.

I really wasn't sure about this place because of the name choices, so decided to go for a standard burger, I got the angus beef with turkey bacon, I really enjoyed my it! As for the loaded chips I wasn't too impressed I was expecting something a little more put together however it looked messy and had only a few cut up pieces of fried chicken strips, the chips alone were nice, crispy and huge! However I wouldn't bother with the loaded chips. Will be trying the wagyu burger next!

Efes Restaurant (Whitechapel)

I’ve been to Efes so many times on different occasions! It’s perfect for any group size - you can easily find tables for larger groups (though it’s best to book in advance).

The food is delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavour, with generous portions - some main dishes are even great for sharing. They also serve a portion of bread and salad as a complimentary starter.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and they always do their best to accommodate you.
