The Old Wellington

First time dining at an old English Pub and I enjoyed both the vibe and the food.

Very good portions. The steak and ale pie had a brief scent of beer in the stuffing which gave a special twist than a regular pie. Crispy crust. Smooth and buttery potato mash.

I had set a high expectation on this restaurant after reading the reviews and they didn’t fail me!
The best fish and chips I’ve had, not oily but still crispy. The sea bass dish is really nice too. The white sauce is spot-on. Food is delicious and served in generous portions

Just had a great time at The Old Wellington in Manchester! The fish & chips were crispy and perfectly cooked, the Meat Pit platter was smoky and packed with flavor, and the drink selection hit the spot,  especially their ales and cocktails Great vibes, historic setting, and solid service. It's definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

Omg this place is SO CUTE! Catherine was our server and despite having a fully booked house upstairs she was very attentive! We walked in with no reservation and were warned ahead of time we’d have to wait for food because of the private dinner on the top floor, and it was totally worth the wait. We appreciated the heads up and were happy to sit and enjoy our drinks while we waited for food. The fish and chips were fantastic. We also really enjoyed the scotch egg, halloumi fries and the sausage and mash. Bar staff was knowledgeable about beers and liquor offerings, which was helpful as we’re here from the US and wanted to try some local options. We finished our night with the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. We will be back next time we’re in town!

We visited whilst in Manchester for the Great Manchester half, and wanted somewhere to eat some decent food after running. The place was great - it had outside seating for those wanting to enjoy the sun, and had cosy interior seating which was also nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was good and reasonably priced. We had the roast (beef), garlic schnitzel and the gnocci, and all were great.

Tampopo Corn Exchange

A lovely little spot to grab food. The staff found a table for us despite it being a busy time. We’re glad we stumbled on this spot as the food was served very quickly, was fresh and tasted amazing and fragrant! Emily was a fab server and was so friendly. We loved the added touch of the sweet when we got the bill. We’ll be back to try the small plates!

Amazing!! Went here for boyfriend’s birthday and the service was awesome, did not have to wait to get seated, the staff was friendly and very helpful 😁
We even got a free dessert as a “happy birthday” to my boyfriend. I’ve got nothing bad to say, very affordable as well!!

We found this little gem today, tucked away at the corner of Exchange Square and Corporation Street in Manchester City Centre.

The menu was a sumptuous fusion of pan-Asian culinary delights, and the staff were very lovely and incredibly accommodating.

Front of house was being managed by the fabulous (Rachel?), and looking after us at our table was the wonderful Lottie.

The food, drinks and service were exemplary and a visit to this fantastic restaurant is highly recommended.

First time trying the Vietnamese coffee and it was also fantastic.

This was my second visit to Tampopo. The first time was great, so I was looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this time was quite disappointing.

We had booked a table for the last slot of the evening at 9pm. We arrived a little early, but as soon as we sat down, we were told we had to order immediately because the kitchen would be closing. If the kitchen closes at 9pm, it’s confusing why the system allows a 9pm reservation. It felt rushed and didn’t start the evening off well.

We ordered starters and mains. One of the starters, the spring rolls, was extremely oily (not what I would expect from a place with Tampopo’s reputation). It felt like less care had been taken with the preparation, perhaps because it was the final order of the night.

One of the mains was a fish dish with a sauce that was overwhelmingly spicy, althlugh spice level was 2/3). Just a small amount had both of us in tears. I don't believe anyone can eat that. The fish itself was unfortunately undercooked and raw near the bone. To their credit, the staff handled it professionally, promptly removing the dish from our bill and offering us the chance to order something else. However, since the kitchen had already closed, that wasn’t really a realistic option.

To add to the experience, there was no soap available in the men's toilet, something I luckily noticed before using it.

Overall, while the staff were polite and tried to handle the issues as best they could, the evening was disappointing. I hope this was just a one-off experience, as my first visit had been so positive.

Panchos Burritos Arndale Market

Chicken burrito with all the fillings was insane, I'd come back from Cornwall just for one of these. The Mexican cola was great as well, we can't get them in cornwall but I'm going to try and get them online somewhere. So much choice on this place and all very reasonably priced. Absolutely fantastic

They are the most authentic in the town. Their burritos are very tasty and have good spice levels.

Great food the large burritos are really large, had those once but second time i opted for kids size... They really are loaded. Really liked the slow cooked beef the first time i went second time had chicken, be good if they did kids size but with diffrent filling options meat wise the big ones are just too big for some of us

I know Mexican food very well! But sadly, this wasn't it. Despite all the amazing vegan options, I did not enjoy it enough to want to come back. A cafeteria style buffet with so many options. Guacamole was just a blended avocado. No salsa within. Not enough flavour, even with salsa. Disappointing as I have eaten Mexican food for 4 decades. Sweet staff.

I got the small size which was the perfect size for lunch without feeling like I was blocking myself 😂

Loved that you could choose 5 add-ins rather than the usual ones and pay extra for guac… Highly recommend!

Panchos Burritos

The restaurant and bar are really aesthetically-pleasing. However, that's where the positives stop. Service was really slow and the food was poor. We both ordered sirloin steak and waited almost an hour for it. I asked for medium-rare and you can see how overcooked it was in the pictures.

We wanted to have a warm lunch there but unfortunately they offer only toasts at that time there. So we stayed only for coffee and cake. But the flat white wasn't strong enough and the cake was dry and hard. But good staff and a nice place to sit.

Bang average.
Whilst the food was top notch and was a solid 9/10, the 2 staff that were on were clearly overwhelmed and not very experienced. Took several minutes to be seated as there were no staff on the shop floor originally with only 3 tables in.
Dirty  menus, empty salt shakers, glasses with lipstick on served and  coffee served without sugar or a teaspoon. Had  a discount voucher to use and staff tried to haggle on the discount amount trying not to honour the full amount originally which I found very strange. Music was 00s RnB which didn’t fit in for a Sunday dinner vibe. Both staff were nice but clearly inexperienced. 2 star service with 5 star prices.

Hotel brilliant as were the staff,however told we has been upgraded in our room which was hard to see and the view out of the window confirmed this.
Didn't appreciate while having evening meal people were allowed to come into the bar/restaurant and order drinks which in itself is probably ok however they were very drunk and loud .
Breakfast was brilliant though.

The food was lovely, if a bit on the expensive side but to be expected in a hotel restaurant. The waiting staff were very good and attentive.
The atmosphere should have been lovely and could be so easily improved - for some reason they were playing cheesy hits loudly, the sort of music that would get me dancing in a club at 2am but not what you want as you are eating dinner in a restaurant.

Federal Cafe Bar

Having seen the reviews I looked forward to having a nice brunch after a long week. The staff were friendly enough but felt churned through. Tables are crammed in together so you can just about get passed and you’re practically part of the next tables conversation. The food was very basic - in presentation and flavour. Examples are the granola bar looked like something I could make at home - just thrown in a bowl. The eggs Benedict had a few leaves of raw Spanish and the sourdough was almost impossible to get through because it was hard and brittle. Seems like it maybe was something great but has lost its shine. I left to get my coffee and a dessert elsewhere. Also quite pricey for what I actually had. The £3 extra avocado wasn’t great quality and had no seasoning. I don’t recommend.

The best Turkish eggs this side of Istanbul!

Wow what a hidden gem, I'm not surprised it's won so many awards. Everything from the atmosphere to the staff to the place settings was friendly & welcoming & that's before we even get on to the food!

Delicious coffee, the Turkish eggs were creamy garlicky goodness, the matcha strawberry French toast was just the right blend of lightness sweetness & freshness.  Both were beautifully presented too.

If Manchester is the  foodie capital of the north, Federal is the foodie place of Manchester!

I love this place! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The baristas were incredibly helpful and the service was quick for such a busy place. I would recommend going with another person, but not people as the line can be quite long. However, I will say after wanting in line for 15-20 minutes, the baristas helped lift our moods by offering blondies and some incredible hot chocolate! When we were finally seated, Josh so kindly offered us a free French toast. It was absolutely delicious. I would 100% coming here and ordering the steak and eggs too!

Stumbled across this place yesterday on a solo date. Such a lovely atmosphere and every single staff member was so friendly, welcoming and kind.
Can’t remember the name of the girl that seated me, but she was so lovely and an amazing representation of what great customer service is.
Food and drinks were delicious too!

I recently visited Federal Northern Quarter  and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was so welcoming and full of positive energy. The aesthetics are on point and the food was just as impressive as the atmosphere. You can tell that the staff truly cares about the experience they offer, and everyone was so friendly and attentive. Sam was amazing from the moment we got there. He brought the vibes and the great energy and made us feel right at home. Keeping us company in the queue, he had a good laugh with us and the wait didn’t feel like anything at all with the lovely company. It’s the kind of place that just makes you feel good, and I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy, vibrant spot with great food and an even better atmosphere.

Eat 2 Treat

I wish I would have read the negative reviews before I got some food from here. The display board said 1 chicken kebab wrap for £4 and 2 Kebab in it for £6. So i asked this young boy over the counter to give me just 2 kebabs as I did not want the wrap and how much would that cost? He took the 2 kebabs and packed them. I said I need them warm. He warned them, now this is the third now time I have said I want to take it out.  He then put it in a container. I asked to give me a Mango Rubicon. He charges me £7.5 now when I ask him to breakdown the order he says £6 for the kebab and £1.5 for the drink. I was like, but I said I don't want the wrap or salad, how is it the same price then? He bluntly ignores and speaks to the next customer. Now I say, you got to be joking, he says "I don't know". What does that even mean?
First of all selling drinks from a multipack which clearly says not to be sold as an individual pack (yes a lot of them do but charge no more than a quid) and then charges £1.5 for a can. Overly priced food, and beyond that his attitude that too for some tasteless expensive food. A big boooo

Excellent pakoras and samosas at Eat 2 Treat, located inside Manchester Arndale Market. Can’t wait to try their Biriani next. Highly recommend it for those craving Pakistani street food (chaat, samosa, pakora …)

I absolutely love this little Asian street food stall in the Manchester Arndale Food Market. I've been coming to the street food market for a couple of years now. I love the vibrant atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of the market. Eat 2 Treat is the place I go to most,  usually visiting once a week at lunch time. Great customer service, really friendly staff, and just really good street food at a very reasonable price. Definitely worth a try if you like Asian street food.

Top quality place and are great value for money compared against some of the pricier options in the Arndale market. Samosas are £1.20 and are really high quality. They have 3 different flavours, lamb mince, chicken and veg. Would highly recommend. Also they are in the eat out to help out scheme so 50% off Mon-Wed for the rest of August.

Loved my biryani, friendly service and gorgeous food.

Pizza had an excellent dough, excellent amount of sauce, excellent amount of cheese. You know that when u feel that ur sad it’s finished and you didn’t feel that it needs anything more.

Tiramisu was excellent as well, in pistachio it just needed to taste more pistachio, this doesn’t mean it needed extra cream, however, the cream itself when combined to all other ingredients needed to be more dominant of pistachio taste.

Overall, excellent pizza, will come back again for sure.

Absolutely loved this pizza spot in Manchester! The crust was perfectly crisp yet chewy, and the toppings were super fresh—especially the mozzarella and basil on the Margherita. Service was friendly and fast, with a relaxed vibe that made the whole experience even better. Great value for money too. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is a must-try for any pizza lover. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town!

Amazing pizzas, we ordered the fried spinach ravioli (insane and so different) and 2 pizzas to share - la calabrese pepperoni (one with burrata on top) and polpettina. We took 1/2 home! Some of the best pizza I’ve had and so fresh. It was a Saturday night so very busy and had to wait a little however we didn’t mind as the drinks kept us going. 🫶🏼 we really wanted the tiramisu however they had run out :( definitely not a place to miss

Came here for our anniversary dinner and we definitely would come back. Service was friendly and quite fast, sometimes felt a bit rushed. Food was really good. Had a couple of garlic breads to start with and they were both super tasty. Then our pizze came and we couldn’t be happier about them. Well cooked, interesting ingredients. Amazing. Finished off with their special dessert, which was the perfect ending for the meal. Already recommending to many of my other fellow Italians. Definitely give it a go.

Mr. Fries (Cheetham Hill)

We think these guys have nailed all their flavours with the wings! They offer them either Fried, Smoked or Grilled! The smoked concept seems pretty new for wings but it definitely works giving that bbq type feel to it! We really couldn’t pick a favourite in terms of the flavours as each had their own unique taste, some spicy, some sweet... you’ll definitely need to try them all!

They have also brought out some new burgers and sandwiches which again is perfected already! The Chicken Gravy Burger was so delicious, the gravy had so much flavour to it (possibly better than KFC!) paired with crispy battered chicken and also hash brown! You can even get this as a sandwhich 😋

They’ve also got a variety of coleslaws to serve! We tried the spicy slaw and mango slaw which we really enjoyed, perfect side to your wings! Talking of sides we can’t forget to mention their in house ranch sauces! They have a wide variety to offer which we recommend to try with your tasty wings 😋

Loved the lasagne fries I had before. This time, I tried the mac n cheese fries. Staff are very friendly as one man (didn’t catch his name but he wore glasses), helped me pick a flavour for the chicken. His recommendation was good! Loved the mac n cheese fries and this is now my new fave.

Wouldn't go here again.  Gave me a bad stomach. We went for iftar I got the box meal which was a smash burger, 3 chicken tender and chicken loads fries.... Smash burger was taste less and was super thin,  chicken tenders was decent ABIT grease like but probs the best item in my meal. The loaded fries were super spicy even though I got the garlic honey flavour. Soooo much burger sauce and mayo on there it was unreal.
The meal was served cold aswell.

I wouldn't go back.

Food came in excellent conditions through delivery. They provided appropriate packaging and all utensils showing care and attention to detail.

This and That is an Indian cafe offering a variety of combo meals and snacks. The best part about this cafe is that it’s both budget-friendly and delicious. The ambience and service were decent, though nothing exceptional. I tried their rice, curry, and a snack, and was satisfied with the meal.

Hidden gem just around the corner from Manchester bus station. Amazing Indian food, friendly stuff and a lot of happy customers at all times a day. Been there on Friday around 6pm and did not wait at all.

The street looks shady but the food is great! Very cheap! 👌

So good! I had rice and three veg - they were all very tasty and can’t go wrong for £6! My partner enjoyed his meat curries. Two rice and three, a garlic naan, one samosa and two cans for £19.30! You’re not getting food this good anywhere else in town for that price! Just wish I’d been sooner. Can’t wait to come back. Really friendly staff! Other people were having chapati’s and mango lassi’s and they looked really good.

Great place. Down a little alley. Cheap and cheerful food. The curry is very mild. You're out of luck if you want hot and spicy.

Stopped in the Arndale Market for some lunch. We settled on a chicken gyros from Zorbas as it’s one of our favourite cuisines.
The food was prepped in front of us, and was hot and fresh and delicious. The staff were really friendly too and we would recommend trying this option for lunch!

Had Lamb Geros  pita and chips.  Maybe I had a bad batch but yeah it was ok. Nothing special-couldn’t tell if it was chicken or lamb to he honest and was bland. Pulled out a couple of bones that got me thinking …so scared to take a big bit and land up choking.
Would I order it again-no

Been coming in here 10 plus years since college days. Excellent food and the friendliest of staff. Chicken & Spinach is the go to meal.

We ordered Chicken and Mushroom stew (it came with rice) and Gyros Salad. Both meals were delicious! Very well seasoned and nicely presented. The gentleman who served us was lovely and very friendly.

Fantastic food from fantastic people! I’ve come here almost everyday for over a year and all the choices are always amazing. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend. All the staff are also very friendly and service is super quick if you are short on time

Had a lovely experience at BUN Manchester! The service was great – really friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I ordered the loaded fries which were insane!! & toastie and it was so good – perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavour. Definitely hit the spot. Will be coming back for sure!

Overrated nothing special save your money go elsewhere for cheaper better meal never going back there again burger was soggy & nasty the burger smelt weird 🤮🤢they use the cheapest chips on the market that you would find in a corner shop loaded fries only thing good about them was the chicken itself you expect sum good food for the price £2 for a can of iron bru I’ve had better food from my local burger shop charge daft prices for crap food ain’t worth it 👎👎

Food is good but not exceptional. Onions overtaking the flavour in magic option. Maybe try caramelised onions. Fries were just avg frozen, chips would have been nice.

Plus they don’t take card which is strange in 2025. The prices are already high and they want only cash.

It was my first time trying B.U.N food, and I was blown away. I went there with my friends, We tried the signature beef Burger and loaded fries both perfectly cooked, seasoned beautifully, and plated with care. I have tried beef Burger many other places but this beef quality was bang on. The service was prompt and cheerful. Prices were mid range, and portions generous especially Loaded Fries.
The whole team worked smoothly together, we never had to wait too long for anything, even we went on busy weekend night highly
recommended 💯 😊

Sultan Turkish Grill

I always base my reviews on value for money.

The food was nice but for over £20 delivered I thought it was overpriced unfortunately.

More rice needed and maybe a side salad instead of that taking up a good portion of the tray.

Chips and bread portions also quite small for the price and again were nice enough.

100% Recommended, staff are amazing, kind, chatty and considerate, go very regularly and food is always at its best and cooked at its best standards. My son is very picky with food and it is one of his favourite places to go for food and he loves the milkshakes also, Hygiene is 10 out of 10 very clean place.

Really disappointed considering 4+ star reviews here. Food extremely average. I had lamb skewers. Tasty but very fatty. My husband had a mixed grill type, lots of his food was over cooked and burnt. The rice tasted like washing up liquid and un edible. Usually can’t go wrong with Turkish food but this place I wouldn’t recommend. No atmosphere either and the place was cold, I had to wear my coat.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Dining here was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The waitstaff acted like they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence, and when they finally brought out the food, it looked and tasted like something that had been microwaved from a week-old leftover bin.

The portions were laughably small for the absurd prices they charge, and the flavors ranged from bland to downright offensive. I ordered the pasta, which came out cold and clumped together like a soggy brick. My friend’s rice was so overcooked it could have been used as a hockey puck. I wouldn’t recommend

Truly appreciate the good food. As you can see in my pictures...looks really good as well. I'm from Leicester  but when i will come in Manchester definitely i stop here for a great authentic Turkish meal.Reccomend our waiter Efrem from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 😀. GOOD JOB!

Super Awesome Deluxe

Absolutely unreal. Juicy in the middle, crispy on the edges, just how a smash should be. The sauces? Saucy. The meat? High-grade TASTY goodness. The chips? Don’t even get me started. Golden, crunchy, salty little masterpieces. Every bite is a spiral experience and the vibes are immaculate. Washed down with a cherry lemo and life doesn’t get any better than this.
Wish I could give 6 stars, 100 even.

Tried Awesome and Deluxe. Awesome was so rich in flavour. Personally I loved Deluxe the freshness of lettuce and extra flavour of the spicy ketchup!! The fries were so good as well!

Came here for lunch, service was very fast, burger was very tasty (I had the Awesome). Plenty of fries, free ketchup, would have liked more dip options but will be back. Burger is served in a paper wrap, a little messy, but provided plenty of napkins and a fresh wipe. Card only.

During my two-week stay in Manchester, I ordered takeout from Super Awesome Deluxe twice and dined in once—and honestly, I have no idea how I’ll survive back home in Abu Dhabi without this place!

The Awesome burgers are insanely good—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The French fries are spot on, but the real star? The bold, mouthwatering flavors that make every bite unforgettable!

This is hands down one of the few places I’ll truly miss from Manchester. If I ever find myself back in the city, this will be my first stop!

Thought I knew smash burgers—turns out I’ve been living a lie. Got the “Awesome” burger (shredded onions, sauce, pickles, etc.) and wow, it’s a 10/10. Chef says the secret’s halal beef with chuck and marrow. Unique, insane flavor. Go eat it, you’ll cry happy tears.

Great Guys

I don’t ever leave reviews but this place really deserves to be an exception. I just had the perfect burger and loaded fries I have probably ever eaten. 10 on 10. So much value for such a high quality meal.

Tried the Smashburger at Great Guys, and wow, they know how to smash! Perfectly seasoned meat, all the classic toppings, and fries so crispy they might ruin other fries for you. The dining area could use a little TLC, but hey, we all know the more “rustic” the place, the better the food. Trust me, get yourselves there!

Would of been 10/10 if it was grilled for longer with more charring and Smoky flavour.

Atmosphere & seating area could do with improvements.
There were so many tables that needs cleaning ,I think a bigger bin with a table on top would help customers clean after themselves and put there used plates on top would help keep tables clean. Also shop was sooooo quiet maybe a TV or nasheed playing would make Atmosphere more relaxed and welcoming.

Got a take away of halloumi smashed burger and fries - this place deserves a mention! Great seasoning and service. If you ask for more sauce choices he will go back and grab them no matter how many times you ask, and the food comes out hot and delicious!

First visit and certainly won’t be the last staff from start to finish friendly engaging and set the scene for a perfect experience food was exceptionally good throughout chat bomb!! Glorious! lamb chops sublime tea steeped chickpea yummy and lamb, Goan fish curries so tasty plus side dishes complimented every else the G&T finished off the meal perfectly highly recommended

I dine in this great spot  a lot! This is my favorite place to pass a nice evening.  I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are of high quality, the team is courteous and the charge is fair. I enjoy going in this place for a rich supper.

Great food, beautiful restaurants and lovely friendly staff. The prices are good for the size of dishes too. The only thing that needs changing is the price of the breads. They are pricey for what you actually get considering a main dish is only a little bit more so it soon bumps the price up. It’s definitely the type of restaurant that you want to order a few dishes each for the table to share

The food here was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and lovely! I would recommend 2-3 dishes each person so that you'll be left satisfied. They have a variety of dishes so choosing a few items will be more convenient for you! Went here for my graduation was such a beautiful evening, staff were so kind, considerate and attentive. The food was out of this world, have a fussy family and everyone found something to enjoy, plates were empty! Great prices for the amazing quality of food can’t wait to return! Thank you for my graduation surprise also! Cannot recommend enough especially for special occasions or dates even as the decor was beautiful and in such a great location.

Wonderful food and very good service. The dishes were served very quickly and tasted amazing. Their daal is 10/10. The avocado dish (starter) was definitely my favourite. The local larger beer is very good too. The place is very cozy and their tap water is served with mint and cucumber. I’m in love with this place.

We had a lovely time last Friday. The menu is a perfect balance between veg and non veg options. The food is delish and the service is immaculate. Everyone was very friendly and happy to make suggestions when asked. Despite being super busy considering it’s Eid weekend, everyone was gracious, took their time with us and catered to our needs. Would definitely visit again.

Quite a nice place to have some Indian food. Food is great, what I like the most about this place is they have really simple small menu. So choices are easy and food is fresh and tasty. Staff are great, always welcoming. Will defo reccomend giving it a try

Beautifully cooked curry in the heart of Manchester!
The butter chicken Tikka Massala was perfectly flavored and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The naan was really well done as well. I would only say they should put more chicken in it, it seemed like a lot of sauce and not enough substance. But I still really loved it.

My girlfriend got kadhai paneer and really enjoyed it as well. Lots of flavors and lots of substance to that dish.

Drinks were great as well!

The staff seemed kind of all over the place as there were 3 people who came to our table to ask us what we wanted in 2 minutes. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I would love to go again!
