@querkycafe Before lockdown, we visited Querky cafe’s newest branch in Shadwell. They offer well priced and affordable halal brunch and lunch options, everything from milk cakes and french toast to burgers and loaded fries, all in a cosy and comfortable setting with plenty of seating. We enjoyed the Querky Burger and Southern Fried Wrap, with crispy, tender chicken and a refreshing salsa sauce, while the loaded fries were cheesy and full of flavour.

So whether you’re a student looking for a place to study or craving a quick lunch and coffee, Querky Cafe is definitely worth checking out post lockdown !

Querky Cafe

Was left bitterly disappointed. We got the big breakfast and the non veg Indian breakfast. The big breakfast was edible but I’m not exaggerating when I say my non veg Indian breakfast was disgusting! I got the butter chicken and it tasted like it was made by a messy 2 year old. No flavour, sour taste, and just horrible to eat. Then they had this brown wholemeal omelette thing which was again so un-tasty (why not just make a normal omelette?). It cost £15 too which isn’t cheap. Service wasn’t good at all, surprised to hear they don’t own a hand sanitizer! And the tables were sticky - had to ask them to clean it. There are no tissues on the tables you have to go up and grab them.

Really lovely cafe in Watney Market right next to the station.

I would definitely recommend grabbing a coffee or hot drink from this place over Starbucks or Costa any day of the week.

They do really nice hot drinks such as pink Kashmiri tea and Turmeric Tea with loads of vegan milk alternatives.

The food menu is great ranging from Halal all day breakfasts to vegan breakfasts and are really good portions of premium/ gourmet meals that are really good standards and not hot or miss like traditional breakfast cafe's.

Plus they also do pretty nice looking dessert waffles and much more worth trying.

The meals come out fairly quickly and the staff are very nice to bring your meals to your table and make sure you have all you need.

One thing I must add is the decor and seating is really splendid. You can choose from nice large booth seating, barstool seating or corner table seats that are separate from the ordering till and feel really private, clean, contemporary and secluded.

All in all definitely worth a visit.

The photo added is all the food that was left after we was done eating! Literally the worst cafe in the whole of east london! So bad that i reckon the good reviews are from customers who have gained something financially or must be friends or family members of the business owners because aint no way that people can enjoy this food! DO NOT RECOMMEND! My advise? Your better of staying hungry 👍🏽

A hidden gem in Shadwell, away from busy central London and it's many tourists, lies Querky Cafe. I very much enjoyed and recommend the Big Breakfast. 2 different types of pork-free meats, eggs, hash browns, SPICY grilled mushrooms, beans, and grilled tomato, complete with a side of toast. A great place to enjoy breakfast and brunch that I will be sure to visit again!

I love Querky Cafe. The food is top notch. The staff are welcoming and the ambience is second to none. They have a loyal customer base ans it’s easy to see why. 5 stars
