When I first came, well over 10 years ago, I said to my daughter, ‘they’re offering perfect,  genuine & authentic Caribbean food. Watch this place take off like a rocket’! With the greatest of pleasure, I’ve watched this business go from strength to strength & massive success. Fabulous food, lovely people & I will keep coming back for their excellent food & delicious drinks as well as telling everybody, go & eat at Jerk Junction - it’s absolutely delicious every single time ❤️💛💚

Jerk Junction: The Curry Goat That Demands a Pilgrimage ​Five Stars \star\star\star\star\star ​If you want to know how good Jerk Junction's food is, let me tell you this: I live in Newcastle, and I genuinely make the over 150-mile trip to Manchester specifically for their Curry Goat. ​I usually tell my friends and family I'm coming down to see them, but honestly, they are just my convenient alibi! My true, deeply spiced love waits at Jerk Junction, and everything else is just a bonus. ​The Curry Goat and Rice and Peas from Jerk Junction is, without exaggeration, one of my favourite foods in the entire world. The goat is always incredibly tender, the gravy is deep, rich, and perfectly spiced, and the rice and peas are the perfect, authentic foundation. It’s soul food done right. ​A little note on my last fix: while it wasn't as spicy as it usually is (and I love the heat!), the flavour still completely hit the mark. It's consistently delicious regardless. ​The last time I was desperate for a portion, my parents were dropping my grandmother off at Manchester Airport. My exact instructions were not about the luggage, but to "Please, for the love of God, bring me back a portion of Jerk Junction Curry Goat." They delivered, and it was a masterpiece, even reheated. ​I’ve told everyone who will listen: I'll know I've truly made it to Jannah when I find a plate of Jerk Junction's Curry Goat with Rice and Peas waiting for me. Until then, you can find me making the long, but always worthwhile, journey down the A1. ​Don't walk, run to this place. Had a brilliant lunch here today. Ordered a large box with half rice, half chips, topped with curried chicken, peppered steak, and jerk chicken and a side of coleslaw. The food was seriously wonderful - generous portions, bags of flavour on the jerk and the other meats. Big shoutout to Sheree who was really kind and welcoming, and took us through the different meal options! Will definitely be coming back!

when I tell you this spot is a 10/10 I mean that with all my heart. Out of all the Caribbean restaurants that I’ve been to in my whole life, this is the best by FARRRR. Far exceeded my expectations.
Music 10/10, vibe 10/10, food 10000/10, customer service 10/10. Kay served me, such a lovely girl and was so nice to us. Best customer service from a Jamaican establishment ifykyk🤣 but overall 100/10 must visit if you’re in Chrolton.

Absolutely awful.
Ordered the festive wrap with no cranberry sauce. Received the festive wrap, not wrapped as the wrap was completely stale and breaking apart, cranberry sauce all on the bottom of it and plantain which it shouldn’t come with and I didn’t ask for as I’m ALLERGIC. Oh and no stuffing either.
Terrible would not go back £11.99 wasted.!!

We ordered chicken tikka with chips and kebabs from Spices of Kashmir, and both were unfortunately terrible. The food smelled awful, and we couldn’t even eat it — we ended up throwing it away. Really disappointed and would not recommend eating from this place.

Nipped in for something to eat before the match. Friendly service, delicious kebabs (chicken and donner mix and chicken and seekh mix), just enough and still couldnt finish the naan but the highlight was the chilli sauce. Not had one like it and it was lovely.

Been here today with my family. It's a good joint for a quick grab on the go with a variety of dishes to choose from.

Make sure to try their Seekh Kebabs and tikkas, avoid rice as mine was a bit too dry. Overall and okayish experience.

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, where both the service and the food exceeded my expectations. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the Chicken Burna was especially flavorful. The Samosa and rice were also delicious and made for a perfect meal. However, what truly stood out was the customer service. Muhammad went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable dinner. His attentiveness and warm hospitality made the experience truly memorable. He is a tremendous individual and a pure human, and his kindness really enhanced our visit. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you, Muhammad, for treating us wonderfully!

Great service from the manager, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was amazing, fresh and full of flavour. The staff were really helpful, offering service with a smile and making the whole experience enjoyable. From the warm meet and greet to the attentive service, everything was spot on. Highly recommended!

Ordered seabass, smashed potatoes and plantain, my son got spicy rice, jerky wings and corn. Amazing taste, enjoyed every bit and moment! Waiting time is not short, but that means you’re getting pure fresh food - so it worth it! Hope this place will open restaurant soon where you can sit and enjoy this nice food! Thank you!

We visited during the bank holiday - we had a man versus food box. If you are paying by card, you have to pay and order via app. There is street parking. The food was incredibly amazing. I loved the shrimp and the lobster’s tail. The lady working behind the counter you could tell she really cared about customer service and presentation. A little bit disappointing you advertise a promotion code on your website but it doesn’t work.

First time here today & it did not dissappoint.  Service was great, guy running the place was great helped me order & food came quick & fresh & hot!! I had the surf & turf box it absolutely was banging!! Wil be back again 5/5 experience

This place lives up to the hype. I got my first bando box tonight and honestly the flavours were unreal. I’m real picky with my food but everything was on point! Food was hot and full of flavour, the wings were crispy and huge! Plenty of sweet ripe plantin and I absolutely love that they serve the fresh waffle in separate containers now! Pls don’t ever stop doing that. Worth every penny I’m already planning my next trip 😍

Extremely slow service (50 min wait) wings are so tiny. If a restaurant charges premium prices, the service should be quicker and the wings, should be larger to match the value customers expect.

Great food. Great service. Nothing like it. I forgot my BBQ wings, they delivered it for me and put in extra. Thank you for brilliant service, guys!

While there is no doubt that the quality of their food is excellent, I was disappointed by the service during my visit yesterday. The staff member who was taking orders was quite rude to customers and repeatedly went to the back to spit, which was extremely unprofessional. The staff should be polite and welcoming, especially when interacting with customers. If the management is unable to hire better staff, it might be wise to reconsider operations altogether. This review is intended as constructive feedback for the management. Aside from that, the food remains fresh and delicious.keep up the great work in that regard. Consider this advice for improvement. 👍

Was it Deens delight....

Manchester is the place of the spicy chicken burgers, no doubt. When a new establishment opens, I need to check it out. That's only if I'm in the area.

How did Deens spicy chicken burger stack up against all the competition?

It was a good tasty chicken burger freshly made. Not as spicy as the other chicken burgers I've had. Burger isn't and big as some of the other competitors. Chips were standard, nothing special.

Did I enjoy it? Yes without a shadow of doubt. The spicy sauce had a more flavourism profile, than heat which made it more tasty to eat.

Deens is in a good location, parking not an issue and they have seating which is nice.

Overall I would say worth trying.

Just went into Deens to try their new spicy chicken burger after seeing it on their socials and I was pleasantly surprised to see the results! The bun to chicken ratio was perfect and it was also nice to have a spicy dipped chicken burger without being drenched in orange hot sauce which then makes the bun disintegrate and fall apart. The burger had a good kick to it and leaves your mouth tingling with the spice after every bite! Great addition to the menu for deens and can't wait to come back! Also they have swapped their fries for chips which are much better! Spicy chicken wings are fire as always!

As always, Chillyz never disappoints. Excellent food with excellent friendly service. Everything is freshly made to order. I recommend ringing up and ordering for collection. Portions are pretty large and really well priced. The limited edition Baad boy burger was fantastic. I hope it's added to the regular menu. Great food, great value for money and great service. What more could you ask for?

Mix Steak and Chips is my favourite thing here. I am yet to try the burgers. My only reservation would be that the meat portions could be a tad bit more generous and there could be a little more salad to ease the heat. Other than that flavour wise it hits the spot!  Will definitely be visiting again!

Absolutely amazing place to eat. Standards increase by each visit and the food is prepared with the best cuts of meat (no fat at all) and with love and respect.
The owner is amazing and very engaging and funny, and staff are very welcoming and nice.
Great family environment and a hidden gem in Manchester that needs to be visited.

Real authentic home cooked yard food! Food was unreal!! We both had mixed dinners made up of jerk chicken,curry goat and lamb chops. Meat was falling off the bone,flavours were popping and the fact it’s from someone’s house tops it off! Service was efficient and the guy was friendly and chatting away with us.

We travelled to Manchester from Warwick and would 100% do it again. We ate in the car but there is a small seating area in the garden otherwise it’s takeaway.

Down the ginnel at the back of an unassuming road, you may struggle to see it at first but the smell will guide you. The clear winner here is value for money as it beats out anywhere else local by miles.

Curry goat & brown stew chicken were bang on, guarantee now that I'll be back to try other things on the menu. Little gem that's slowly getting noticed more. 1000% worth a try.

They said their card machine wasn’t working, and only found this out when they got to the end and people in front of me had to leave after waiting.

I asked for cooked down chicken, jerk chicken, plantain and fruit punches. Only the jerk chicken was available. I asked for steamed veg on both portions and was only given on one.

It came to £17, I gave a twenty, only to be told he had no change. Even though I assume people had paid in cash beforehand. He offered me a “Bigga” It had no taste and I was still short changed 50 pence. It’s not going to break the bank, and I know it’s a no nonsense place, but a bit of customer care would have been appreciated.

The food itself was nice. I asked for extra sauce, which I paid for, and it didn’t seem enough. Maybe I’ll come back for the oxtail or earlier in the day. Always want local businesses to succeed, I hope they read this as constructive feedback. Bless up

Food is top tier. Service is great and I personally love the location, very authentic Jamaican touch. Best prices in the area, imo.

*edit - this is my go-to now. Food is consistently good-good. The drinks, top tier, I tried beetroot and ginger recently and it was SO good. The team are great and the vibe is nice.

Not all menu items available everyday, better to ask what’s on. Can get busy so, bear in mind if on your lunch break. Absolutely worth the wait, though. 💯

My family and I visited Mlk and we were beyond impressed. The food was by far some of the best we’ve had in a really long time. We ordered the triple smash burger, the beefburt toastie and the loaded fries. The portions were huge, everything tasted incredible and the value for money was great.

The service was lovely. The host, Abdallah was kind, friendly and very accommodating.

Overall we were impressed and will definitely be doing another trip from Leicester to support this business!

Will try to keep it concise because the overall rating speaks volumes. TLDR; it's sensational.

We were looking for a place to eat coming from Scotland and MLK came up.

Chicken sandwich was incredible, chicken was packing flavour and just the right amount of cheese to not be overpowering. Bread was crispy, no flop at all and held its shape. Sometimes these bigger sandwiches and burgers can fall apart as soon as you go near it, not here.

Beef loaded fries tasted phenomenal as well. The meat was very nicely seasoned with hints of heat and smoky. They use a Chipotle burger sauce alongside a regular ranch type sauce, both tasted great. Can't really fault it.

Beef burger was top tier. Again nicely seasoned, good amount of salad to help break through the meaty texture. Nice and juicy, good level of crust on the patty (I wouldn't have minded a bit more but I'm nitpicking). Only slight criticism with the burger is maybe slightly too much sauce on it but that's a minor blemish on an otherwise excellent burger. (i didn't get a pic of the burger I got too impatient cos it looked so damn good)

Service was good, had to wait around 15 mins for my food and it came piping hot. Its a must try

MLK BURGERS is hands down the best spot for burgers in town! The patties are juicy, the toppings are fresh, and the buns are toasted to perfection. The service is always friendly and fast, even on busy days. I've tried a few different menu items, and everything has been consistently delicious. We walked in and were greeted by Abdallah, who made us all feel welcome. We asked for a recommendation and ended up going for the Nashmess burger meal. The food came out hot and fresh the fries were hot and crunchy, and the burgers were well put together with the right amount of sauce. The chicken was amazing. We would definitely come back.
