KFC Leytonstone - High Road

I don’t think that I’ve ever left a Google review for a huge fast food chain before as you know what you’re getting when you buy food this way, despite it being ridiculously overpriced at KFC, you pay because you fancy that certain taste of the chicken, which I’ve never had literally BURNED before!!

This times an exception, I know that kids and students typically work at these places to fill the gaps on their CV and it will be busy on a Friday, but there’s no excuse to the person who knowingly overcooked the food like this and to the other person who knowingly packed it into my order. Ridiculously expensive for so little food, the local greasy chicken shop would never. Won’t order from here again and it’s put me off KFC.

I been eating kfc for more than 15 years but I first time eat a pathetic meal of 3 pieces chicken fries and drink cost 7.49 the pictures will explain how KFC chicken look like it was very disappointing not even single ketchup was there and the lady give me the bag

One of the poorer KFCs. Chicken is never juicy. Staff disinterested. Tried it on a few occasions but it's not a one off. Plenty other food outlets in the area to take your custom to.

HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

Argentinian Steakhouse in the heart of south Leytonstone

I've been to alot of restaurants in my life, but honestly, this plave must be one of my favourite restaurants and best finds.

Every thing that went into my mouth from the steaks to the sauces were all fantastic. When this steak platter came to my table my eyes lit up. The deep rich flavours of the steaks here are unlike anything else you can get in London, even ones that cost double or triple elsewhere don't come close.

The Best steak for me is the rib eye, 250g, medium rare. The filet is a close second and the sirlion and rump would be excellent if it wasn't for the ridiculous levels that the rib eye sets.

Honestly, I've been to close to 1000 restaurants in less than 10 years. This is one of my favourites.

This is my second visit to @asado_steakhouse and I tried the epic Asado ultimate platter which consists of 4 beautiful 250g cuts of sirlion, rib eye, rump and filet steaks.

I also got some lamb ribs and massive tiger prawns as well as a selection of sides.

I first came to this place a few months back and posted about it, all of the feedback I got from followers was glowing and the owner reached out to me and invited me back as a way of saying thank you for helping his business. He's a really nice restaurant owner who cares about food and making sure his customers get the best food experience.

Asado Steakhouse

We went to Asado Steakhouse with no expectations, and it quickly became mine and my husband’s favourite steakhouse. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all 10/10.
My husband is a serious steak lover and very particular, and he gave his approval almost immediately. The steaks were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The service truly made the experience outstanding: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Highly highly recommend.

Came here for the first time with my partner. Was recommended and told very good food so had to give it a try myself. Service was excellent, cleanliness not an issue. Served immediately and waiters were very friendly and welcoming.  We ordered the Rump Steak 250g twice, mushroom sauce, chips and mac and cheese. Total Bill came to just under £60.

We did not wait no longer than 10 minutes for our food, we was surprised it came out so quickly, steak was cooked very well and the sides were also good.

Do recommend booking in advance if you have a big group, family friendly also with a great atmosphere, there is pay and display bays local to the restaurant on the side roads and the main road close to the restaurant.

Will definitely come here again.

The food here is overall good, but there are some hits and misses. The wagyu burger is the standout – tasty,and it is nice. On the other hand, the chicken can taste a bit plain, and the chips aren’t great, often coming out quite dry.

Still, the portions are fair and the burgers are the main highlight. If you’re coming here, I’d recommend going straight for the wagyu burger.

I came here the other day with friends after a long time. The food here has always been amazing, and it was a great visit as usual. I haven’t been coming here as often as I’d liked to, but it’s definitely worth making time for. I’d recommend this place to anyone, and the food will never disappoint you, and the shop is very well kept.

Please train your staff to use more than one paper back as we had 3 burger meals and wrap all placed in one bag. Accident occurred where bag collapsed, all food fell on the ground. Informed the young sister who was there as she answered the call, she did offer to make new meal, but this means coming back to the shop, this has caused inconvenience, you had no great range of drinks, no alternative options with meals as options of popular drinks not available, it seems the young sister has been trained by management to cut corners, don't use too many bags, put it all in one. I miss the old Texas, they were reasonable in price and service, you guys have over priced and quantity is small.

Smoked Chicken like this has gotta be appreciated. And rare to see cooked in a pit barrel. @backyardbbqz seem to be really popular and loved by many and I finally got to try it out. The smoked special was packed full of flavour and for under £13 for the flavour and quality isn't bad at all imo.

Oaklahoma Smash was brilliant. The meat quality was very good and their roasted garlic butter mayo with the spicy mayo just made it more special. A great burger.

The loaded fries could easily be shared and enjoyed these too. The spicy dip burger lacked flavour and kick but the chicken itself was so well done it was still enjoyable. Korean wings were a treat too, I could tell a distinct Korean flavour to the usual and would definitely get those next time.

Overall a solid spot, I'm late to try this but if you haven't, this was near restaurant quality food being served in a food truck and I love how they've gone beyond to provide these extra flavours.

The Sunflower Café & Crêperie

Great atmosphere, great service, tasty well presented healthy food!  It’s lovely to know that this cafeteria is here in the heart of Leytonstone! I’ve visited a few times before with friends and family. The atmosphere and the layout is warm and inviting and very clean. The dishes and panini’s are tasty!  It’s a great choice for children and families after a long hard day at school too! I also feel very comfortable dining solo, which is good to know. The variety of fresh salads 🥗 are enjoyable too.  As for the portions, I can’t complain, I even end up taking some home!  How can I forget the dessert ranges and mouth watering variety of Gelato 🍧 my favourite! The staff are extremely polite and cater for your needs . The place is accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs too. I’ll definitely be back!

I've been coming to the sunflower cafe for over 2 years now.

I honestly find it to be the most comfortable and good tasting food in the area.

The place is very comfortable for sitting and doing my work on my laptop.

The coffee I find to be the best ive tried around and they have a great selection of herbal teas also.

They also have a wicked iced coffee that tatse like cream it's divine!

The food is delecious very fresh and simple my favourite is the home made salmon Quiche with a nice bit of salad!

They have great crepes as well !

My children love to grab one on the weekend with the lovely ice cream selection they have.

The service has always been amazing very friendly staff and clean environment.

I can not recommend enough great for families and people who need a quiet and calm space to work !

Lovely venue, appearance and cleanliness amazing. Staff are very business, the space is very suitable for a 'Business Meeting'-they have a clean water machine. The size of the Coffee cups are very large.. quality of ingredients could be improved for the price charged.

I had the chicken salad with avocado and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had so far — fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavour. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

I happen to visit the cafe during hi team time. It is perfect place to relax with outdoor terrace seating in a warm and sunny day. The interiors are bright and inviting as well.

The food is fresh with all European flavours to savory crepes . The cafe offers a wide choice of tea & coffee selection along with pastry & Ice cream to offer.

The service was prompt and warmly anticipated.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

ZAXX - KOREAN KITCHEN

We came here for my 13-year-old cousin’s birthday lunch, and honestly, the food was really good. We ordered the tteokbokki, the beef rice bowl, soy garlic wings, and the loaded fries, everything was tasty!

The tteokbokki was the star of the show. I’ve tried it in a few places before, but this one was so flavourful and perfectly soft. The wings tasted great too, just on the smaller side. The loaded fries and beef bowl were both delicious, though I found the rice a bit too mushy — a sushi-rice base would’ve been better and it was quite unexpected ri have loads of zucchini and spinach in it. That said, the toppings were super generous, which I loved.

Ordering was really convenient with the QR code, kiosk, or paying at the till, but the service itself felt a little absent. No one really checked in on us, even though it’s a small spot and was empty. I later found out the girl serving us was only 16, which explains the service - she probably didn’t want to spend her Sunday working but here we are. However, I do think a bit more attentiveness would make a huge difference — especially when it’s not busy.

The drinks were decent, the food was fantastic, and I already know I’ll be back. The flavours of the loaded fries, soy garlic wings & tteokbokki were especially tasty and I’d happily order those again :)

Walked past this shop on a lunchtime walk, owner spotted me peering in through the window. The place from the outside looks a bit mediocre but when you enter the decor is amazing. They have a kiosk but the owner is very inviting and offers his best opinion on dishes to choose from. Being a pescatarian I chose the prawn Bibimbap bowl (hope I spelt that correctly). Zain the owner asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a large for £3 more and I said yes. They have table water on a small shelf and plenty of glasses, so my drink was sorted. After a short wait, I was pleasantly surprised with a stacked bowl, pot of slaw and pink ginger shavings. My silver cutlery, quite cleverly, came in a rubber enclosure which I thought was unique and a nice touch. There are plastic cutlery and chopsticks on every table. Now the food - oh my gosh, lovely hot crispy prawns and plenty of them, nice rice at the bottom, noodles, lettuce, cucumber, carrot - the list is endless and the taste was sublime. Cool bass’y music I was in heaven. Zain came over and asked me if I wanted anything else - I was more than happy with what I had. Certainly coming back to this place. Excellent vegan options too. I ate all of my food without an ounce left over. Deffo coming back.

The kids love korean food so I treated them to Zaxx. It is a nice, cosy place. The food was decent and the portions were generous. Zaynab took care of us, she was very knowledgeable, her service was fantastic. Only thing disappointing, was that we were provided with cutlery but no plates. It's difficult to eat out of the boxes. When we requested plates a couple were given. It was a bit uncomfortable eating out of the box. Also didn't find any knives with the cutlery provided. The boneless chicken were very good size so would have preferred to have knives to cut into smaller pieces. On the whole, we had a lovely experience and enjoyed the food.

Our top items has to be the wings and the cheese dog! That Gochujang sauce on the wings was perfectly sweet and slightly spicy at the same time and very generous for the portion size! The cheese dog is a must try! The creamy sauce on top paired really nicely with the cheese, you can't go wrong!

We also tried out one of their chicken burgers, you can choose between breast or thigh, we opted for thigh and just look at how big it was! The flavours were quite strong in ginger which I think is an acquired taste but nonetheless it goes well with the sweet bbq!

I ordered a BBQ burger on uber eats and the chicken was most rubbery piece of meat I have ever had in my life. I’ve ordered a few times and it’s been really nice, I was not going to leave a review but when I called the shop the woman over the phone was not sympathetic at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely disgust food and service. I cannot even cut the chicken with a knife and fork and the woman over the phone has the audacity to say are you sure and not even an apology.

Red Camel

If you’re craving authentic home-cooked style Afghan food then you won’t be disappointed! We ordered the pulao rice with lamb - so tasty! The lamb was tender and the rice was delicious! We also ordered the aubergine stew which was also devious and went really well with the rice. We also ordered a bread which was great. The meal came with fresh cucumber, tomato, and onion salad and a really zingy green chilli sauce. I will definitely be back and will try the lamb tikka skewers which the chef recommended. The rice size we ordered was a Large and it was more than enough for 2 people. We had leftovers which we took home. So happy we stumbled across this authentic Afghan restaurant!

Excellent food, the qabily pallow was my highlight - incredibly juicy lamb falling off the bone with beautifuly seasoned rice. The mixed grill came in with a generous portion, the lamb chops were exceptionally tender and juicy.

To top it off, the service was warm and welcoming!

One of the best Afghani cuisine. Top notch Quality with reasonable price. We ordered Qabuli Pulao and Chapli Kebab and the taste was very good. I think this is one of the best taste place in waltham forest county.

Red Camel is a total gem! I went there with some friends, and we were blown away by the incredible Afghan food. Seriously, everything we ordered was top-notch. The lamb and chicken wings were out of this world – so tender and juicy, they practically melted in your mouth. The kebabs were some of the best I've ever tasted, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was great too. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious Afghan dining experience, Red Camel is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I recently visited Red Camel Restaurant and was quite disappointed. The staff were unfriendly, and there was no menu provided before ordering. After the meal, I was charged almost double what I expected. The food quality was poor and lacked flavour. The shop is also very small, with only two tables available, which makes it uncomfortable to dine in. Overall, it felt overpriced and not worth the money or time. I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience

I wish I could give minus 100 stars! Extremely disappointing experience. After taking my order, the staff completely forgot about it and started serving other customers who arrived after me. I waited far longer than necessary, only to be ignored. This kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. Poor service, lack of professionalism, and zero respect for customers.

Second visit and still a 10/10! Super friendly staff and top-quality food. Consistent, delicious, and worth coming back for!

Shah's Halal Food is a MUST-TRY! Their Chicken Rice Platter and Chicken Gyros are absolute perfection! The chicken is cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful. The rice is fluffy and aromatic, and the white sauce is a game-changer. The service is also top-notch, friendly and attentive. I've been craving for more ever since I had it. If you're a fan of halal food or just looking for a delicious meal, Shah's Halal Food is the place to go! 5-star rating isn't enough, I'd give it 10/10! Highly recommend trying their Chicken Rice Platter and Chicken Gyros!

I ordered from ubereats yesterday and unfortunately they didn’t get the order right, ubereats were of no help but I contacted the restaurant direct instead. Spoke to Hasnat and he was extremely helpful and gave me the correct order which I am grateful for. Very good service and food is nice as well.

We were invited to @thehungrycowlondon to try out their food and we weren’t disappointed! We ordered the Buttermilk Chicken, Hungry Cow, Clucking Cow, Oh my Cod burger and chicken nuggets. The buttermilk chicken burger was tender and flavoursome. It was refreshing to see that the chicken fillet was an actual fillet, especially for a bargain price of £3.50. The hungry cow was an epic 4 x beef patty burger filled witch cheese, gherkins and ketchup- this was probably the best remake of a Big Mac we’ve had! The fish burger (oh my cod) was also really great, soft inside, crunchy outside and oozing with mayo (definitely better than a fillet-o-fish).

As always, no burger meal is complete without fries and these fries did not disappoint; simple, salty, McDonald’s-like fries. Another great item we got was the Milk Cake, which had the rasmalai flavour that has become so popular in East London...and the best part, it was only £3! 😱

Overall, a great fast-food experience; yummy, inexpensive and in the heart of East London! ✅

The Hungry Cow - Leytonstone E11

Smash burger was a good size despite the stated 3oz, definitely a step up from the cheaper burger patty. Good burger sauce, almost like a really nice quarter pounder.
The chicken bites were yummy as a side, spicier than regular nuggets and had a crispy outer, imagine boneless hot wings from kfc.
Maccy D style chips and exotic 7up completed my order for a very nice meal. Only neg would be if only it were a tad cheaper.

went from an initial 3 star review down to a 1. Here’s why…
First time ordering, everything came with so much sauce the burgers were falling apart. The “smash burger” isn’t an actual smash burger just a beef patty slightly battered up.  First time experience was bad but thought let’s try again hence it’s the only place open at such a late hour….
Had specific instructions on Uber eats not to add so much sauce etc. which was completely ignored.

Fries also came over cooked, my suspicion is that it was refried.
Also when a customer orders £40 worth of food have the decency to send tissues and a few sauce sachets so they can at least try and eat the fries that are already over cooked.

Listen to instructions next time u jokes.

Only thing worth getting is the buttermilk chicken burger. Anything else you’re paying for is overpriced processed junk.

Such a good restaurant.  Hands UP best restaurant that is HALAL in leytonstone. Although small and you can't dine in its ONE OF THE BEST restaurants.  The smash burgers, wraps , sides EVERYTHING. So good! Delicious. I wish I could give it a 10 stars. The Algerian sauce u used before is AWE AMAZING. U NEED TO BRING IT. LIKE ITS A BANGER BRO. This years chef , or whoever cooks the food needs a AWARD OR A OSCAR. OR PERHAPS. THEY NEED TO GO ON A COOKING SHOW. Hope someone reads this!

Hands down the best! The food was delicious and flavourful freshly made, one of my most favourites is double smash burger and Miami heat chicken dip, The presentation was stunning, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Highly recommend 🤗

Ordered and paid for a large meal and this is the portion size they provide. Won't be returning. In answer to your response the photo was taken as soon as the order received not after it was half eaten. Can provide you with a time stamp if you want? How about sorting your customer service out rather than making false accusations?

Mum Likes Thai Food (Leytonstone)

Pad thai was very orange and not a pleasant texture, overall just very sweet. Flavour not balanced. 1 star

Green curry was decent, good portion and balanced flavours but lacking spice. 4 star

The red duck curry flavour was good but the texture of the duck was not pleasant. The duck's texture was similar to being simmered/cooked for too long and was getting mushy. Again also lacks heat. 3 star

A small but very coat thai restaurant, that has a very warm ambience. The food is very authentic and delicious. What more can be said? It's a great place to eat on any given night.

I had the pad Thai with crackers and sticky mango rice.

Was pretty shocked by an order made this evening through Deliveroo that amounted to £50. We ordered four dishes; they arrived in small Tupperware containers that were not even half full. We also paid extra for “extra tofu” in the red curry- there were only four small pieces of tofu in the entire container. We were quite frustrated at how unbelievably expensive this order was considering how little food we received. The food itself was quite tasty- but we will not be ordering from here again because the value for money was simply terrible.

Brilliant tasty takeaway for our family night in last Saturday. The only problem was choosing from the extensive on-line menu, but the descriptions of each dish helped tremendously. I went for prawn Pad See Mao, nicely spicy; our vegetarian chose veggie Pad Thai; our pescatarian had prawn Pad See; our full-on carnivore had chicken Red Curry. We shared a starter of veggie Spring Rolls, and a side of broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce.
The meal was delivered on time, still piping hot, and it was all totally delicious. None of us was disappointed with our choices, which is a first!

First time here as our other local Thai restaurant was closed. The staff Christine and Abdul were very warm and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. The food is delicious,  beautifully presented and the fresh fruit tea - "Mum likes Happy Tea", to die for. Atmosphere and decor warm and cosy. The competition  between Mum likes Thai and our regular place is so close...We'll be back. My other half has already organised a men's night out there. Enjoy💞

New Halal Breakfast in Leytonstone, East London @coffeegardenn . I'm born and raised in Leytonstone and when I came across a newly opened spot that does a Halal Breakfasts I thought I'd check it out. 

The restaurant/cafe is clean, modern, and has a great menu of fresh food and drinks available. There's a selection of the classics for breakfast, Full English, Eggs Benedict, Royale, and Florentine. As well as a range of Italian pasta like Lasagna and some Turkish breakfasts, ( I think its a Turkish run place) 

I started my breakfast with some freshly make juices, I went for an Apple and Strawbery. I also ordered Full Halal English Breakfast (prices and menu on the last slide), Avocado Breakfast (changed to fried eggs), Eggs Florentine, and a Lasanga. 

The Full English £7.40, was very good, well presented, it felt quite premium and the sausages actually tasted of meat, and no cheap bread for the toast here either.

Eggs Florentine, (that's the one with Spinach, I was gonna go for salmon or meat, but felt like veg), it was okay, needs a little improvement, the muffin was toasted a bit too much, so it was hard to cut and the Hollandaise sauce wasn't thick or buttery enough for me. 

The Lasagna for me was very classic, meaning if you like your hard-hitting flavors this wasn't the one, this one needed some chili sauce! But that's a personal preference. 

Oh, I was given some desserts to try but I was too stuffed to try them! But they looked good!

It's a great spot to "Work from home" during the week if you are local, there are 2 spaces, cafe seating in the front or a more chilled out area in the indoor garden at the rear. For parking, during the week, I would recommend parking in the B&M car park which is not far. UPDATE 2/10/20 The cafe is NOW OPEN 7 days a week! 

I enjoyed it here, the service was good, the food was good, the place clean and modern. Great spot for Saturday Breakfast!

Coffee Garden

We went for breakfast on a Saturday, where it was empty so we were able to sit down anywhere and get served. There is a garden section at the back, which would be a great place on a summer day with the open roof.
The food is standard breakfast fare, with a nice variety of items to choose from. We went for the full English and the Turkish breakfast, the children had sausage and scrambled eggs with pancakes as a take away. It was very filling, the items cooked well.
As a local cafe it is a better alternative to the chain cafes, it is easily accessible by car or public transport and is on the high street so there is plenty to do afterwards.

Great place for breakfast or brunch. Came with the family earlier today and loved the selection with warm friendly atmosphere.

The Turkish breakfast was delicious and the service from the amazing Bessima was second to none. All the juices are fresh and bursting with flavour.

Whether it's Coffee garden, or a secret garden this is a hidden gem. Really recommend.

I have visited Coffee Garden after a long time. My experience has always been great. Bobby at Coffee Garden was extremely sweet and kind. He made sure our breakfast had the perfect flavour. The drinks and the desserts were too delicious. The kunafa has the right amount of sweet and it was really tasty. The menemen was really good . It was 10/10!The Mediterranean and American pancake for breakfast or brunch is a perfect meal. The prices are affordable, halal and the spaces are great. You can take amazing pictures with your friends or family. The Coffee Garden team treat you like their own family. This is my favourite breakfast place . Thank you once again for today.

Coffee Gardens is a hidden gem in the heart of Leytonstone. My wife and I recently visited this charming cafe for breakfast and we were completely blown away by the experience.

I ordered the full English breakfast and let me tell you, it was the best I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients, the taste, and the presentation were all top-notch. Every bite was a delight and I savored every moment of my meal.

My wife, who is a vegetarian, opted for the vegetarian breakfast and she was equally impressed. The dish was beautifully prepared and had a perfect balance of flavors. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating these dishes.

I also have to give a special mention to our waiter, who provided excellent customer service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He even recommended some delicious drinks that complimented our meals perfectly.

Overall, our experience at Coffee Gardens was nothing short of amazing. The food, the service, and the ambiance all exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast experience. We will definitely be returning soon.
