Fresh and fast noodles with lots of options

I popped down to my old neck of the woods to check out a new branch of @oodles_chinese it is located in Bakers Arms (on the border of Leyton and Walthamstow) a fully halal fast casual indo Chinese restaurant with value for money prices £6 to £7.50 for different size boxes. Portions are big and you can pick combinations of rice, noodles, chips and more. ⁣

I definitely recommend checking out the Chinese fried wings (I didn't have the schwezwan as previously mentioned) , they were so good. ⁣

You can pick your own toppings or pick a pre selected one. Pictured are the beef noodles, crispy prawns and crispy chicken. ⁣

This is honestly so good! I went with my husband and we both really enjoyed it. The food box was full of flavour and cooked perfectly! I was served by Mohammed and it was 10/10 customer service as well as food! I ordered a large salt and pepper chicken, Malaysian chicken spicy chips and udon noodles it did not disappoint, just so tasty and satisfying! My compliments to the chef 👌 Everything was fresh and delicious, definitely a solid meal. We’ll 100% be going back again soon! 🍜

Best place for noodles lover and if you are craving korean-asian fusion then you will definitely love this place.
For me it’s 10/10 quantity and quality is very high.

Delicious food, friendly service and reasonable prices. My special favourite is the crispy tender chilli chicken, hinted with the perfect aroma of spice and heat.

Food: We usually order the Butter Chicken but this time we went for the Bhuna Gosh and we didn’t regret it! Succulent meat and lovely onion gravy 🤤. As usual, the lamb chops were cooked in amazing spices and the naan was delicious. We also ordered a lassi jug; a must whenever it’s on the menu!
Service: Service differs everytime we go, this time it was a little slow.

So for Eid my mum didn't feel like cooking and wanted to go out somewhere local to Leyton, so I thought why not pop over to @saffronkitchen . It's been about 3 years since I've been. This place is popular and always seems busy. Despite opening at 5pm on Eid we arrived at 5.30 to find it busy. I can see the appeal, good parking, no other options around, decent service and nice venue. The menu as some appeal, with sugar loaded mocktails and desserts being popular items for many. .

The food is my main area of review. The majority of what I ordered was just not very good in my opinion. With it being Eid we went a bit lamb heavy, lamb curry, roast lamb (mine, in bg), lamb shank and meat biryani. The only good thing was the Chaat and the lamb shank (pictured closest) 
I got the roast lamb off the "fusion" menu, for £16 I got poorly cooked slices of roasted lamb covered in a pre made sauce. My brother got the lamb shank, that wasn't too bad from the little taste I had, it was tender and cooked well as it fell of the bone with minimal effort. The curry had a similar base to the sauce of the roast lamb and the Dum Biryani was just awful.

I'm left straching my head to why I just paid nearly £70 for this utter mediocrity, when I could of got much better food elsewhere for less .

If you like this place is the popularity due to the fact that there's no other competition nearby? Because based off what ate the food can't be the attraction. We also wanted to take the food away as we don't like waste but our waitress accidently threw it away..i think she did us a favour. Paid for the meal. Not an invite.

Great place with authentic dishes and a lively environment. Staff are wonderful and service is speedy. Brilliant place for families and good value. There are only a handful of really good proper authentic restaurants like this in London and this is one of them.

It’s extremely popular so booking recommended, sometimes have to queue anyway but only for a short while once they’ve opened and got everyone settled.

Plenty of parking nearby and easy to get to by car, train or bus.

We went for a work dinner, there were 10 of us. My colleague booked a reservation about a week in advance and due to the amount of people we had we were able to reserve a side booth which was quite comfortable and discreet, it was a bit away from the main seating area meaning that it was more private, you couldn't hear much of the noise from the other guests and overall it was a great setting.

We ended up getting a lot of dishes to share and had some food left over, the bill came to £33 per person which for the quality of the food and environment was amazing. I was fully expecting to pay £40-£50 at the end of that night.

Food was quick and delicious, they have a lot of delicious Vegetarian options as well scrumptious Meat options.

We ended up spending about 2 hours there and we're fully satisfied with the food and service.

Would definitely recommend. On of my colleagues even asked whether they could deliver and the food was just that amazing. Definitely will come again.

Really good food. Delicious many flavours. Service is top with the waiters always coming over making sure you’re good and removing used plates and providing napkins and wet wipes.

Last night I headed to Saffron Kitchen in Leyton with my son for a late dinner. We arrived around 9pm, and although the restaurant was busy, there were still a few tables free. I specifically asked to sit near the front, as from experience, sitting towards the back often means leaving with clothes that smell heavily of curry, which isn’t ideal after a night out.

We started with a jug of mango lassi, which is always a reliable favourite here. Sweet, creamy and refreshing, it was just the thing to settle into the evening.

For starters, we chose the smoked lamb ribs and the masala fries. The ribs were excellent, with a decent amount of meat, cooked until tender and packed with flavour. The masala fries were also a highlight, crispy yet juicy and coated with just the right amount of spice. At this point, things were looking promising.

Sadly, the mains didn’t live up to expectations. The butter chicken, once one of my go-to dishes here, felt noticeably different. It lacked the rich, creamy depth it used to have, and the flavour just wasn’t the same. The Dum Ka Gosht carried a pleasant charcoal note but again, it didn’t deliver the same punch as before. On the side, the garlic naan was soft, buttery and very enjoyable, while the pilau rice was fine but fairly ordinary.

Overall, it was a mixed experience. The starters were delicious, but the mains left me disappointed. It feels as though something has changed, perhaps a different chef or a shift in recipes, and the dishes no longer carry the same standard that once made this place a favourite.

Final thoughts: While Saffron Kitchen still has its strengths, particularly with drinks and starters, the mains didn’t hit the mark this time. I left wondering if it was simply an off night or whether the food has permanently changed.

Excellent food, very friendly staff amazing atmosphere top notch if you have never been before you are missing out definitely, a must for a restaurant for Indian cuisine unbelievable chefs

KFC Leyton - Lea Bridge Road

Absolutely disgusting service by Harika. I went to the drive thru an hour before they close when I stopped at the window- she screamed “ONLY WINGS AND CHICKEN” to which I asked oh you only have certain items at this time? I’m assuming they were cleaning up and trying to get out quickly. So my guests didn’t get food as they wanted burgers. When I got to the till she was so rude, not a single thankyou or please. I was shocked to see who they have working and how negatively shes portraying this branch. 7 years I’ve never had this issue at Lea Bridge rd. management your staffs attitude out it’s not a good look for such a big brand.

Drive thru, whoever taking orders firstly, listen properly what customer is asking, almost all staff working they just rushing they don’t listen, secondly, when giving the food, the staff keep
Rushing or they make faces that they are tired, and always something missing in the order. Now I have a habit when I get the order i opened and check, when I do that they get annoyed, so something was again missing.
If not then drink missing then when came back they asked for receipt which normally I pay through Apple Pay and it’s annoying and it seems like customer are liars.
Manager needs to train their staff to stop rushing and not to make customers uncomfortable.

I had a great experience at KFC on Lea Bridge Road today. Khan was incredibly friendly, polite, and provided excellent service from start to finish. He made sure my order was perfect and served everything fresh and hot with a smile. It’s always nice to be treated with such professionalism and kindness. Thank you, Khan, for making my visit so enjoyable — keep up the amazing work! 🍗👏

Food was hot and delicious.
I noticed during my visit last week that a driver came to collect food without a delivery bag, The staff on duty did not give it to him, he said, this is against their rules, because this way there is a chance of the food getting cold. Then that driver gave a thread, he will give bad Google reviews to all the drivers he knows. It was a very bad incident, that day.

I have order 2 time box meal. But one box the only got 1 pc chicken wing.(should have 2 )   And without the tissue and sauce    Amazing it is happens on the kfc
