First time coming down with a friend, the atmosphere when I walked in was relaxed & the 2 people interacted with really friendly & welcoming to us. when asked about best recommendation she was really sweet & helpful. The food was amazing the salt & pepper chips are the best I've had perfection 😋

We also was given a complementary ice-cream sandwich which was amazing & delicious, will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.

Amazing food. Excellent staff who have crafted some awesome flavours. Tried just in passing, this is going to be a regular spot. Good luck to the business.

Newly opened @happyfrydayuk is already great value considering their generous portions cost less than £9 for a lot of tasty food but they have an buy one get one free offer this weekend on these loaded fries.

Quite refreshing to see such a variety of flavours and meats with hand cut fries and unique flavours.

Their loaded fries are definitely worth trying and you're spoilt for choice with so many flavours.

Also you can't miss that ice cream sandwich. Hella good!

Visited Happy Fryday on a Saturday Afternoon- tried several dishes. All were delicious. Highlights were the Tuscan Creamy Chicken Loaded Fries and Beef Satay Loaded Fries. The bubble waffle was also delicious!! Highly recommend.. just a little walk from Manchester Oxford Road!

That’s exactly what I felt when I tried some of the meals at Happy Fryday. The flavours are rich, the dishes are unique, and you genuinely want more after your first visit. And it’s not just about the food (which is truly amazing) — it’s the whole experience. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, and especially the incredibly kind staff, like Nani and Farid, makes the whole experience even better.

Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout (which I’ve tried too), the quality is consistently top-notch. The bright red and yellow colours throughout the space give it such a fun, standout vibe. Even the little things — like the adorable takeaway bags — show how much thought has gone into every detail.

I also appreciate the well-designed menu — big, full of pictures, and what you see is exactly what you get… or better!

The food is fantastic, the experience is lovely, and the location is perfect. I absolutely love it!

Big John’s Manchester

The potato wedges were absolutely amazing—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! The pizza was decent, though it didn’t quite wow me.

Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by the fact that the restaurant’s door wouldn’t close properly, letting in a constant stream of cold air. It made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable, which was a shame because the food had so much potential.

A little fix on the door would make a big difference in creating a cozy and enjoyable dining experience!

Visited 09/02/2025, when arrived greeted and advised that no kebabs and no grilled food available which is the majority of the menu, once ordered chicken burger and fries meal, spicy chicken burger and fries meal, chicken tenders and fries, the food came quickly. I’d say the fries are average and not seasoned and without a drink they can become dry/claggy after eating a few of them. Condiments are available if you ask as is fork if requested. Not a bad place and prices are not too bad for the area and choices available in the vicinity

Chicken Burger is good and Cost effective. Potato wedges is extremely bad. Talks about Customer Service specially the lady who is at reception is required sufficient training how to interact and providing good service. I may think to go for big johns again for burger however customer service experience made me to suppress that thought. Treat this comment in an organic way to overcome the issues highlighted.

Tried the chicken burger expecting a proper spicy dipped one, but it turned out to be a processed patty with just mayo, nothing special at all. Definitely not what I was hoping for. The chips were decent, but overall, I’d say avoid the burger. Plenty of better options elsewhere.

Went to Big John's after hearing big things about it!

I wasn't impressed tbh.

We ordered 2 spicy Chicken burgers, a 6" Asian Spicy Pizza, 4 Chicken grilled tenders and 6 spicy wings.

The food presentation was on point 👍🏼

The spicy burgers weren't as good as expected as the bun was rubbery and too Chewy and overloaded with Mayonnaise, the pizza was okay but bland, wings were too oily and overcooked as the batter had a slight burnt taste although the chicken grilled tenders were excellent!

Prices were reasonable.

The service was excellent by the shop manager but we had to ask for the music volume to be reduced.

Overall the place was kept in a clean state but the food disappointed us as this is the main reason why we went of course.

Give it a try although I certainly won't be going again.

My first time here and food absolutely great 👌🤤. Staff very helpful and kind.  Will definitely come back, but next time, with my husband 😎.

Whilst passing with my daughter thought I would stop for some healthy food. Was served by Nasir and his colleague who explained thier menu options. Very jolly and polite. Lovely salad and yummy falafel, will return soon!

Except falafel, everything else is bad.
As for the staff, they need to invest in more professional people!!
I just asked him why you have more cucumber than tomatoes for the sandwich stuff, he told me in a very rude way this how we do it!!

The staff here is extremely unprofessional, does not know how to take an order. When repeated the order, he said ‘its closing time and we need to hurry up’. Checked the timing, the branch closes by 10pm and we ordered at 8:45

Oodles N’Oodles Restaurant Manchester

Had a great evening at this restaurant, the food was good with a slight issue with the Mongolian beef that was instantly corrected. The steak was well cooked as requested, dumplings were spicy and the noodles were tasty! The dynamite shrimp are always a winner. The service was impeccable, we were served by Sameeha who was kind and made sure all our needs were met. The decor is lovely, this was my third time visiting and I will be returning!

Good location, very spacious interior and decor. Service is decent, lacks the charm and seems out of sync with the branding and decor  as I would have expected a certain nuance of service. The food itself is pretty good, worth visiting, and personally my favourite is the chicken sizzler. We have had their noodles and felt it was pretty creative with flavouring (soy with tamarind)  but perhaps maybe it's missing that speciality one would expect from a restaurant called oodles noodles.  Overall it's worth a visit, go with a relaxed expectation of everything.

It was quite hence we went in but staff was very pushy . Interrupting every 5min for taking order . Before we finish food waitress was taking our plate away. Didn’t let us enjoy the meal at all. One of the worst experiences ever in restaurant. Attitude of waitress was so rude and fake smile ( taunting ) . Furniture was already up ! Is that why I am sitting in restaurant and paying higher price to see chairs on the table around me. Making me feel like I am staff eating for free. My recommendation not to sit there but take away as food was decent. However food was also prepared in rushed that beef was slightly under cooked . Best to avoid this place but if need to eat , may be take away  . Shame on staff and manager in charge.

Great place , with a nice atmosphere to be. We were looking forward to eat some prawns, unfortunately, none of the prawns on the menu were available. They don't have prawns at all, on that day. That was quite disappointing! So, l went for Lamb chops instead, they were so delicious.
Some of the staff seem nice, but we find difficult to communicate with the waiters. One of them, l don't know if she's new there, but kept calling her colleague to come when we asked questions or wanted something. A bit of effort on the staff would be great.

Today we visited Seaworld for the first time. What a lovely experience, such a calm friendly environment.
Staff couldn’t do enough for us, service, food and atmosphere was 10/10.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely place to go and very accommodating. Service was amazing and the food was beautiful. Me and my friend had a seafood boil and it was perfect and worth your money here as you get a lot more than other seafood boil restaurants.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary meal, and we had a great time!! It was very quiet for a Friday night and I was surprised!! I think more people should check this place out. Firstly, the staff was very welcoming and kind, making our celebration extra special by giving us a sparkler on our meal and some sauces on the house. We ordered the spicy 2 person seafood boil, and really enjoyed it. The seafood was very tender and fresh, and the spicy sauce was so flavourful and actually not too spicy at all! Id definitely say the portion is a perfect amount for 2 people who love to eat :P! The amount of seafood you get for now much you pay us really generous i would say!! It includes scallops, mussels, lobster tail, loadsss of crab, eggs and corn. Would definitely come here again!

We went there recently and oh my days it was stunning! The platter sauce was delicious! The right amount of spice and it was full of flavour! It was raining and cold out so the chef gave us complimentary soups whilst we waited for our platter, how nice and thoughtful! The baby potatoes were delightful with garlic butter, and we couldn’t get enough of it all, highly recommend and we shall be definitely be back again!

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The restaurant was lovely and warm and the food and service was excellent. Will be a regular here as long as they keep up the standards.

Another of those gems it's very easy to walk past when there are so many options, but next time, give a hard thought to stopping in.

All the meats are grilled fresh and come with the standard sauces and salads. They don't mess around with the portions either and the pulao is top notch.

They deliver too but always worth taking a trip to the shop every now and then.

AWESOME!! SO GOOD!!

God bless this restaurant. Food made with utter commitment to excellence and quantity. Eating this food made me realise life is worth living. Warmth and joy radiate from the rice. The chicken is sizzling with love and care. Come here to eat and change your life.

absolutely love this restaurant! Not only is it situated in a great location, but the food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is always friendly, making it a perfect spot for any occasion. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality dining without the hefty price tag

Amazing food but a very low standard customer service.
Asked 5 times for the drink that we paid while placed the order but didn’t get it till the end of our meal.
Had to go downstairs and get if by myself.
I would go back for the food but not for the service.
To be noted, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. In total us plus 2 more tables. It would be understandable if the restaurant would be super busy but not when there are just 3 tables with a total of 7 people.
Guy at the counter is great.

Fast and friendly service. Tried most of the items on the menu and all of them are delicious. Especially the lamb qabily palau that is soft and tender which comes with the fluffy rice. Reasonable price. Definitely my go to place if i want something worth the money.

Nice trendy place, very well set up. Slow cooked aged Aberdeen Angus beef. The meat has a lovely smokey taste and melts in your mouth. Service is very rapid as the meat it is pre-cooked so waiting times are minimal. Kids will enjoy the unlimited fizzy drinks.
Will definitely visit again.

Great place with quality tasting food. We loved the pulled brisket and the ribs. The only little downfall was the service wasn’t great. They missed our chips and then gave a drink short. I would definitely visit again.

Wow!!! Never had brisket before and I've seen them on social media and TV, but never thought there would be a halal brisket in Manchester (maybe in London). It was a taste of bliss, the taste was more than what I had imagined. Now for me the showstopper was the succulent, comes off the bone ribs. I've always had cheap ribs which I thought were good but these badboys were out of the well..

My poor pictures quality doesn't do any justice to how good the food was.

Overall the place is good and staffs a professional and well mannered. The place is bit pricey but for the type of food its bound to be pricey. If you know brisket then you know how long the process is, hence the price..
I am definitely visiting this place again and very soon.

Really good food, we had:
- the pitmaster special burger, really good burger, very filling,and has a kick to it, definitely recommend
- the loaded fries with brisket, was nice, the fries were nice and fresh, also the brisket was cooked to perfection, do try this.
- small rib, best rib i have ever had, the meat fell off the bone and was melting in my mouth...amazing.

Only issue was the meals are pricey and the burgers do not come as with chips...but if you want to enjoy a good brisket meal, give this place a shot!!

Finally had the chance to eat at Pitmaster in Manchester. I've always wanted to eat slow cooked smoked beef ribs and brisket. The ribs and the brisket were melt in the mouth, with a nice smokey flavour. The Pitmaster special burger was one of the best burgers I've had, with brisket and good quality meat. The bbq sauce was delicious, though the peppercorn sauce was nice, it tasted like the flour which was used to thicken the sauce hadn't been cooked out. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommended.
