Great option for a quick lunch with a variety of different options - the fillings are not what you’d expect with traditional sushi but they taste great. A big fan of the salmon and chicken options.

Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that they are never open at 10am as the google listing suggests - I’ve been a few times between 10am and 11am to try and get something ahead of lunch and it’s always empty

Edit: they recently changed the opening tiles to 11:00am when they get their delivery - came again this week at 11:15ish and they still weren’t open…

The sushi here is really fresh, tasty and good portions! Not overpriced either. The only downside to this location is that it's in Manchester Arndale, so it's a bit loud with no atmosphere and nowhere to sit - I ate my sushi outside. Still would go back again - really nice sushi!

I always come to these guys, not even hungry but I have to go, the sushi is phenomenal and I always enjoy it, basically tears in my eyes every time I have the sushi because it’s so good, also Blaz at the Arndale stand was amazing and so lovely, the staff are always great and so lovely, makes me wish I was Australian 😝

Best sushi in the uk! I love the Bondi roll, you can’t get it anywhere else! Goes really well with the wasabi mayo which is new 🤤

Lazy Sundae - Manchester Arndale

The venue use to have a shop in the northern quarter and is now based within the Arndale.

The flavours of the ice cream are the main draw. They look amazing, very colour and unusual selection. Definitely don’t let the lesser known flavours put you off trying them. The staff are knowledgeable and more than happy to guide you through picking the right one. If you’re not sure, they might even let you try one! We went for the Korean Banana and sesame seed

Absolutely LOVE this place. I always get the ice cream because so they have so many different and UNIQUE flavours it brings me so much joy, worth every penny. My favourite flavours are mango mochi, lychee berry, and literally so many of the other flavours too. It’s a good easy location sort of right in the centre of arndale and they actually have a fair amount of seating too. Would defo recommend, as well as their other store a couple streets away too. So perfect for the sunny days or just whenever, because it’s just So delicious!!

Tried the Milo Oreo flavour—very tasty and beautifully presented, though it felt a little pricey. Clean and stylish spot, with friendly staff and enough seating. Worth it for the flavour treat, even if it's on the expensive side.

Heavenly.

Located in Manchester Arndale, this is a great spot for bubble tea and let me tell you why! The taro milk latte is so light and refreshing - which makes it the perfect drink. The contrast of the earthy flavour with the taro mixed with chewy and sweet tapioca brown sugar pearls is just, wow. The tapioca is SO satisfying to chew, and it is really good quality tapioca as well. They also sell ice cream - which hopefully I’ll try soon! The staff are really welcoming and nice and the atmosphere is so relaxing, even though it’s in a middle of a shopping mall. They play really nice and chill music (maybe a bit of chillhop), which soothes me. If you find yourself in the middle of Manchester Arndale and find yourself here, give it a try because your mind will be blown.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Outstanding Evening at Grand Pacific

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Grand Pacific in Manchester. From the moment we arrived, the genuine warmth and hospitality made the evening feel really special. A huge thank you to Jake on the bar, who set the tone with exceptional service and a welcoming smile, and to Andrei, our server, whose attentiveness and professionalism truly elevated our visit.

The food was excellent—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and presented with care. Combined with the cosy, festive atmosphere, it created the perfect backdrop for a memorable night out.

Grand Pacific continues to impress on every level. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be returning soon!

If you want to indulge yourself in a little opulence for food, service and atmosphere; then consider booking here.  If you want to brush shoulders with the likes of Winston Churchill, bask in the subdued lighting and feel like a lord and lady straight from Downton Abbey then frequent here for a candle lite evening to drown in classical violins playing popular tunes.  However,  be prepared for smaller portion sizes that allow you to manage the full three course spread.   All this quality though is reflected in the pricing.

The worst birthday experience I’ve ever had. I came here to celebrate my birthday. I was only ten minutes late and even called ahead, yet after arriving and being seated, I still waited another ten minutes. After ordering normally, the food took at least forty minutes to arrive. By the time the dishes finally came, there were only fifteen minutes left before the restaurant closed.

I originally wanted to take some photos in the beautiful seating area, but because the food came so late and we couldn’t finish, we were rushed over to the bar. Then, when they brought out the cake—which had been kept in the fridge—the decorations had been removed, and the writing was smudged and basically gone.

The food itself was also extremely average. The steak was dry and tough.

The most frustrating part was speaking with the manager multiple times. She kept saying “sorry,” but there was clearly no sincerity. He didn’t think the ruined cake was their fault and even said removing the plastic film was done “as a kindness,” but ruined is ruined. In the end, they tried to brush us off by waiving the cost of two drinks.

They completely ruined the birthday dinner I’d been looking forward to. I absolutely do not recommend coming here. It’s extremely loud inside—more like a nightclub than a restaurant.

Went here on a 50% off food offer. Food was excellent as was the service. Both my wife and I had 3 courses and couldn’t fault any of them. I was glad we had ordered a portion of fries to share as the accompaniments were perhaps a bit lacking. Should also have ordered some other veg to improve the veg to meat ratio.
Would I go back, probably not, as what would have been over £75 per person including 2 large glasses of wine and coffee seemed pricey.
I also didn’t like the fact that the discretionary tip was 12.5%, but I let it go as I don’t like to a fuss, but we’re not in America and 10% is more than sufficient.
It is in a beautiful building and it has been well furnished.

Great service, food was faultless and couldn't quite make it through the apple crumble. Love a good Sunday roast this was the best food and quality service we've had for years. Team super attentive checking in, extra drinks, cleaning the table. Building and decor stunning- you really couldn't have done anything better - was the son's 18th Birthday and we were so happy with the quality of food and service you made it really special (no one knew it was his Bday he doesn't like a fuss) but just wow thank you will be back soon- this was our first visit.

I had the opportunity to go CIBO in Manchester, and I spent a pleasant time there between Christmas decoration, very festive, cocktails very warm atmosphere, I can say that CIBO one of the best restaurants I could try in Manchester. I had a carbonara dish that was excellent as well as olive appetisers with a forcaccia bread and their mocktail was delightful

Birthday celebrations, ordered the lobster dish, perfectly cooked with beautiful seasoning and spices. Desserts, matcha cheesecake and passion fruit cheesecake. Nice balance of sweet and sour for the passion fruit. For those that enjoy matcha drinks and cakes, the cheesecake hit the spot after the meal. Bathrooms were clean, cutlery and tables were just as good, and staff were attentive and brilliant at recommending dishes.

We didnt eat here which is unfortunate as if the service and quality of the cocktails were anything to go by we missed out! We had already eaten and asked if we were ok to sample some cocktails at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed it.  The staff are attentive without being too much, professional without being over baring and were all very competent in their roles and the way they went about their tasks was refreshing to watch.  Looking forward to returning there for a meal soon. Lindsey

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, service was impeccable and the food was excellent. My friend (who ordered the penne picanti) said she will think about this pasta dish for the rest of her life. I ordered the ceasar salad and the dressing was top notch. Gorg place for pictures ladies!!

super yummy, all the good was great. The lobster pasta was very flavorful and the deserts - pistachio cheesecake and tiramisu were also rich in flavor. The interior is very beautiful and device was nice and efficient🤩

Visited on a weekend morning and the short wait was reasonable. The place gets quite busy and noisy, but the atmosphere was still alright. Food took a little longer than expected to arrive and service was fairly average. That said, the food was quite decent for the price, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Overall, a solid spot for a casual brunch in the city centre.

One of Manchester best brunches! Ambiance by the arcades was nice and cosy although it gets loud quickly. Service was a bit long at first for the drinks but they were pretty busy to be fair, even though we went at lunch time on a Wednesday. Coffee was excellent and all brunch plates were spot on, very tasty, beautiful visually speaking and generous in portion. Highly recommend it - but best to book a table :)

Its a perfect little cafe. A nice setting with variety of seating, high table and stools normal tables , shared tables, inside and outside( but still inside the center). The food was exceptional ( sweet and savoury). They mixed up my order and were super apologetic, gave 50% off ( i assumed it was off my food but it was the whole bill 🤯 £28 quid saved even after I pointed out they had served what would have been my second choice). The staff were lovely, food came out fast. The coffee and smoothies were also spot on. 10/10 would be back if im ever in Manchester again
Edit. Went back today before we got the train, had the other special blackpudding bennny, it was outrageously good. So much going on but it was even better than the ither one 6 out of 5

The last time we were there, we unfortunately arrived without a reservation, so we couldn't get in. This time we were more prepared and made a reservation.
So we had a table, but even so, the place was full around 10-11 a.m. on a weekday.
The welcome was friendly, as was the service.
We received our food in about 15 minutes, but our drinks came later (which was a little strange), and the water we ordered was never served—although it wasn't charged to us.
The food was very good, and the bread was especially delicious.
As for drinks, the "Mixed Berry" somethie is worth trying.

Pot Kettle Black is the jewel in the brunch crown of Manchester. I had one of their specials and it was frankly the best brunch I've ever had. Service was with style and grace, and despite feeling like I'd waited a while (even though I'd booked a spot) I can't fault the quality of service or the food.
My only gripe would be that it felt a little cold, so bring a scarf but you'd be mad not to eat here.

Hop Vietnamese Market Street

This is my new favourite fast food place, wish I'd tried it sooner. You can use an allergen filter on the order screens, plenty of options for vegan and gluten free. Food is quick, no service charge, deals to suit every budget. Big up the staff who are really friendly and hard working. Dishes are tasty and filling. Everyone should try the pulled mushrooms. Nice drinks too. There is a juke box to use and the decor is fun. Scared to try in London incase it doesn't match up to Manchester!

We visited Hop this evening and had a wonderful experience. We ordered two bowls of Pho — one with caramel chicken and one with shredded chicken — as well as two portions of dumplings. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared.
A special shout-out to our server, Amara. She was incredibly friendly and attentive. She even made a fresh batch of dumplings for us and brought them to our table afterward. Her service truly made our visit exceptional.

Great find near the Arndale Centre, daughter and myself fancied noodles/rice for lunch, busy place, but fast service ordered off the touchscreen, meaning you can easily customise each dish!! Loved being able to add extras etc., really tasty and fresh with a good kick!.. Would deffo call back next time in the area 😎

Was looking for something to eat and i found HOP. Went for caramel chicken banh mi and it was delicious. Chicken meat with tons of flavour, fresh veggies and that sticky sauce…really tasty guys. Friendly staff and great local design. I’d say it’s fairly priced. Can definitely recommend. 😀

What a Gem 💎 of a find after a truly unexpected visit with all the choices that I had around with the Christmas markets being on also. When it comes to food I’m very fussy as the food quality has to be good and the value for what you get and this place did not disappoint me!
Myself and my wife were out Christmas shopping and we did walk around the markets where my wife had something from them and I opted to come here. (I’m just sorry I didn’t get any pictures tbh)
I’ve never been to HOP before and I am glad that I just walked in and tried it out because it was a lovely lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. (Healthy as well which is always a priority of mine and the Christmas markets for me is well it’s not the healthiest of places nor is it the cheapest) as for the portion sizes from what I got from HOP and what my wife got from the markets and she actually paid more than I did, she was gutted that she didn’t come here with me lol.
The restaurant was clean, the staff were pleasant enough and friendly, the service was quick, the order was easy with the self ordering monitors and you just wait for your number. There was plenty of seating and as I said it was clean.
My order was a HOP box and side order with shredded chicken, with new satay lemongrass drizzle, fish Nuoc Cham, spring onion oil, mixed herbs, crispy onion, coriander, peanuts. With crispy chicken sides and chilli sauce. The portion sizes were great and worth the money for what you got.
I will be definitely be going here again and trying out something else. Totally enjoyed my first experience at HOP. Thank you and see you again soon.

Michaels Coffee House

I got an iced mocha and iced pistachio latte, both large but they were super large compared to other generic coffee shops. The girl that served me was friendly but the other baristas seem a bit fed up.

Anyways the drinks were super nice but slightly too sweet for my liking. Would try it again but ask for less sweet next time.

had to sell my girlfriends eyelids for a sandwich but the coffee was tasty (see pictures). the staff were super friendly and pronounced my name perfectly

Would 100% recommend the pistachio iced latte, delicious. They use pistachio crème not a pump which makes such a difference. The croissant on the other hand was SO disappointing, it’s not fresh and tastiest supermarket bought - zero crunch on the layers, soft and squishy all round. Tables outside are lovely and sheltered - great place to sit if it’s not windy.

The best matcha I’ve had so far in Manchester (I chose the pistachio one). The waiters were incredibly sweet and friendly, and the outdoor seating was lovely, though the indoor space is quite small

I absolutely love the coffee and I regularly buy the pistachio latte. The place is a bit too small so you can just sit if you’re lucky. Also the staff could be friendlier. Because the service isn’t great the atmosphere isn’t great either. I believe this definitely can be improved.
