Stopped off for lunch at this family run restaurant after seeing great reviews online and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We had lunch deals with are great value for money and included meat (choice of tawook/shwarma/falafel), rice, salad, and a side (hummus/tabouleh/baba ganouj). Everything was super tasty and very fresh and the owner came out to greet us, which was nice. We got some little baklavas for free as we were paying - super cute. Highly recommended!

Came for a Friday lunch. Great food, big portions and lovely atmosphere. Comfy seats and our waiter Mustafa was also great!

Good food :) Our server was very polite and nice. The service was nice. The lunch deal was such a bargain! We paid less than £20 for two people. It was a lot of food and included a drink. Tasty as well. The place was clean as well :)

A fantastic authentic Lebanese restaurant. We were really impressed with the friendly service and the delicious food. Starters were divine and the meat was so tender and generous portion sizes, too. Option to choose chips (so good!) or vermicelli rice.
The manager is very present and welcoming.
It's also BYOB if you are interested in that. Suitable for couples and larger groups.

Delicious food and incredible value - we got the platter for 4 and this was just the main! Starters and Baklawa all fabulous. BYOB and very reasonable corkage charge (less than £3pp) will come again!

What are you really craving right now? For me it’s a meal from @thesmokedaddies ~ like their “Gr8 Gatsby”... which is definitely GR8... sub roll filled with 10z of Argentinian strip loin... and lots of other good stuff like their homemade sauce 👌🏽
Based in Balham, 100% Halal, no alcohol served. They’ve also refurbished and now have lots of indoor seating too!

Let me start by apologising to all vegans, this place is heaven for meat lovers. My personal favourite was definitely the BBQ ribs, they were soft and tender to the touch. The BBQ sauce elevates this dish to a different level. Not only was the food good, but the catering is amazing. The waiter on duty was extremely kind and polite, and the atmosphere was very nice. I can see myself going here many more times in the future. Ps- if you find yourself waiting for a while, enjoy it, the wait is definitely worth it

Tasty food and good atmosphere, but pricey for what it is

We had a great meal at Smoke Daddies, the food was really good, with both the sandwich and burger full of flavour and clearly made with quality ingredients. That said, the prices felt quite steep for what are essentially casual menu items.

The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, not too loud, which made it easy to chat, and the venue itself has a nice vibe. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, which added to the overall positive experience.

A solid spot for a tasty bite, but be prepared to pay a bit more than expected for classic comfort food.

Some of the best meats I've had in London. Absolutely delicious, soft and flavoursome. The portions are great for the price!

What an absolute amazing experience, loved every minute of my time here. I saw the excellent menu and everything sounded delicious but I had to get the Platter! £65 totally worth it. Highly recommend all to come and great vibes with open kitchen and can see the open pit. 100% satisfaction, Finally always tip the chefs

It was very yummy! It tasted very fresh too! We had the brisket nachos and mac and cheese to share to start and then the steak which was cooked to perfection! The sauces were delicious and lots of lovely flavours! Would definitely recommend this place in Balham! The waitress was super friendly too - thank you and we will be back

Cannot thank Simon and his team enough for the service they gave to my family and I.
From the moment we walked in, till we left.

Everyone was pleasant. I didn’t realise one of the members of staff was on lunch and she still was happy to help me.

Wishing this team the happiest of New Years and hope Nando’s recognise this branch as one of its best!!

Visit this branch once a week as some kind of ritual. Its less for the food and more for the experience. I have been to branches all over the UK and this one always comes out on top. I have to travel a fair bit to get to this branch but their service, food and cleanliness is top notch. Also the only nandos that does not blast blaring music - not everyone is a music lover (note to other branches). The manager is the kindest person I have come across and treats his colleagues with such respect. No wonder the staff are always on top of their game.

Taylor was exceptional! I've never had customer service like it in quite a while. He was always checking up on us, asking how our food was, taking away any plates so we were able to enjoy the rest of our food without scraps on our table.

I’m not sure if this is the right location. I didn’t realize there were so many close to where we were staying. But I’m sure my comments hold true for all.

Last evening, our family of six ventured to Nando's for the first time, and it was an absolute delight. Accompanied by my nephew and niece, the experience was memorable from start to finish.

Upon arrival, the unique ordering system caught our attention - a simple scan of the QR code. Your order is placed, leaving you to eagerly anticipate the arrival of your meal. It's worth noting that you'll need to collect utensils and napkins from the central area, adding a touch of interactive charm to the dining experience.

Once our food arrived, we were all thoroughly impressed. Opting for a meal for two, the portions were generous and the flavors were exquisite. However, the true highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dessert. A decadent chocolate soft cake, served warm and accompanied by velvety ice cream, left us all craving for more.

The service was exemplary - swift, efficient, and delivered with genuine warmth. Each staff member wore a smile, enhancing the overall atmosphere of hospitality.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Nando's for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience with family and friends. Located conveniently close to our Airbnb, I suggest either a leisurely stroll or a short ride on the underground, just a block or two away.

Overall, our experience at Nando's was nothing short of exceptional, and I'm confident it will be the highlight of your group's culinary adventures as well.

The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. But what really made our experience stand out was Martina’s incredible service. She was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s rare to meet someone who goes above and beyond the way she did! other than the food she’s the reason we’ll definitely be coming back.

The service was really good and Tina the waitress was lovely and professional. The food and drinks came quickly with no delay. The food was filling which is a bonus and good portion size.

Best place in Balham to have a coffee or brunch. Great food, excellent coffee and amazing decor. On top of it there is Martina - extremely nice and friendly waitress that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for my Halloween coffee 🧡

It was my first time. Great food, great staff. Martina was fab and attentive. I had a braised lamb shakshouka, the best thing I have ever tried.

Honestly - LOVED Megan’s and really didn’t expect to. Came for the ‘neighbours night’ deal which was three courses for £21, and it SLAPPED. Servings were generous, service was great, and the food was delicious. Plus the restaurant has a lovely vibe. Will definitely be back for brunch some time!

Tagine Restaurant

Zizou Tagine is truly an exceptional restaurant — the food is divine, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. Every dish is bursting with flavour and presented with such care, and the live band added so much joy and energy to the experience.

We recently celebrated our Nikkah here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Ratiba, the amazing manager, went above and beyond to make everything seamless and special, and the whole team made us feel so looked after. With dancing, music, and the most delicious food, it was a celebration we’ll never forget.

Absolutely love this place, excellent customer service and food. I had the fish tagine and it was absolutely delicious, along with the lovely selection of starters and the beautiful fresh bread. Such a beautiful atmosphere and deco too. I also had a lovely pot of fresh mint tea. Highly recommend this place to visit to anyone.

I’m upset to write such a review but I visited Tagine for the first time (after wanting to go for so long!) last night. We invited some friends over to join and was shocked by the service or lack of!

From the start they didn’t seem in a rush to take our order and at this point the restaurant wasn’t even full. After numerous attempts to get the waitress/waiters attention we were finally able to order our starters.

Starters arrived - great food! We went for a selection to share between the 4 of us. Unfortunately the service yet again was poor as they didn’t remove our starters (despite being finished with them for some time) until they came to the table with the main course. It would have been nice to be asked how the starters are as we tried various attempts to get their attention to order some more bread. Until we eventually gave up…

Mains arrived and again they were delicious. No one checked in to see if the food was good or if we needed anything else. This is when I was completely fed up of the service and decided to walk over to the pass and ask for the dessert menu in a bid to get them to clear our empty plates. In this time I was able to go to the loo and back and sit there for a further 10 minutes before they attempted to remove our plates.

We ordered some mint tea to wrap things up and even that took an unimaginable amount of time for some hot water and mint!

Anyway, it’s such a shame and based on our experience I will unfortunately say that I’ll never return. For me service is what makes a restaurant and in this occasion it just wasn’t acceptable. I can imagine if you were a big table of maybe 10 they would show you the attention you deserve but anything less and you run the risk of not being seen to without considerable effort on your side.

This is place is incredible and we had such a good time. I had the lamb tagine with aubergine and my partner had the vegetarian tagine with goats cheese (which she said was delicious). My lamb was falling off the bone and the whole meal was superb. It’s also a BYOB place with no corkage costs. Would absolutely recommend this - service was great and decent price for amazing quality food - still thinking about it now!

I really enjoyed the experience here! The food was amazing, staff were very friendly and the decor and atmosphere made it feel like you were in Morocco. Food was excellent, i had the lamb shank which was very flavourful and the meat would fall off the bone with ease. The bread was very crispy and soft which complimented the meat and tomato sauce. Highly recommend trying this place out
