This halal cart is incredible! The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken and lamb over rice are perfectly cooked, and the sauces are out of this world — especially the green sauce, it’s the best! It adds the perfect kick and freshness to every bite. Great portions, fair prices, and super friendly service. Easily one of the best halal carts around — a must-try!

Even though I order on the phone 20 minutes before arriving, I get there and ask about the food. They say five minutes yet it still takes another 30! 8 times out of 10 they mess up my order and give me the wrong thing. The food is good but service is bad. i’ve went back numerous times to give them a chance, but get disappointed every time. In my opinion, it’s not worth the food if the service is bad.

Best halal food cart around! Anytime I’m on Steinway, I make sure to get their chicken sandwich. Their green sauce is top tier you can’t go without it. Service is quick and employees are great. I am never disappointed. If you’re ever in the area, it’s a must try you won’t regret it!

Absolutely unprofessional. I was told 30 minutes for my order and ended up waiting over an hour and a half—for just two half chicken with rice plates, not a big catering order. Meanwhile, people who came after me were being served first, simply because they spoke Arabic and were being slipped ahead in line by the guy managing orders.

This is unacceptable for any business, especially in the heart of a food hub where customers have endless options. After a 13-hour shift, the last thing I should deal with is blatant favoritism and complete disregard for paying customers.

Never coming back. If you enjoy waiting an hour for food while watching others get special treatment, this is your place.

Went home (30 min drive) to find out they had forgotten the Chicken in my Rice, paid a hefty sum compared to other similar items and you do not even get what you paid for! Will I be compensated for this?

Very disappointed. I paid $21 for a tiny portion — just a few small pieces of chicken over rice — and not even a side dish included. On top of that, the lentil soup was $12 for a small, tiny cup. The prices are extremely high for the low quality and small portions.

I hadn’t ordered from this place in 4 years and decided to give it another chance, but nothing has improved. I highly do NOT recommend this place

I’m honestly surprised by the way the owner is responding to customers. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, you’re insisting that items were included when they clearly were not. The lentil soup normally comes with bread, so there’s no need to act like it was something extra.

A professional business should take responsibility, not talk down to customers. If this is how you handle feedback, it explains why the quality and experience have gone down.

It’s much better to fix the issue and improve the service rather than replying to people in a rude, defensive way. A respectful attitude goes a long way in running a successful restaurant

HORRIBLE! I HAVE BEEN IN NEW YORK MY ENTIRE LIFE AND THIS IS A CRAZY RIP OFF! if you want real and delicious Turkish food, there are so many better places that offer BETTER quantities, BETTER QUALITY, and simply BETTER FOOD! I paid $17 for 5 pieces of tiny shrimp and when we were asking why the price was high, the owner said “Well you don’t know what you’re eating!” Look, as a fellow New Yorker, I try to be as honest as I can for my community. I am sorry but you can get better quality and quantity in many other locations.

Excellent. Excellent. A little pricey but worth it. Very tasty food. Fresh. Juicy. Tender chicken kebab. Great atmosphere. Welcoming and attentive staffs with prompt responses when requested despite how busy the place is.

I can safely say I have finally found good lahmacun in Queens, maybe even the best I’ve had in New York. It’s a super casual place, nothing fancy, but perfect if you’re just looking for a quick and tasty bite. The food definitely hit the spot.

One thing I found a bit surprising was that the waitstaff didn’t speak any Turkish, which you don’t really expect at a Turkish spot.

First time visiting. We were a group of 4. Service was excellent. The food was delicious. From the lentil soup to the mix grill platter with different meats, the hummus and the french fries. They serve you bread as an appetizer which is tasty. They make a homemade lemonade which is very good. I would definitely come back to this place.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for awhile and finally got some takeout tonight. I ordered the chicken shawarma pita, hummus and a side of falafel. Both were delicious and flavorful! Love supporting my local Palestinian businesses 🇵🇸

We always look forward to a meal here. It’s a shame that people try to put down a family run business.  I am here to share the truth, which is that this business is always packed because they are a hidden gem.  Big portions, kind and generous employees, delicious food (and vegetarian friendly 🌱 thank you for the falafel).  There is no question of cleanliness.  There is respect and pride for goodness of humanity here and respect and pride for their customers, too. We wish you only the best.

The service is consistently great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel right at home whether you’re rushing in for a quick lunch or settling down for dinner.

Ordered takeout and the bag they packed the food in completely ripped a few blocks away. Called the store to explain what happened and they basically took no responsibility since the bag was intact when I walked out of the store. Said I’d get a call from the manager and I never did. IMO if you’re offering takeout service you have the responsibility to securely pack the food. This was not acceptable to me.

The chicken shawarma platter with hummus and salad is SO DELICIOUS THAT I DAYDREAM ABOUT IT!!! It is healthy, flavorful, and so, so good. It comes with pickles, pita, and delicious garlic sauce. I’m told that I’m a harsh food critic but this place is a 10/5!!!! Absolutely amazing! Friendly employees, and nice ambiance. They have a sit in area.

Got a grilled chicken sandwich and a falafel sandwich, both were soon good. The ingredients are so fresh and you can feel the love that it is made with. Thanks Hasan!!!

Duzan is one of my favorite places, it’s very affordable and tasty. I always get their pita sandwiches, pictures is their chicken schnitzel. A great mix of chicken and veggies. They also have great juices. I will always return here

First time here at AbuQui, highly recommended! Fresh seafood, fast service, you choose the seafood you want to eat, priced by the half pound and pound. They're clean. Super delicious!

best seafood at affordable prices in the city, no question. feels super authentic and homey. everything is fresh and served fast — no frills but full of flavor. come with a crew so you can try more. great for lunch or lowkey dinner. need to go back to try everything. fried shrimp and scallops were so fantastic. the bread  and dip is fab too.

Stopped by Abuqir for lunch and was seriously impressed! We had grilled octopus, seared scallops, Egyptian rice, grilled whole shrimp, fried calamari, and grilled red snapper. Everything was incredibly fresh, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly.

One thing to know is that the dining experience is a bit different (in a good way). Once your table is ready, the waiter will tell you to head over to the seafood stand to pick out what you want. They’ll then cook it up fresh to order and it shows in the flavor.

Indoor seating is limited and cozy, with a few outdoor tables available when the weather cooperates. It’s casual and no-frills, but if you’re into high-quality seafood without the fuss, this place is a hidden gem.

Highly recommend for seafood lovers looking for something authentic and delicious!

First time here and this place is absolutely amazing - no frills. For a family of 4 we ate swell everything is so flavorful the Greek salad, the bread, baba ghanoush, scallops, calamari, fried anchovies, red snapper. If you love seafood, this place is a must

You better sit outside the vibes were outstanding. Food was exactly like eating seafood in Egypt. Everything was very tasty and the service was great. I highly recommend this place we ordered shrimp fried and butterfly. Both of them were great. We ordered fish rice and salad. Everything was perfectly made.

Good food and friendly service. Not overpriced at all. There are plenty of seats available, and the restroom is clean and well maintained. The menu offers lots of food options, including pre-packed cakes. However, drink choices are limited to regular sugary options. The place is clean, organized, and you don’t have to wait long after placing your order. It’s conveniently open late on a busy street, though finding street parking can be difficult, and it’s mostly paid parking.

Everything we got was so good. I’d recommend literally everything. This place is very clean and all staff members are super nice. Also prices are humble. Give this place a try. I can’t wait to go back.

We were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was! We ordered the mixed platter (lamb and chicken over rice with fries and salad), and it was more than enough for one person looking for a hearty, flavor filled meal. The salad was also a plus, fresh and thoughtfully made, not just a pile of lettuce passed off as a salad. Overall, a 10/10 for the food. Way better than expected, and we’ll definitely be back!

Friendly cashier. We only waited 10 minutes for our food. I like the fried chicken,this place serves fast food but it just seems healthier than other places (but it’s not).
My friend ordered cheese sticks and green salad with fried fish 🧐🙃…….She loved her food!

Don Chingri Restaurant

Atmosphere was nice. Food was mid lacking Thai spices, flavor and aromatic elements which made it bland. Most dishes were just extremely salty, over fried and greasy. I did have good service and thought the prefix price was very fairly priced just the food was okay. We had drunken noodles, wings, vegi spring rolls, and dumpling soups. The fried banana and Thai iced teas were good.

I would recommend. Great service and attention to care. When I came in I was greeted by Alex. As a first timer I did not know the store was not open yet. But they were nice and took my order. Alex was nice and explained the menu with a great spirit. The chef was accommodate my request for my meal. I had a wonderful customer experience as a first timer and will swing by again if I’m ever in the neighborhood.

Now about the food. We’ll seasoned. Fresh and hot. I like the spring roll sauce for dipping pairs well. The drunken noodles I got it spicy and swapped the Chinese broccoli for regular broccoli. I thought I wouldn’t be full but once I started eating I was stuffed! I will stop by again.

The server (Miriam) who seated us was so kind! The atmosphere is very calming in here. The spring rolls were delicious, however the rest of the food was mediocre. The chicken strips were bland. The chicken lollipop’s sauce was amazing. The salmon and the lamb were good but not worth a drive out for. The mocktails were extremely sour so I had to keep asking for a change. The green curry was not my favorite. The rice were bland as well. If you happen to be in the neighborhood then def try them out.

I’m giving this rating mostly for the service, it was good I could give 4 start but the food wasn’t that level. We order Atlantic salmon  , Tiger shrimp, as appetizers fish cake and dumpling soup. Both main courses had over flavor as my opinion and the fish cake seems like didn’t had flavor. I couldn’t taste. I might go back to try different item .

Tl;dr: it’s okay, service is mediocre, menu descriptions incorrect, skimpy on protein. Flavors were good and the place is very clean!

I was the only patron today for lunch at 1 pm. I was greeted promptly by the server, who was a younger woman and was very sweet. I was attracted by the sign outside advertising their $10.95 lunch special (+$ for protein).
The restaurant is nicely decorated and it is clean, even the restrooms and the peak-through of the kitchen on the way to the restrooms.
I was given the dinner menu and drink specials, but it was 1 pm and time for lunch. After requesting the lunch menu it was provided and I ordered Spicy Basil with Shrimp. Described as “Spicy Basil.
Bell peppers, onions, chopped garlic. Thai basil, string beans. chili pepper, in a homemade brown sauce with your choice of protein served with jasmine rice”

With your lunch you also chose from with 2 Spring Rolls or 1 Curry Puff. I went with the spring rolls and they were the highlight of the meal! Yum - well fried, with vermicelli inside that provided a nice bite. 😁

Although i ordered one dish I received another. I was given Spicy Basil Fried Rice with three small shrimp 🙁. Fortunately I was debating between these two dishes and maybe it was a sign that I needed more sustenance. The food was good, not very spicy and was overall balanced. I’d eat it again. My biggest issue is with the meager protein- i was charged $1/shrimp for some small pieces, disappointing.

When I spoke to the server she was very apologetic- she was so sweet. It was an honest mistake - nbd. As a peace offering she gave me a free dessert - fried bananas. They were filled with cinnamon, stuffed in a wrapper, fried and covered in honey. Yum 😋
