I’ve never been a fan of paneer, but N convinced me that if I ever tried a good Chilli Paneer, it would blow my mind. And where would we find authentic Chilli Paneer? A Street Food Restaurant of course.

Food: the first thing we asked for was obviously the Chilli Paneer and it was AMAZING, definitely the best i’ve ever tasted! Followed by Paani Poori (my favourite Indian starter 🤤) and Saag Gosht and Murg Makhni for mains. Both the starters were pleasant and the portion sizes were good. The curries were also decent but we found that they lacked flavour. The sauce of the Murg Makhni was tasty, but it was almost as if the chicken had just been thrown into the sauce and therefore hadn’t fused into the curry 🙄🤔
Service:  The service was neither here nor there. The waiters didn’t really seem to know much about the menu when we asked questions.

Food: Some of the desserts at Elan are actually to die for. We ordered the Rasberry and White Choc Chip Brownie, Millionaire Shortbread, Mix Fruit Tart and Rasberry and Vanilla Mousse. It’s safe to say that the two rasberry desserts were our favourites, especially the Mousse, which had a hard rasberry flavoured shell on the outside and light and fluffy vanilla mousse inside. The fruits on the Tart were fresh and sweet, but we felt like the tough tart case did not compliment the softness of the fruit. The Shortbread was also very firm and hard to break into. The Tea-Mojito wasn’t great guys, although you might enjoy it if you’re a fan of Green Tea. We both loved the Red Velvet Latte! 😍

Food: We can’t fault the breakfast in any way. The Fruit Salad was beautifully refreshing. The French Toast was cinnamon heaven. The Choc Chip Pancakes were light and fluffy. And the Full English Platter was cooked to perfection. No complaints.

Food: N and I always order the Full English Breakfast (with some tweaks) cos who doesn’t love a Full English? We always get the Sausages, Turkey Bacon, Eggs, Sourdough and Beans, and sometimes a cheeky side of Crushed Avocado or Halloumi. Everything is delicious. The Sausages taste so fatty that we can FEEL ourselves putting on the pounds 😂 but booooyy 👅 are they scrumptious! The only thing we hate are tomatoes, but we always order them because they look good in the pictures. 😬😂
Service: You have to order at the till and the food doesn’t take long.

Food: Since there was four of us, we ordered the (you guessed it!) Full Platter. The platter consists of Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, Adana Kebab, Lamb Ribs and Chicken Wings, with a side of Rice and Bulger. Can’t really complain, the meats are always cooked well and the bulger is amazing. The rice also tastes really good when you have it with the meat.
Service: The food is always brought out quickly so there’s never a wait!

Food: Thankfully, the food wasn’t bad (well done babe! 😂) The Banana Tree Spiced Noodles that I asked for was full of flavour and so was the Malaysian Prawn Kari. We also ‘combo’d up’ our mains so we got Indo Salad, Corn Cakes and Indo Crackers with our meals. The Corn Cakes were delicious!

Food: For starters, we asked for the Prito Pusit; basically Fried Squid with Kewpie Mayo. Possibly some of the best Fried Squid we’ve ever had? 🤤 We both also ordered the Spicy Tempura Shrimp and Clams Ramen, which was delicioussss. Our meal was so yummy that we literally weren’t talking to each other the whole time, just eating as if our food was going to run away from us 😂. We can’t wait to come back during the winter months for the beautiful warm broth!
Service: The staff were really welcoming and smiley, they helped create a friendly atmosphere at the restaurant. The ONLY downside is that the food did take quite a while to arrive, we even had to ask about it in case they’d forgotten about our order 🌚

Food: The Dahi Puri at the café tasted different from the Puri at the restaurant… there was more of the filling and it didn’t come with the tamarind sauce (which, in my opinion, is the best part!) 😔Nevertheless, we enjoyed it. The Tikki Stack was very different; we’d never tasted anything like it before but it was good. The Crab Chilli Fry was delightful with the Hankies- their signature roti- but the Tawa Lamb Masala tasted slightly bland. We were disappointed that there was no Butter Chicken dish- or something similar- on the menu.
Service: No complaints about the service except that it took quite a long time for our food to arrive.

Food: I feel really bad saying this because we actually really enjoyed ourselves at Novikov, but the food just didn’t live up to our expectations. The Singapore Noodles and Prawn Fried Rice were bland and flavourless, and the Sweet and Sour Prawns weren’t as good as they are at the Chinese down the road. The Prawn Tempura was okay, quite oily though, but the Baby Squid was probably the best thing we ate that night.
Service: The atmosphere at Novikov is incredible! We really did enjoy every second there and would definitely go back, more for the lovely service rather than the food though, haha. 😬
