I found a rubber band and a staple in my food. Almost swallowed it but pulled it out because I couldn't chew it. This is unacceptable. This is so extremely gross just because this rubber band could have been on the floor or anywhere and now it's in my food.

The quality is the same as previously stated however they have definitely decreased their serving size by quite a bit. The food now sits in a shallow rectangular bowl rather than a larger square bowl. There is definitely a lot less food.

This is my first time eating a Mexican Bowl and I can confirm it is amazing. Looks so much better than what I've seen from Chipotle online. Price is definitely comparable to Chipotle and for this quality of food is superb. I would definitely buy this again!! Every bite you take is coated in the amazing dressing. Absolutely delicious 🤤😋🤩!!

Edit: Now that I have tried a couple more places like Chipotle and Guac Time, I have to say some of these other places do have better flavor. Guac Time has a smaller portion than Moho for a similar price but I definitely prefer the flavors of Guac Time over Moho. You know what they say quality over quantity. To me Guac Time taste the best and what I said earlier about Chipotles portion size was false at least when I went. This sort of puts Chipotle and Moho tied for me and Guac Time on top. I'm not changing my rating though, Moho is special in its own way and is still a solid contender!!

Moho Mexican Grill is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. The quality of the food is simply amazing, with each dish bursting with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The portion sizes are very generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. Despite the impressive quality and quantity, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it great value for money. The atmosphere is outstanding, with a vibrant and welcoming ambiance that enhances the dining experience. The decor and setting perfectly capture the essence of a modern Mexican grill. I highly recommend Moho Mexican Grill for a memorable and delicious dining outing.

Here's what I got this time via delivery*:
✅ birria pie - cheesy, great amount of meat (it's all halal!) + veggies; the accompanying consomme was rich - it perfectly seasoned and took the birria to the next level; it was nearly packed with wedges of lime + red onions; 8 slices were shared among 3 people and there were even 2 slices leftover!
✅ house-made chips - these are restaurant quality, meaning they're fresh and are uniquely seasoned! Whiel it was still tasty, I do wish the salt was added as soon as they come out of the frier bc the salt didn't really stick to the chips :/
✅ cookies (pack of 3) - initially, I was disappointed with these cookies (having ordered them online). I saw they were thin and at first I thought they were a bit skimpy. However - don't be fooled; they are buttery and rich. Just, when I ordered, it was listed as chocolate chip but two other cookies also came - a cocoa cookie + snickerdoodle. Maybe that could be explicit next time?

All in all, I'd visit/order again!

One of the best halal Mexican places in the city! I've tried so many but nothing else compares. The ingredients are so fresh and delicious. Must try!

Moho is my go-to spot whenever I’m in Queens! If you’re into Chipotle-style food, this place is a thousand times better. The nachos? Absolutely amazing. Trust me, do yourself a favor and add chimichurri sauce and chipotle mayo—it takes them to a whole new level. The flavors are bold, the portions are solid, and the prices are super reasonable. If you haven’t tried Moho yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Amazing flavours, 10/10 couldn’t fault a thing. Every dish we ordered tasted amazing and the flavours were authentic and tasty.

The consume itself was so delicious, I could’ve eaten it like soup by itself.

The food was affordable and we spent about $45 between two people and were stuffed at the end of it.

We got a mix of chicken and beef and enjoyed both equally.

This halal Mexican food really lives upto the hype and its reputation.

The food is good but it ain’t that good. Over priced and terrible service. They’re stingy with limes and giving seasoning & the portions (see photos for examples).

The birria trucks are a better taste wise and usually bigger. Plus homeless people are constantly walking in asking for money (at least 2 came in the span of 15 mins).

Taste was fine and cleanliness was fine but the rest of the short comings don’t make it worth it.

We visited a small, cozy shop specializing in halal Mexican food, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. We ordered the beef birria tacos with cheese, the accompanying consomé, and a chicken tostada. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors that left a lasting impression.

The beef birria tacos were especially outstanding-tender, juicy meat perfectly balanced with melted cheese, all wrapped in a crispy, golden tortilla. While the consomé was flavorful and rich, it didn’t quite stand out as much as the tacos and tostada, but still added a nice touch to the meal.

Service was quick and efficient, and although the shop is small, with a mix of standing counters and limited seating, the vibe was warm and inviting. It’s the kind of spot where the focus is clearly on quality food made with care.

Overall, if you’re craving Mexican cuisine and looking for halal options, this place does a fantastic job. It’s a hidden gem that delivers on both taste and atmosphere.

Upon a late night arrival, my siblings and I were uncertain regarding the authenticity of their online fame. We were welcomed with an underwhelming ambiance. The joint was deserted, except for two couples and a lonely customer. Knowing that in New York, the city where nobody sleeps, no gem is ever left without a line.

Regardless of this unexpected scene, we put aside our dignity and dove into this Latino    experience. The cashier, a welcoming presence, suggested their best sellers. Their famous beef birria tacos and sliders. The wait was short enough to be overlooked, but long enough to leave us unimpressed.

Once our number was called upon and our fresh steaming platters presented to us, we were aesthetically pleased. When the time came to activate our tastebuds, they were incinerated. The scorching hot tacos burned through the flavor of the spices, but once they cooled down we realized that these WERE just any birria tacos. The taste was somewhat mediocre for the exorbitant price of 5$ a tacos.

On the other hand, the soft pillowy bread of the sliders invited us into a warm soothing state of mind.

Overall, what stuck to us were the small portions, the average taste and very minimal seating. It’s halal tho!

The tacos were literally so good omg. I have never tasted such yummy birria tacos. The mulita was yummy as well. Im def coming back. (Didnt take pics of the tacos, but did of the mulita)

Dropped by with my wife on a chill Tuesday afternoon — no crowds, no chaos, just tacos. Were they the best tacos in East Village? Maybe not. But were they good? Absolutely. The sauces had a nice kick, and the vibe was super laid-back. Staff was friendly, food came out fast, and we left happy and full. Sometimes that’s all you really need.

Don't even pause or think about looking at other menu items - you have to get the Birria Beef Grilled Cheese. It is absolutely next level. Unlike anything I've had so far - and I've eaten at every taco place on planet Earth. Don't even think of getting anything else - it is that good.

Good service, good halal mexican option. Definately recomend. Empanadas were okay, but everything else was delicious. Clean place and good enviroment.

Delicious Halal Birria Tacos (along with a handful of other items like dumplings and nachos) and great service! Typical wait time for an order is less than 10 minutes. Sometimes it can get a little crowded, but for a small space they have lots of seating. Would highly recommend as this is one of the best restaurants in NYC!
