A good wholesome proper Chai (Karak chai) well run, well branded with a good menu for all and families. One of the original’s and one of the best in London. Also… Great service from Aslam as always 👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏿 **Please keep up the lovely warm friendly family friendly environment (with no music) that way we can hear each other speak.

A lovely little place right opposite the famous Kings Head pub in Tooting. Serving a variation of Pakistani breakfast dishes & assorted street food. Highly recommended.

A Masterclass in Mediocrity

The chai? Surprisingly good - credit where it’s due.

The parathas? Perfectly reheated straight from the freezer aisle. The masala chips? A true masterpiece of sogginess, drenched in enough sauce to make you forget they were once potatoes. The samosa chaat? Let’s just say I had no idea what I was eating.

Why bother with authentic, tasty, or freshly made food when we have Chaiiwala branches to remind us how low our expectations can go? If you’re just after chai, great - skip the food and save yourself the regret.

Wonderful service, warm and very spacious quite good for large gatherings and uni students. Abdullah was quite friendly and welcoming when we went. Definitely recommend if you’re look for a quick tea break or a place to sit down and talk.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Dawat in Tooting! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the food was simply outstanding. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients.
A special shout-out to Nakhal for her exceptional service. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her warm personality and professionalism really elevated our experience and made us feel genuinely valued as guests.

Some photos attached – we couldn’t take any images of the food as we simply couldn’t resist and dived straight in! That alone says everything about how good it was.

We had such a lovely evening and will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended to anyone looking for amazing food and outstanding service in Tooting!

I visited this  place and overall it was a disappointing experience. The atmosphere was just okay—nothing particularly warm or inviting.

The food, unfortunately, was below average. The fish curry had no real flavor or depth, and honestly felt very basic. The only highlight was the dessert, the carrot sweet (gajar halwa), which was actually quite good.

Service was horrible. Our dishes came out at completely different times, and one of our starters only arrived after we had already finished our meals. Even worse, they completely forgot to bring the rice—despite the waiter repeating our order back to us to make sure nothing was missed. Rice is an essential part of the main course, and yet it never came.
Considering the quality of food and service, the prices are quite high. I wouldn’t go back, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nice place, nice food, staff was kind too! Butter chicken and garlic naan were a pleasant experience, especially here in the UK! Pani Puri was indeed a player of the game! Having said that there is defo a room to improve! Chkn tikka biryani was good too, although, even better with butter chicken’s curry. Falooda was spot on! Aslam who served us was also professional and prompt!

Best kebab in London I've had so far! Price is amazing, flavours incredible and staff so friendly! Still thinking about it today and wish I stocked up on more!! Will be back 😊

Dawat in Tooting is a very good place for people who enjoy non-vegetarian food, as they have a wide range of non-veg options and the taste is quite good. However, if you are a vegetarian, you might face a little difficulty due to limited choices on the menu.
I would mainly recommend this restaurant to non-vegetarians. That said, the atmosphere and staff were both nice and welcoming. I personally suggested that they add Dal Makhani to the menu for vegetarians, as I am a vegetarian myself.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Mr Zahid and the other stuff are very friendly. They make the best milkshake in London (that is a genuine statement) and their food is amazing. Especially when they have the buy one get one free deal on.

I traveled all the way from California to try Cheat Meals, and it was totally worth it! The service was fantastic, and the food was incredible—everything from American BBQ to cheat meals burgers, loaded fries, and sweet chili wings. The staff were also awesome. Can’t wait to keep coming back to Cheat Meals!

Can't say for atmosphere because I ordered but I ordered the plant burger and have to say the burger was great. One of those that made me double check what I'd ordered because the burger tasted so meaty and flavoursome so I can only assume the actual meat ones taste great. Whole meal is very like 5 guys. Good sloppy burger with slightly sweet brioche bun. Very generous portion of medium cut crispy fries, soft on the inside. If you're vegan/veggie or just looking to see what a good vegan burger tastes like, try the plant American BBQ. If you're vegan, I recommend swapping the cheese with some chipotle if you love a decent level of spice that doesn't linger 👍

I ordered the classic chicken burger and got one without cheese.

The chicken fillets were cooked to perfection and I would say the burgers are 9/10
It was very good, the bun, the sauce and just overall their burger is very tasty.
(The only problem I had was with the size, I just wish it was a little bigger but the burger was very good!)

The fries were 10/10 they were VERY GENEROUS. They are more generous than other burger shops, honestly.

I would order again for sure.

Came down to spice village after a long long time. (Since I’ve been on a diet) they also had 50% off today which is a bonus.

I ordered an Afghan lamb karahi and a butter chicken.

The service and atmosphere of the restaurant was great! Even though they were so busy.
They had 2 lines, 1 for eat in and 1 for takeaway and each line was flowing well.

When i got to the front a nice young brother took my order and made sure everything was correct and gave me my receipt. I made 3 separate orders and he repeated them all and made sure everything was good. He then told me it will be a half an hour wait, which was great to hear considering their line was out the door.

Alhamdulilah, around 35 minutes later he called out my order numbers and everything came fresh PIPING HOT.

I loved the butter chicken, it is 100/10. I got 7-8 pieces and it was flowing in a nice creamy sauce and when you would bite the chicken it will just melt in your mouth and all the flavours will expand. It was just beautiful.

I will 1000% go again tomorrow while they have that 50% to grab another butter chicken.

Most of  the food we tried was delicious, the lamb chops was a bit on the dry side, the grilled chicken, the meat samosa and puskha was very delicious and would definitely come back to eat those 😋😋😋.

The nihari was okay, but i would not get this again. We also had mango lassi  which tasted good, not too thick or runny.

The toilet was nice and clean, and outside the  bathroom, there was a stand along sink, so you can wash your hands before and after eating.

The lighting was just right, not too bright or soo dim like some places and the deco was very nice.

Would definitely come back again and try different dishes as well as those grilled chicken wings 😋😋

Our server Zainab was fantastic. Our food was fantastic. The Lamb Karahi was falling off the bone with the softest bone marrow. The service was welcoming and lamb biryani was filled with flavour. Mocktails are also excellent. I highly recommend this place for special occasions. Zainab also gave us a free milk cake which was so lovel!

Amazing atmosphere, great food, great service.

We came because my mom saw her her favourite vlogger recommend it. So we literally flew here from Singapore for my PhD graduation ceremony in Oxford and took a d-tour to come to spice village. It was worth it.

We had the chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka, Chapli kabab, butter naan, tandoori parata, and halwa poori. We had sweet lassi and a mocktail.

The halwa poori was amazing. And they do a Sunday breakfast deal that is crazy cheap.

Chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala were good. They have both the creamy and less creamy (desi) version if chicken tikka masala. If you want UK's national dish, go for the creamy version.

Their chapli was decent. Good but not great. Very visually impressive. A but too overdone for our tastes. Crispier rather than softer. But this can be a matter of taste.

We also ordered the sweet lassi. It was too watery; would not recommend. We saw some people order mango lassi at the table across us. The texture of the mango lassi seemed a lot more left. So maybe go for that.

Overall a great place. The prices were affordable. I wold recommend this place!!

Lahori nashta here is one of the best I’ve had. Service was great and I had a lovely time. The dynamite chicken was a real letdown, it came out as basic chicken pops with sauce on top, so I wouldn’t recommend that. Otherwise, a really good spot.

Everything on our menu is Halal and we are HMC certified.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, Sha made me feel genuinely welcomed with a warm smile and attentive service. Sha was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured every detail of the dining experience was perfect.

The food itself was outstanding — beautifully presented, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Each dish was cooked to perfection, clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Timing was excellent, and everything arrived exactly as requested.

What truly set this experience apart was Sha’s exceptional customer service. Friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, Sha went above and beyond to make sure everything was enjoyable. Pretty good burger, can't say it wasn't tasty but as mentioned about other branch, they use too much sauce for my liking. Meat has quality, I like all ingredients, they feel fresh.

Service was quite cold I'd say, maybe it wasn't his day. Also place could use some cleaning, specially in exit area. It's visible.

Love this place - it's now my go to place if I've been working late and don't want to cook.  The burgers are great, and the waffle fries are a must-try; the best around.  Service is always very friendly and helpful.  The eating area is very bright and rather loud, definitely not a place for a romantic evening.

Stumbled into Smacks at 1am after a Christmas party and was shocked at how great it was. Double the price of a McDonalds but a million times better. Had a smackdown meal and burger was really juicy with great sauces / toppings. Also lovely vibes in the place! As I waited for food, the bloke next to me had ordered too much so gave me a ginormous spicy chicken tender. Also phenomenal. Will return again, sober.

the atmosphere and service was great, in particular the birthday surprise. the food was also great, recommend the shahi lamb haleem. the lamb tikka grilled platter, chicken biryani, palak paneer, keema naan and garlic naan were all delicious. service from neel, athar, and the dancer was fantastic!

Been here several times, had mixed results. Highly recommend the dynamite prawns and the Dum Parda Biryani. Chicken tikka masala was flavourful. Best garlic naan I've had in Tooting. The chili chicken and lamb Madras are very spicy. Generally the food scores a 5 for flavour but only giving a 4 because the portions are quite small and in some of the curries there's a whole load of sauce but very little meat. E.g. see the pic of the chicken tikka masala (red). And the lamb is not falling off the bone tender like the Afghan restaurants nearby. The service is not consistent. On our first visit we had the old gentleman with the moustache, he was pleasant and helpful and answered our questions with patience. This evening we had a stressed and impatient young man. Previously we had the young female waitress who has a bad habit of staring and glaring at female customers.

I had high hopes for this venue but was ultimately disappointed. We decided to get the Royal platter which included the chicken biryani, masala chips and three samosas. The protein items on this platter were, masala fish, chicken wings and chops. What we hadn’t realised was that you only got three of each item!
The service was very slow we went to eat at around 5:30pm on a Sunday afternoon, the staff were too busy chatting to each other to actually come take our order. We made several attempts at getting their attention and finally managed to find someone, not our original server. The food when it came was lukewarm, we ordered naan after the mains, it came quickly but was insipid and overly buttered and chewy not fresh. The protein items themselves were tasty and well seasoned if on the cold side , the biryani tasted like it was out of a packet and the chips were soggy and cold. I thought the Samosas would be the vegetarian Punjabi Samosas, but they tasted exactly like the ones from Pooja. We had also ordered tap water, it came in a glass bottle which looked like it had never been washed. There were grease marks all over the outside. We decided at this point that we didn’t have enough protein so ordered two seekh kebabs, these did come quite quickly. However, this was a mistake as we felt the flavour was more Mediterranean rather than Indian cuisine. Not a fan. On our exit out of the restaurant the floor was so greasy someone could easily slip and fall, and they’d have a lawsuit on their hands. Don think I’ll be back but good to try something different.

Lamb Nihari had too much salt.
Lamb Haleem was too thick and too salty.
Lamb chops were hard and chewy. One of the worst I’ve had unfortunately.
And staff was probably just not in a good mood.
Food influencers caused a hype, but it was definitely NOT good quality food. For specific reference, We tried the food on Monday 5th January around 1pm.
Do not recommend this place , over hyped.

Royal Mahal in Tooting has been designed with a clear vision in mind.

The service here immediately stands out. The waiters are smartly dressed in black waistcoats and trousers, crisp white shirts, and neat black bow ties. Our waiter, Mr. Umair, was particularly impressive, polite, attentive, and consistently helpful glass bottles at the table, and the overall attention to detail enhances the atmosphere. As shown in the photographs, the presentation matches the promise.

The food itself was very good. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared, attractively presented, and full of flavour. While the coffee was acceptable, it did not stand out, and the tea, unfortunately, fell short of expectations.Yet dining here is not just about the food.

It is about enjoying the whole setting: the feeling of sitting at an elegant table, drinking from clean and high-quality crockery, using polished cutlery, and being served from attractive utensils. The atmosphere contributes as much as the cuisine to the overall experience.

There is a small area where a prayer mat is available for those who may wish to pray(salah). This is something I have not seen in any of the other restaurants.

From the moment we admired the restaurant from outside to the point we walked in, were welcomed, seated, served, and attended to, everything ran smoothly. Service was quick, timing of the food was just right, and quality remained consistent across the experience.
Considering the welcome, the service, the attentiveness of our waiter, the high standard of table presentation, and the enjoyable meal itself, Royal Mahal Tooting fully deserves a five-star rating.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

I'm not regular to Nandos but went yesterday evening with some Football parents, for our boys to enjoy a meal as they don't get to see each other very often due to their own football paths.

However the service was top tier from all the staff. We arrived for 5:30pm and didnt leave until almost 9pm and not once did we feel rushed to leave the restaurant depsite it becoming busy.

So thanks you to the staff on for making our evening enjoyable. Can't say I've felt comforable to just enjoy the company and food within a restaurant for a good while.

The food was great just as I had remembered, this was my first time back at Nando’s in 5 years or so, the service from the team was above average, amazing, and the food came super quick. My problem is at the end of the meal we asked for takeaway boxes and found them to be sprawling with live ants, it was brought to your attention and new boxes were brought only to find more live ants in these boxes too. I’m sorry this review wasn’t 100% positive but I had to be honest and bring this to someone’s attention. I reiterate everyone working that night was great, I work in the service industry myself and know how hard it can be when problems like this arise, but please be careful especially when takeaways are your predominant source of income.

I visited on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and atmosphere. We were sat quickly and the food came really quickly as well. Special recognition to Armani who was kind, polite and went the extra mile to provide brilliant customer service. I don’t usually visit this Nando’s, but will be coming back regularly as the staff are all so kind!

If you want to have dinner surrounded by some mindless, rude, idiotic workers, come here (Not referring to all, just most)! First of all, to elaborate, I'll be speaking about the food. To be honest, it was fine, but for some reason, I vomited right after. I found a string of hair on my rice, and it had white dust that looked like dandruff. Next, we have the service. No spoons? Check. The manager used some sort of lame excuse, saying, 'Oh, our customers stole the spoons.' I mean, I've heard people say that they ran out, but this? This was on a next level. Furthermore, one worker, I believe it was the manager, accused my brother of stealing a bowl when he literally ordered the ice cream milk IN A BOWL, and we had to show proof. I mean, what an idiot. Imagine accusing a young child, a 10-year-old, of stealing a bowl to get ice cream. Wow. Adding to this, they stated that we didn't order ice cream when the evidence was literally plastered on their faces. And when we went to correct their mistake, they ordered a Coke. A literal CAN OF COKE. The service deserves less than a star, but oh well. Lastly, we have the atmosphere. Hm. They were definitely rude. They were definitely gaslighters. They were definitely lazy. And when we tried to talk to them about the ice cream, one of the workers told us to stop talking, because she was too self-centered to even do her work. So yeah, definitely wouldn't recommend. :) (And by the way, I apologize if this sounds rude to you all, but the truth hurts, and some criticism would DEFINITELY help this Nandos become 5-star worthy (No hate to the boss or whoever runs this Nandos. I just wanted to speak about the employees.))

Nice and cozy place. The best thing I like about this place is the availability of table. I have been to many Nando's in different towns but this one beats the rest in how quick they find you the table. Food is great as always

Nice Asian fusion restaurant with a warm vibrant atmosphere. Great for dates, birthdays or general meet ups.
Nice staff and fast service.

Food was tasty and very good portions. Both platters were a firm favourite. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely happy to return for another evening of fantastic food and flare.

Had an amazing experience at Meicasso Tooting! The food was cooked to perfection and the platters were HUGE - easily enough for 4-6 people. The atmosphere was nice and friendly, and despite being busy, the service was on point. Great prices too! Highly recommend!

The food was not hot. The rice was under cooked. On the plus side, the staff were fantastic,  friendly, couldn't do anymore. At this price point there are better options in tooting.

Pad Thai was 3/5 chicken and chips was 4/5 fresh mojitos 5/5 and also they give complimentary snack with dip. Which is 3/5 overall good experience food is alright. But can’t lie our coats and dress where smelling food as their kitchen is close even though we were seating at corner still smelled food I think it’s because of the platters smoke etc.

Really enjoyed ourselves here. A ‘fussy’ group of people but we all found food and drinks that we enjoyed and the staff were lovely! They celebrate birthdays with a song and even when a dish wasn’t liked it was switched in minutes with no fuss! The sea bass portion could be a tad more generous though.  A gorgeous evening out for us all overall with a different cave look. Thank you all at Meicassa.

First time at Oodles and was not disappointed. Friendly welcome, explained how to order and the food was so so good. Did not wait long at all and great portions that kept me full for the rest of the day. Will definitely be my go to place the next time I'm in the area. Great experience.

Oodles serves tasty noodles with plenty of options. Quick, filling, and a good spot for a casual meal.

Having been to a few Oodles locations I’ll have to say this has to be one of the less enjoyable location. Starting with the positives, the hot and tangy chicken was not too bad it seemed fresh ish and the chips were nice and crispy and fresh also my food was served fairly quick. Unfortunately this was extremely let down by the Malaysian chicken which tasted bland and soggy, it was cold and not fresh at all, the vegetable fried rice was extremely bland and also cold. I don’t expect everything to be prepared fresh everytime but I would atleast expect my food to be fairly fresh or at the very least reheated on the wok. Staff are friendly, maybe I just visited on a bad day but as I’m not from the area this will be my last time.

Hot pipping food, well seasoned and good portion size and price.

Went there with family. There was a hair found in one of the Boxes when we showed to the guy at the till he said there was nothing he could Bcz he was following all hygiene precautions. He said we should throw the food and just mind our business. Very poor customer service and rude staff. Not worth the money at all.

Slider burgers from @meatandshake in tooting. Loads of different beef burger options on the menu. I opted for the 3 Slider burgers. I did find the cheeses very overpowering in one of the burgers, possibly the stanton. Also,  the price is £9.80 that's really expensive considered you don't get any sides and it's tooting, not central London. But the meat in the burgers where great, good flavours. I'd definitely come back again to try the plan Jane classic beef burger.

Visited here on Sunday afternoon, it was relatively quiet with a few other families already seated. We came in and were immediately shown to our table, we had not booked in advance. There were 6 of us and we were given a booth which was comfortable enough for all of us to sit. Menus were already on the table and after a short while we had decided on what we wanted and ordered our meals. Turn around time was actually quicker than I was expecting. They first served the starters we had ordered and then within a few minutes everyone had their meals on the table. Food presentation was excellent, everything looked fresh and smelt delicious.

Without question, the food was delicious. Tasty and flavorful meat, good portion sizes and delivered to the table on wooden boards which added to the authenticity of the place. We ordered two meals from the kids menu, two from the lunch menu and two burgers. Additionally we ordered a sharing starter and a side of battered onion rings. We also ordered churros for dessert.

Total cost for 6 of us to eat to our fill and possibly more was about £64. Just over £10 per head.

There are a couple of reasons I have dropped a star. Firstly, there is a problem with the front door, it doesn't shut properly unless you really push it closed. Because of this, there is always a draft of cold air running through. The staff were always trying to close the door but as delivery drivers and customers came and went, the door would inevitably be left ajar.
Finally, I dropped a star because the churros did not taste as good as they should have. They were quite hard, even on the inside which was a bit of a disappointment after such great food. But we will chalk this to a one off.

Other than that, cannot fault the place. Good staff, good food, good service. Well done!

A lovely little restaurant. The service and staff were great and we were made to feel very welcome, this really makes an impact on dining experience.

and it arrived quickly after ordering. Loved the sweet potato fries and how they were seasoned. Burgers were nice and the shake was fab!

Not a huge place, so nice cosy feel. Loved the sauces on the tables. It’s great that everything on the menu is halal. I would come again.

We had visited this restaurant before and found it mediocre at the time, so decided to give it another go.
Never again, the food was absolutely atrocious. I don’t eat red meat so the only alternative was a chicken dish. I decided not to invest in a burger as I was sure about the flours or quality. I decided on a relatively easy option which I mistakenly thought would be done with some expertise. I settled on a Louisiana Chilli chicken which was supposed to have a special spice rub before barbecuing. When it came this was not barbecued, rather it had been broiled in a bottle sauce with soggy rubbery skin that tasted disgusting. I had also ordered a side of fries that never materialised.
My daughter and art net had the buy one get one half price burger which came with a side of fries and a drink. They chose milkshake for which they had to pay an extra £3 each and a mac n’ cheese side. The milkshakes were so thick you couldn’t suck them up the straw. My daughter sent hers back so that they could actually add some milk to allow the milkshake to be fluid, the texture was awful as the kinder bueno hadn’t been blended enough. She also didn’t enjoy her burger which had no flavor. The best thing about that meal was the fries which were excellent. We had to send the mac n’ cheese back because it was literally like cardboard with cheese grated on top. They did decide not to charge us for the mac n’ cheese, regardless this was a really bad experience.

The place looks nice and decorated to look like an American establishment. We had the wings as a starter, portions were huge! We got the six wings no knowing that wings here are the full sized ones, they were just cooked and I would prefer a strong spice on the wing. The rib was lovely and so was the dirty fries, the steak was decent, a bit on the dry side and was cooked more than I asked. The waitress was nice but the place is pricey more than it deserves

Looked nice from outside so thought I'd give it a try. It's a nicely themed burger place. Menu has lots of options. Opted for their award winning burger (2017) and messy chips with chicken wings for starters.
The food tasted really nice, the wings felt like the sauces had infused into the chicken which makes a change from most other places that have the flavour only at the surface. Messy chips were a nice side with plenty of flavours as toppings.
Burgers were nice... Not sure about the award winning but nothing wrong with them just didn't have me bedazzled. Maybe expectations of 'award winning' caused that. Will try other options from the menu next time.

Exceeded my expectations: I’d recommend their chicken wings and onion rings as starters and the Steakhouse marination option for the steak. And they offer a 10% discount for NHS personnel.

I had the steak and chips afternoon meal deal £8.95 can't beat that They do a chicken steak too.All in all a very pleasant lunch.

Steak and customer service is really good. Only meal Sheikh is not that up to the standard but bit expensive.

Went there for a familys 18th. About 15 of us.
Staff were accommodating and friendly.
Food was ok, have no major complaints.
Service was ok and fairly quick.
It's warm and well laid out inside the restaurant.

However the elephant in the room.
They don't sell alcohol nor are you allowed to bring your own. Doesn't mention this on there website etc and sadly the soft drinks are not very nice. Not the end of the world but would have probably gone somewhere else if we had known.

I was in Tooting by accident and needed to be fed. I walked up and down the highv Street and found nothing special. I found Steakout as I walked past the Asian shops. It was full. A good sign. I got the early bird special. T steak wear small but tastee great. The steak cut chips tasted like card board. I did not finish these. I would have preferred fries or mash but that was not an option as it was a special price. The service was very good. The atmosphere could have been better as there were lots of wide boys there after mosque making lots of noise. On the whole a good experience

I tried out doner caves new naga infusion kebabs, for those who haven’t been here the main concept here is pretty much similar to GDK. 

This thing was like a flipping volcano in my mouth, I did request the kebab to be cooked very well done but some reason it didn’t happen even tho I was the only customer there & staff member said it would be fine. But the garlic sauce here is really nice too can’t fault that. Other downside was there wasn’t much kebab inside there was more tortilla than the actual kebab, I think if they were to cook these with onions too until it’s caramelised it would be miles better as well. I think this cost roughly £5-£7 I can’t remember now. 

Overall: 

Food: 7/10 
Service: 8/10, just ordering for takeaway so not much to comment about that

I know it’s a Donner  kebabs shop but They have flavourful momo’s made by proper Nepalese chef. After long time had proper momo with proper chutney . They have naga flavoured menu for almost all item. So spicy lover you can check in there. Big portion and  freshly made to order. Don’t forget to try naga wings super hot and tasty.  Open till late so night out people can step in unti 2am.

Donor Cave is clean, quick, and serves solid doner. Exactly what you want when you’re in the mood for a good kebab.

So usually rather happy eating here, but today (just now) the server probably couldn’t be bothered frying more chips and scraped up what left and gave me a half filled bag of chips! £12.50 for meal extra meat and only half filled bag of chips! Terrible, real let down!

The best German beef doner kebab in London for £7!  Very affordable price, delicious beef, huge portions, friendly staff and nice country/rock music playlist, brings me back to 2000s.

Considering 99% of so-called "authentic" kebab shops in the UK don't have beef options, this is the perfect place, definitely worth visiting!

A few colleagues of mine and I wanted to try out the joint, after seeing a good review of the place on TikTok. Ordered online (via their website) and had someone to collect. Between the time I made the order and it was collected, I had to make NUMEROUS calls. It was excuse after excuse; one minute it was “our website is down” so I had to give him the order over the phone, EVEN THOUGH THE MONEY WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT. The second time it was “I still don’t know what you ordered”, even though I had already told him over the phone. 3rd time was she my colleague went to collect the items with a screenshot.

When the food arrived, an item was missing (coke - £1.20). and I called them to inform them, also requesting that they refund the missing item. The two options were:

1) They will give me the missing item when I next order (I don’t know when I’m next going to order, if I ever do after this experience).
2) I travel to their restaurant to get the refund in cash (I live over an hour away. Why would I travel all the way there when that costs more than the coke itself?)

I kindly requested for it to be sent back into my bank account and gave the details over and he said he’ll speak to the manager.

I called for an update, and the “manager” was EXTREMELY RUDE AND ABRUPT; raising his voice telling me to take it or leave it. And hung up on me. At first, I thought it was a network issue so I called back. The man was extremely rude again, when I’m requesting for what it rightfully mine as a customer, especially when you didn’t deliver 100% of what I ordered, hung up and blocked my number. For me, it’s more to do with the principle; you didn’t give me my money back and you want me to travel far for money in cash, when I paid on your website with my card details? That’s not right at all.

Overall, the food was very nice, but the service was appalling; the telephone manner of the staff member/manager? HORRIBLE. Do better!

We ordered the fish salt n pepper as a starter, & for mains chicken szechuan noodles & the chicken curry laksha noodles, they were all astronomically very tasty n fresh, the flavours of everything were full of flavour piping fresh n hot…& finally our server (Fatima) she was exceptional, extremely helpful, fast n smily, she’s a stellar human being who understands humans as to what you get these days in eateries! A big salute to Fatima n a big shout out to the 10/10 food, we’ll be back! Highly recommended 👊🏾😋

Amazing food and wonderful taste! The Szechuan fried rice and noodles were bursting with authentic flavors, spicy yet perfectly balanced. Each bite was full of freshness and aroma. Great value for money and fast service too. Recommended

Brilliant experience at Chi Ni. The customer service was great, really friendly.

The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The space was clean and tidy too, which was really nice.

Food was excellent, tasty and affordable!

An excellent place for Indo-Chinese flavours, great service, very well priced for the quality and portion sizes. Tad too spicy for my palate but I’m sure it can be adjusted if asked.
Would highly recommend.

This place is the real deal, no holding back on spices and portion sizes. Seeing Masala Thumbs up on the menu was a treat - just like I had remembered it. I look forward to returning - there were several other things on menu I would have loved to order.
