bad, steer clear. little salad and dressing. chicken was dry. ordered loaded fries, got ordinary. tasted old oil on the potato. thumbs down

Tried to walk into the store today. Blocked from entering due to Male collapsed on the floor and had thrown up. Another member of the public was asking staff to help but was ignored. That member of the public asked if staff would get help or if he needed to call.
Decided to leave as apparently Members of the Public are expected to call 999 to help a collapsed Male in the store. If that is the standards set by staff, no thank you.
Kudos to that member of the public.

Started eating my chicken only to realise it’s got fly eggs/maggots on it. Absolutely disgusting.

I wouldn't bother writing this review if not for the fact that I just had fries made of rotten potatoes. You read that right. The part of the food was rotten.

On this occasion, I will say a word about the hygiene standards. I fail to understand how this place received a rating of 5.

The guy making food left the kitchen and went outside to talk on the phone. He came back and went back to work. Washing hands? Who cares.

We waited for our order for over 25 minutes, and by the time it was complete, the food was partially cold.

The only positive thing about our visit was the girl behind the counter, Lucky, so kudos to her for sharing a smile and being overall friendly.

I will never eat KFC again.

In our KFC Halal restaurants we do not handle any pork ingredients, and all the food and drink items served in these restaurants are approved by the Halal Food Authority. This ensures the very best Halal food standards but does mean that certain menu items and limited time offers may not be available.

Another key consideration for us was that we were able to ensure that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards we employ in the UK, and we consulted leading animal welfare groups about this.

There is no compromise to our welfare standards. We continue to insist that our poultry is stunned before slaughter, using a technique called 'stun-to-stun'. We only buy high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, who are contractually required to meet or exceed all relevant UK and EU legislation and this will not change.

We were super glad to find out this place lived up to hype, especially in a city where good Malaysian food is far and few!

The roti was all flakes no bread, piping hot and the best dish of all. We particularly enjoyed the beef rendang (effortlessly pulled meat) and fried chicken (crispy outside, juicy inside).

Do expect the service to be slower as it’s a one man band—but where Asian food is often fast and furious, it was a nice to appreciate a slower change of pace. (It definitely didn’t hold back on spice either and surprised us too!)

We’d love to come back even just for the roti!

If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. Normah’s by far exceeds expectations when it comes to Malaysian food. It has a small menu (which is always a good sign in my opinion, focus on quality vs quantity) with well known Malaysian dishes I.e. laksa, nasi goreng. We have been twice and have tried the beef rendang, the dhaal, prawn laksa (the prawns are fresh), fried chicken and nasi goreng. All have been 10/10. As a Muslim, I love to see other Muslim/immigrant owned businesses doing so well at bringing bits of their culture and heritage to the UK. Sometimes it is tricky to get a table but if you plan ahead it’s not impossible.

Came on a few occasions with a reservation, each time I came I saw people being rejected due to not having booked. I don't think it's worth coming in case there's space. Booking opens once a month and is fully booked very quickly. On the other hand for those who manage to make a booking, it's just great.

The place is tiny and tables are also quite tiny, located in a very curious Queensway market (follow left to find the place with which the restaurant shares the toilets, not a huge amount of them). For drinks is recommend their lemonade, really nice and refreshing. I tried beef rendang with roti (probably best I've tried in London, both rendang and the incredibly crispy roti), nasi lemak with fried chicken (really nicely crispy, also highly recommended) and mee goreng with King prawn (which came really close to the one I tried and fell in love with in Australia). All the dishes really paired well with the Malaysian salad in starter section. I really cannot fault the cooking, it is incredible. I'd though perhaps suggest to serve more variety of starters (other than salad that works great with mains and fried chicken).

I'll continue coming regularly and setting up alarm for the booking opening date/time. Probably the best Malaysian in London, would strongly recommend. I also found their prices to be quite reasonable. Yet to pay more than £50 for 2. The booking system suggests it's cash only but they're quite happy to get a quick bank transfer as well.

Amazing and most delicious experience at Normah's. Hands down, THE BEST Malaysian food I ever had, not that I'm an expert. But it was delicious, so that all that counts. The portion sizes are generous just like at home. Mine and my friend's eyes couldn't decide what to get everything sounded so good on the menu. We've been wishing and dreaming of tasting Normah's cooking for ages now and we did not get disappointed. The service is extra welcoming and special, thank you. Even though you have to try your best to book and reservations close fast, I definitely recommend trying. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you so much for your cooking and hospitality 🙏🙏

Roti King at Queensway Market  London’s Finest Malaysian, If You Can Secure a Table

Securing a reservation at this hidden gem is essential walk-ins are routinely turned away, and bookings (released monthly) vanish within minutes. Plan ahead and set a reminder; spontaneous visits are rarely rewarded. Tucked inside the eclectic Queensway Market (follow signs to the left; shared restrooms are limited), the dining room is intimate, with compact tables that suit small groups. Despite the modest setting, the food is nothing short of exceptional. Standout dishes include:

Roti with beef rendang arguably the best in London: roti impossibly crisp and flaky, paired with deeply flavorful, slow-cooked rendang.

Nasi lemak with crispy chicken – fragrant coconut rice, sambal, and chicken with shatteringly crisp skin.

Asam pedas seabass – bold, tangy, and perfectly balanced; mind the bones.

The teh tarik is a must frothy, refreshing, and expertly pulled. Cooking is consistently outstanding; every element harmonizes. Prices are fair for central London, though a cash-only policy (with bank transfer accepted on request) slightly complicates things. A minor quibble in an otherwise flawless experience. Verdict: Quite possibly London’s top Malaysian restaurant. Tiny, fiercely popular, and worth every effort to book. I’ll keep setting monthly alarms this is destination dining. Strongly recommended for anyone who loves authentic, soulful Southeast Asian flavors. The improvement it should make is more capacity and more bookings because it feels like buying a concert ticket.

Putera Puteri

Amongst the many Malaysian restaurants popping up all over London, Putera Puteri is one of the few that serve Nasi Kandar, a specialty from Penang that I would consider an underrated dish in the perception of Malaysian cuisine abroad. Although what I ate was filling and very delicious, I do feel their rendition of Nasi Kandar can be improved.

Fortunately, the mixed curry was really good and taste just as it would back home with a slight sweetness and spice. Ultimately, my main issue was with the ratio of rice and protein. The portion of rice is too small for me hence i ended up having to finish the beef 'Daging masak hitam' (which was good and plentiful) without rice. Also, having only one ring of fried squid (which was also delicious) made it feel immaterial. Most importantly, I would have loved for the fried chicken to be something much more associated with Nasi Kandar such as 'ayam goreng mamak' or 'ayam bawang' instead of the normal one I got.

Overall, I paid £28 for 1 Nasi Kandar & 1 Sirap Bandung which at the end of the day was delicious and lasted me an entire day of walking around London. Still, I highly recommend everyone to try Nasi Kandar here or wherever you can find it in London instead of the still delicious but unimaginative Nasi Lemak with Rendang that every Malaysian restaurant here seems to offer.

Malaysians know how to eat. This street food style cafe serves delicious Malaysian staples freshly cooked from the open kitchen. I had the Laksa which was superb, a rich slightly spicy broth with fresh veggies egg and chicken and noodles. Portion was very generous at £13.95 unbeatable. This place is not about the decor and experience its about the delicious food what you expect in SE Asia.

Last month we went there for lunch. It was our first time trying Malaysian food!
It’s a small place, but they offer a good variety of dishes.
I’d love to try other dishes when I have the chance to come back :)

This place is an absolute underrated authentic gem.

Honestly, as soon as I walked in everything about it was perfect. From the lovely welcoming staff to the peaceful & laid back atmosphere and the incredible authentic food. Everything was 10/10.

I ordered the roti with chicken curry to start 11/10
Filled by the Nasi lemak with fried chicken. I asked the staff about trying a little beef rendang and they very kindly added a generous amount to my dish at no extra charge.

On top of this, I had asked the staff about the tradition mini cakes they make and he very kindly gave me and my friend each a selection of 3 different kinds to try. He also gave us some extras to take home.

Such a perfect evening, with delicious authentic food and the loveliest staff. Guaranteed to have a nice experience if you come.

And extra thanks to the lovely guy who welcomed us in and served us. I Will be coming back for sure

We came here because it was close to our hotel and the reviews were good. We did not expect it to be our favourite meal of our trip to London, but it was.

We ordered Filet Mignon, Lamb shank, then the chocolate fondant and the banana fritters for dessert.

The atmosphere was wonderful, one star was deducted due to a child being loud but this is not the fault of the establishment. It did soil the experience slightly.

Everything we ordered was absolutely astounding. The chocolate fondant however was earth-shatteringly good. I couldn’t believe it.

I went for a bday dinner and it was pretty nice, the food was like a 7/10 like the chicken burger was a bit poor but the prawn pasta and lasagne were nice, and pretty large portions for fine dining too! The assamenta drink was nice, I’d get it again but aftertaste is a bit mediciney.
The spring rolls are worth the hype and very nice! But the chutney dip is quite sweet

The service was quite poor and took us about 30mins after being sat to be given menus and another 40 or so minutes for It to come out, the food was warm however so that was nice. The lighting and atmosphere is very nice and everything was very clean.

However if you’re a girlie I will say the bathrooms aren’t very big and nice for photos 😕but the rest of the restaurant is nice so 😆

Overall I did enjoy I would maybe come again at a different time since it was peak Christmas evening time

A hidden gem indeed with a lovely ambience. We were treated with extremely friendly and polite staff especially AMU who assisted with deciding on our choice of meal. We would personally like to thank her too as she also ensured my daughters' birthday experience would always be remembered. Oh yes they also supplied extra heating to keep us cosy. Will definitely return! The beef spring rolls and steak are a must have!

This was out first time here and it was a very enjoyable experience. Our hostess was Amu and she paid attention to all our needs, especially to our 3 children. One child did not like the Mac and Cheese so much, Amu kindly took our request immediately to the manager if we could change this and within 10 minutes, a replacement dish was out for the kids.

Our mocktails were lovely, especially the Assamenta (best Mocktail I genuinely have ever had).

The starters were brilliant (we had the duck and the prawn crostinis). The mains we were a bit divided, firdtly thr negative, I had the Curry Lobster Spaghetti. It sounded great, but for the cost, I was slightly let down. The broth was too much and took away the taste of the lobster. The lobster was also overcooked. The broth also had aubergines and some weird chewy tofu blocks that did not go with the dish. For the cost, I wont order this again or any seafood main...

The positive, the angus ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, flavoursome and the sides and sauce were excellent and what Meet Bros probably do best.

The chocolate fondant dessert was divine.

The decor underground and ambiemce was lovely and as I mentioned, the staff were welcoming and Amu especially was brilliant.

Will definitely return... just nit for the seafood main, I will stick to the meats!

I'm a little confused on how this restaurant has such a high rating. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend, and were so eager to try it we booked it immediately.

I'll start with the starters, we ordered prawns, beef spring rolls and nachos. The prawns were cooked beautifully, the fried bread that was put on top was unfortunately so full of oil it was bordering on disgusting. Beef spring rolls lacked flavour, even with the dipping sauce. Nachos were our favourite, good combination of meat to tortilla ratio and the taste was nice.

The drinks - when I pay £11 for a mocktail, I expect to get more than 3 sips. I understand the extortionate price for an alcoholic drink, not for some syrup and lemonade you put into a tiny glass. Extremely disappointing that I then had to order cola on top of the £22 I paid for 2 drinks.

The mains - the steak was basic, not worth the £45, especially when I can go to Cristina's in Barking and get a full sear on my steak. I really enjoyed the broccolini, but again... £8 for broccoli is a bit steep. We also got marrow, which for some reason was mixed with their house gravy when we didn't ask for that?

All in all, we left disappointed and £200 poorer from an experience that we won't want to see again. I like to be able to see my food when I'm eating, and not having to pay an arm and a leg for lemonade with a bit of syrup. The tables were also dangerously close together, so much so that I made friends lol

Maybe the Instagram kids and tiktok snappers will enjoy this place, but if you want a good meal and quality food - then look elsewhere.

Food- the portion is quite small. The taste was fine - nothing extraordinary. I had to pay £4.80 extra for chilli sauce!!!

Service- inattentive and curt. They include a compulsory service charge of 10%!

Atmosphere- the restaurant was busy and clean.

Food looks amazing but tastes so average not worth the price at all! I've had better stir fry for much cheaper. Personally would not recommend it. Like that its Halal and there is a variety to choose from but just not for my taste.... I was so excited to eat here after getting recommended by my brother did not reach the expectations. They also added the 10% service charge that was not deserved managed to get it refunded.

Lovely little place. Simple but serves up really good food. We opted for the dim sum platters. Kung Pao Prawns, Egg fried rice. Malay chicken curry. Beef noodles. Everything was so yummy that we did two rounds. Yep two rounds. Staff friendly. I think we were also greeted by the owners. Whom we told the food was too good full of flavour. Oh and the fresh juices. So good. Need to come back to try more options.

Unbelievably good food. Not even joking when I say this place is a must. I was blown away with the service and how quick the food was served. We went with 4 children and they loved it. My advise Is to go there for around 6:30pm, its easy to find parking at that time. Enjoy your meal, take your time . Then drive to Chinatown for dessert or another quick bite. Don't go by what I say just try it ! You won't be disappointed.

My friend and I enjoyed our evening meal on Tuesday so much, that I ended up going back for lunch the next two days. The food here is INCREDIBLE and amazing value for money! The service is also top notch, especially Patricia, who is an asset to this restaurant and made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after us so well. She is the true meaning of service with a smile. If you’re nearby and looking for a decent meal then don’t hesitate to come here. I would highly recommend the house special fried rice and sweet & sour chicken! The spring rolls are also a great starter!

Excellent burger (with five guys vibes). Fresh crispy fries. Fast delivery. What else could you want. Recommended

Our second time coming here and the staff have consistently been kind and attentive. Fahad has looked after us both times which makes the experience even better. The burgers are very good as is the rest of the menu.

the shop wasn’t busy at all (assuming because i went quite late) which meant our food came out very quickly. ordered the mango habanero wings which were seasoned perfectly and the chicken was succulent and easy to chew.

Excellent customer service. FAHAD is a very nice well mannered customer service assistant. He resolved a small issue with my order. The burgers are super tasty. Definitely ordering again .

It’s a great burger but nowhere close to healthy!

We went quite late at night and the store was clean, service was quick and there was security making sure no one was too rowdy.

​Having walked past the perpetually busy Nando's in Bayswater countless times, we finally decided to stop in today. Known for its legendary flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken—an Afro-Portuguese inspired favorite born in South Africa—the hype around this place is well-deserved.

​The atmosphere was lively, but the experience was flawless, thanks entirely to the staff. The service was truly exceptional, with the team being incredibly efficient, friendly, and helpful from the moment we walked in.

​The food presentation added to the lively, Afro-Portuguese theme, as all of our dishes were served on colorful plates. We started with the Halloumi Sticks, which were perfectly grilled. We then shared a main spread of succulent chicken thighs, perfectly flame-grilled and coated in the iconic PERi-PERi sauce. The sides complemented the chicken perfectly—the fries were crisp, and the macaroni and cheese was a satisfying comfort.

​Overall, Nando's Bayswater lives up to its busy reputation. The combination of its delicious, unique flavor profile and the genuinely exceptional service ensures we'll be back for more soon.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, made truly exceptional by our server, Blosom. She was always smiling, incredibly kind, energetic, and very attentive. Her professional approach, combined with a genuine willingness to help and offer advice, made us feel very welcome. We honestly haven’t experienced such outstanding service in a long time. Great spot in Bayswater for a peri peri fix! The chicken was cooked with that perfect Nando’s kick. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, which added to the experience. Atmosphere is lively and the location is very convenient.

Only downside was that service got a bit slow when it was busy, and it is quite a small space so there may be a long wait also when my food arrived, it was just warm. It wasn’t that hot adventurous taste. Still, overall a very solid Nando’s would definitely come back!

This place is busy! And you can tell why. Great food. I came for dinner and it took thirty minutes from the time I entered to when I was eating my food. It wasn't piping hot when it came out but it was still great. For sure an amazing staple in London.

Our hostess was very nice ! We are Spanish so she was even trying to speak a little bit of Spanish with us ! The food was nice, i feel like the prices were good considering how expensive is London, overall a good experience! If u want your tummy to be full but you dont want your wallet to be empty i would recommend the butterfly chicken i think it was called, very filling and tasty !

We have 385 restaurants, 72 of which serve only Halal chicken and are signposted both in the restaurant and online. A small proportion of chicken sold in our other restaurants may also be Halal.

Visited this place few weeks back to try this place out for their French Toast however they ran out by the time I went. So just decided to try out few other dishes that caught my eye.

Chicken Katsu Sando which when it arrived looked like dry and over cooked chicken, turned out to be juicy and tender chicken. It was a delicious Sando. For a thick thick thick thigh piece, it was defo cooked to perfection. Enjoy this 🤤

The half scrambled eggs and half mushroom toast was decent. The eggs needed seasoning but if mixed with the mushrooms, it was defo a good tasty breakfast dish

The blueberry pancakes wasn’t to my liking. The pancake itself was nicely cooked and wasn’t the problem. I can’t do fruity with pancakes and French toast. I would’ve enjoyed it with probably a sweet chocolate or just maple syrup. This is probably for those who like fruity dessert lol

All in all defo a spot I have to go back as I wanted their french toast more than anything. I would defo order the chicken Sando

This place has delicious, thoughtful food. The scrambled eggs and creamy mushroom on toast was delightful. Very rich. The presentation was off the charts. Beautiful with these small chopped chives over the scrambled egg.  Their pour over coffee is delicious as well. It was brewed right with a small glass container with ground beans for you to smell prior to enjoying the coffee. They seem to place a lot of emphasis on coffee bean quality as well as they give a card citing the origin of the beans and how they were prepared. Highly recommend to someone looking for a good cup of coffee. My mom got the poached eggs on sourdough with the rocket salad on top. The salad was delicious as were the tomatoes. The cheese was too salty for us but enjoyed with the avocado and sourdough it might be tolerable for other people. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone in the area.

After walking around for 30 minutes trying to find a place for breakfast we stumbled across tab x tab. And so glad we did. The staff are so friendly and happy to serve. The food was great everyone enjoyed it and they had a good selection of vegan options and different milks. My only feedback is it took a long time between coffee and food to arrive. But will be back for sure

Tab X Tab is a charming spot for brunch with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed perfectly cooked eggs benedict, fluffy French toast, and a grilled halloumi dish with poached egg, rocket, tomato, and sourdough. A selection of pastries rounded out the meal, and our gracious waitress handled our lively kids with kindness. The food arrived quickly, the setting was cozy yet lively, and next time I will be back to try the avocado toast. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on a whim and we were not disappointed.  Coffee was really good and the breakfast meals were enjoyed by all.  Loved the golden colors of the eggs.  Will definitely come back here again when in the area

The restaurant itself was cozy and comfortable, though nothing particularly special it seems.
What really stood out was the atmosphere and the staff – incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. It felt very family-like and welcoming, which made the whole experience amazing.
The food was delicious with typical London prices. We went for the “tapas” option – 3 dishes for £25 – and it was such a great way to share and try different flavors. The desserts were also fantastic! Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I’d definitely recommend.

Always such a lovely experience. Second time here for a family meal. The mixed grill is amazing. The starters are always so fresh and spot on: we had kibbeh, arayes, hummus awarma. Our server Yasser was so hospitable and fun with us. He made amazing recommendations. Top tip: Get the bottle of Lebanese house red!!! We got glasses and regretted not going for the bottle as with Yasser’s recommendation. Also leave room for pudding. They gave us a little tray to go. Yummy!!!!! (Also: Wear elasticated bottoms)

Visited this gem of a restaurant for the first time last night. The food was simply delicious, such good vegetarian options, makes a nice change. I saw items never seen before in Lebanese restaurants in the UK. The grilled halloumi was so fresh and tasty, the best! What made it really special was the staff. Both gentleman who served me were friendly and attentive. One of whom served me a dish I hadn’t ordered, but let me have it complimentary with such kindness. Keep up the great work team, this is how you should run a local business!

We had a great experience at Al Waha. The food tasted amazing, and I especially recommend trying their wide range of starters there’s so much variety and everything we tried was full of flavour. The lamb stood out as a favourite for us, and I’d definitely suggest giving it a try. Another good shout out is the hummus, usually I’m not a big fan but this one was amazing I enjoyed it incredibly.

The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and their joyful attitude really added to the atmosphere. It’s always refreshing to see a team that genuinely enjoys what they do.

Overall, I definitely recommend giving this place a shot it’s worth the visit!

Eat Tokyo (Notting Hill Gate)

Everything we tried was tasty. We had Crispy Wagyu roll, prawn tempura, spicy squid legs, and some other dishes I don’t even remember. Everything freshly made, delivered fast. Service accommodating. It’s not a cheap place but it isn’t expensive either. We are planning to return before leaving London.

Popped into Eat Tokyo in Notting Hill Gate for dinner, curious about its Japanese roots. It was a solid meal, worth a try. We ordered Sushi A, udon noodles, Tempura Ebi (shrimp), and some draught beers. The Sushi A was fresh and well-prepared, definitely decent for London. The udon noodles came with a warm, tasty broth, and the Tempura Ebi was crispy and light.

The menu’s massive, packed with options, which is great if you’re into variety, though it can take a minute to sift through. The staff were friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the place had a chill, laid-back vibe that made it easy to relax. The draught beers were cold and paired nicely with the food.

Overall, it was a good spot for a Japanese meal, and the prices felt fair for what we got. I’d swing by again if I’m in Notting Hill and craving sushi or tempura.

As an Eat Tokyo enjoyer, I know exactly what I’m signing up for when I go to their branch.

The staff is polite, the service is quick and the food is always amazing, although overall I prefer the restaurant from Hammersmith.

The only thing I’d recommend is that the restaurant would be heated up a bit more, especially during the cold season. We were there last week and it was so cold I couldn’t take my jacket off.

A bit of a warmer room temperature would positively contribute towards the general experience, besides that everything is good!

Very authentic, tasty and great service. Portions were big and affordable. Less than £56 for everything including multiple alcoholic drinks and hot sake!

Food: N ordered the Tower Burger and I ordered the Dirty Cheeseburger. The chef was very generous with the chicken in both burgers 😍. They weren’t dry at all and the sauces in the burger complimented the chicken excellently. The Mac’n’Cheese Sticks were deep-fried sticks of goodness 👅 and the fries were as good as (if not better) than Mcdonalds! We can’t wait to come back for more!

Now that's what you call a tower burger. Epic chicken burger from @meatgram. Hard to get a good picture, the place is so dark. Had to use a light. 
I think it's the best place to go for a chicken burger. You can taste the different earthy herbs and spices in this crispy chicken burger.

Only the chicken is confirmed as halal.

MEATliquor Restaurant Queensway - Hyde Park

Everything we ordered hit the spot and left everyone happily full. Highlights:  Chilli cheese fries (both the plain version and the fully loaded one) were spot-on: generous portions, perfectly seasoned chilli with a gentle kick, and gloriously stringy melted cheese.
The chilli dog surprised in the best way: instead of a standard frankfurter, it came with a chunky, beautifully spiced beef sausage packed with flavour gone in under two minutes.
The kids’ cheeseburger was declared “very good” by my sister (high praise from a picky eater).
Deep-fried mac & cheese bites were the unexpected star: crispy outside, creamy inside, and utterly addictive. Highly recommend one portion per person would be perfect.
BBQ chicken wings delivered crisp skin and balanced sauce without being overwhelmingly sticky.

Portions are generous, prices feel fair, and every dish was executed with care. A proper family-pleaser.

I made a reservation at this restaurant in advance for our trip to London. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were told there was no booking. The waitress took quite a while to come over, and when she finally did, she barely glanced at the screen instead of properly checking for my name. We were initially given the worst table in the room. When I showed her my confirmation and asked if we could have a better one, she quickly changed it and seated us somewhere more decent. The service overall was disappointing, there was no warmth or friendliness at all. Once seated, no one came to take our drink order, so we had to go and order ourselves. On a positive note, the food was absolutely lovely, though a bit pricey. The hot dog was delicious and actually arrived faster than it took the staff to seat us in the first place! Overall, I’d happily go back to MEATliquor for the food, but not to this particular location because the service really let it down. To top it off, my tray with mayo was taken away before we’d even finished our fries which was not great, since I like having the sauce with them.

Tried the cheeseburger w. hot fries, and it was really great!

Wonderful en colourful place to get something to eat. We just arrived for a small holliday in London. Checked into the room (5:30 PM) and was able to get a reservation for 6:15 PM. When we arrived we were greeted and presented an available table. After ordering it was within a short time that we got to order our food. The burger we got (photo of 'Dead hippy burger') was very tasty and freshly made. We also ordered fries with the burger and those were the perfect amount of crisp and soft from the inside.

The only feedback I can give is that the volume of the music that was played was very loud. We weren't able to talk normally to each other without the occasional 'huh?!' after someone said something.

But overall a good experience.

All of our chicken is Halal. Pork is on the menu and alcohol is served.

A well-known Iranian restaurant, away from the noise. They offer many options and have special menus for vegetarians. It’s recommended to book a table in advance so you don’t have to wait. The prices are a bit high, and the service is decent. Overall, the restaurant is small and the music is quite loud. If you’re staying in the Gloucester area, it’s best to take the train to Bayswater Station, then walk for about 9 minutes to reach the restaurant.

Amazing experience went with family and we loved it. Great food and we loved our persian food experience. The kebabs were soft and succulent and the lamb curry with ladyfingers was outstanding. Great service a must visit for notting hill.

Just been there, fantastic.
Recommended by a friend, I got mirza  ghassemi as starter and koobideh as main, upon suggestion by the very kind staff.
Everything was absolutely delicious, flavour was on spot and the lamb super juicy. Taftoon bread was the best I had so far, so good that I had to order 2! Meal completed with a refreshing faloodeh and nice glass of tea.
Really authentic place, with a lot of personality on both location itself and food.
I’ll be visiting it again for sure.

A wonderful choice for guests from all countries and cultures.

My family has been a client of yours for many years and we love your food but for God’s sake, please change your take-away containers for the stews: you pack them way too full, with the oil on top and cling wrap that melts and sticks. 100% of the time one finally removes the lid, grease flies all over our shirts. The food was amazing specially the lamb shank literally well cooked and mouthwatering the Baghali polo ba morgh was average while the chelo kebabs with saffron rice was on fleek, their jug of yoghurt with herbs is highly recommended

I met some old colleagues at Persian Restaurant, right across from High Street Kensington Tube Station.  We enjoyed the  sesame naan and salad, grilled lamb and chicken and it’s a great place for group gatherings – though it’s pricier than places in Bayswater.

I recently visited this Iranian restaurant on Kensington High Street South, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing — full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit.
A special mention goes to the manager, Hamid, who was exceptionally kind and welcoming. He made sure everything was perfect and that we had a great dining experience.
Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had an amazing experience at Uzbek Corner in London! The hospitality was absolutely outstanding – we felt so warmly welcomed from the moment we walked in. The only small challenge was finding the place at first, but we were determined, and it was absolutely worth it!
The food was incredible. Truly authentic Uzbek cuisine that blew our minds – every dish was incredibly delicious, full of rich flavors and prepared with great care. It felt like a warm, heartfelt, and genuine dining experience in every way.
Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a soulful atmosphere. We’re definitely coming back!

Amazing hole-in-the wall gem with wonderful staff—they treat you like family. Very kindly accomodated our group of two families, made excellent menu suggestions, and provided lots of commentary on the foods, as it was all of our first time enjoying Uzbek cuisine. Such an unassuming place when you walk in, but we were kindly greeted and given a table. This was our first introduction to Uzbek cuisine and it was absolutely incredible. Exactly what I love about food, simple, pure ingredients, freshly prepared.

After an awful 11 hour travel day this place felt like a welcome home. Whenever I will be in London again, save a table for me!

Mawi Cafe

My sister and I went here twice during our 5 day trip to London. The banana bread and lemon bread are UNBELIEVABLE, as well as the Chai latte. This cafe is a great place to sit and read or take your coffee to go and stroll through Kensington Park which is right across the street. We loved this place!!!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The iced coffee was fine, but the lox bagel felt a bit too simple for the price. Maybe I’m just used to NY–style bagels, but for me it seemed a little overpriced. 11.94💷

I love this cafe so much. I come here very often. It’s such a chill and cozy cafe. I usually get a coffee and a sweet treat, but trying out their Caesar sandwich revolutionised my world hahaha. I can’t recommend this place enough, wifi is also free

This cafe is a haven! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm aroma of fresh-baked goods and the inviting hum of conversation. The music creates a perfect ambiance for relaxing, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done.

They offer a surprisingly wide selection of food for a cafe, and the quality is top-notch. I had the toasted bagel with eggs and avocado, and it was delicious. The omelette was perfectly cooked, and the crispy bagel added a great textural contrast. My flat white was excellent – you could really taste the coffee (no burnt beans here!).

My partner, who has a sweet tooth, loved the blueberry bread but with salted butter (got it at home).

Beyond the delicious food and drinks, the staff truly shines. They're friendly and welcoming, and it seems they know many regulars by name and their preferences. It creates a warm and familiar atmosphere.

I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this cafe!

Preto Queensway - Brazilian Steakhouse BBQ

Preto Queensway is such a great find! The location is really convenient, and the prices are surprisingly good for what you get. The whole dining concept makes it a fun and different experience compared to a normal restaurant — it’s basically an endless buffet of freshly cooked meats, brought straight to your table until you say you’ve had enough. It makes the meal feel lively and interactive, and you definitely get good value for money.

The food itself was lovely — tasty, well-prepared, and there’s plenty of variety so you don’t get bored. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm and full of good vibes, which made it even more enjoyable. The staff were great too: really friendly, attentive, and happy to explain how everything works if it’s your first time.

Practical stuff is covered as well — there are toilets on site and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, which makes it welcoming for everyone. All in all, it’s the kind of place you leave feeling full, happy, and already planning your next visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Salad bar was extensive and had plenty of options… the salad bar items were also fresh and tasty… I was little disappointed by the taste of the meats as little overdone and I was not getting the juicy beef flavours or succulence that I had tasted in other Brazilian bbq restaurants.  The all you can eat bbq with tap water came to £37 (inc service charge)

A throughly enjoyable time here with friendly, professional staff and prompt, cheerful service. The unlimited buffet with freshly grilled meats was the meal of choice on this visit and what an experience!

The restaurant itself is bright and colourful and the authentic music was played at a suitable level to contribute to the lively vibe. The staff approached us with a smile on entry and we were seated according to our choice. We were visiting on an off-peak time though and based on the conversation with the manager it is far busier during lunch hours so seating may not be as available. The lunchtime deals apparently very popular. If is anything like the evening meal we had I can see why!

The open buffet of hot and cold food has all the usual dishes from red bean soup to salads and coleslaw. There was lasagne as well as various styles of rice. You could create several meals and fill yourself without even having any of the freshly cooked cuts of meat brought to your table.

And boy did they bring them to the table! If you are familiar with the way these Rodizio meals are set up you will know to keep your card handy! Let me assure that if you leave it on green initiating establishment you will be brought the freshly grilled meats in an instant. The intervals between being offered the tasty morsels was literally just right! The staff were happy to introduce eat offering and they are appropriately described on the website so I won’t go into it here.

All of this marvellous food was washed down with some wonderful freshly blended juice drinks which were wonderfully refreshing. We had the still lemonade and the pineapple and both were perfect to accompany the succulent skewered selection.

I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Mostly chewy and not well meat was served at the beginning. It took 5-6 interactions for 1-2 more or less tolerable meat to be served.
Side dishes and salads are just ok.
For the money they charge per head they can easily do much better quality meat. For 165£ for four people we could have gone to proper place with nice food.

I loved dining at Banana tree today. Me and my two other friends came for a get together and the service was amazing. Renuka was very accommodating and had such a friendly approach with us going above and beyond to make sure our experience was nice. The food was amazing. I ordered the spiced noodles and they were perfectly seasoned. We also got the dumplings, chicken wings and satay sticks and they were all tasty. The portion size was a nice generous amount. We also got the banana sticky rice which was also such a nice dessert.  Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice place for a meet up with good food.

Banana Tree has become my regular choice for lunch, and for good reason. The portions are always generous – more than enough to leave me satisfied, with leftovers quite often. My personal favourite is the Firecracker Bowl – it hits the perfect balance of spice and flavour, and the textures are always spot on. The rice, chicken, and veggies are consistently cooked well, and the dish feels both hearty and fresh.

I’ve tried a few other dishes from their menu as well, and they’ve all been reliably tasty – nothing ever feels rushed or bland. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better, especially when you’re popping in on a busy day.

Highly recommend if you’re after a filling, flavourful, and dependable meal.

Went to banana tree with my nieces for casual dine at Westbourne grove branch, the food is always nice as usual and the service has always been top notch for me as i have visited few times. Mr Ronnie Rohit Hubbert was especially attentive and friendly also gave us their new soy sauce ice cream on the house as i was disappointed tht they have stopped doing my favourite desert the black rice pudding. Anyhow i still like visiting their for their food and 2for1 mocktail.

Really enjoyed my time dining in here. The service was super quick and staff were very friendly and helpful with going over the menu with me. They have lots of vegan options that were very tasty. Cocktails were very good as well. Make sure to go during their happy hour to try more drinks. The fried banana dessert was very good as well. Overall, light and refreshing cusine. Would recommend and visit again for sure.

Best laksa I have ever had.. the flavours were so nice.. and I’ve had a lot of laksa’s over my time.

It was my first time having Malaysian food. It was absolutely amazing, the flavours were really powerful and I especially loved the salted egg chicken. The service was really good: friendly and knowledgeable staff, I also loved the milo iced drink and condensed milk iced tea. Would definitely go again and try other options on the menu.

Quiet Gem in London!
The food was delicious, and the service from all the lovely staff (Syaza, Izzat and Maz) was outstanding! So thoughtful and nice and everything done with a smile. May Allah reward them for their effort!

Really great neighborhood restaurant if you’re craving authentic Malaysian food. All the dishes we ordered were solid and we can’t wait to come back to try more dishes. Really liked the noodle dish as well as the peanut sauce with vegetables and fried tofu. Only thing that could’ve been better would be the roti canai and was a bit on the pricier side (came out to £82 for the two of us) but otherwise a great dining experience!

Such a gem! The food is sooo tasty, the restaurant is authentic and atmosphere is chill. You can share dish no 31 between two people as well as homemade bread which they make in front of you!! and hummus.

Been to this place a few times now, and never disappointed. The dishes were authentic, delicious, and came in big portions. Very good value for the price for sure. Absolutely loved their oxtails soup, and their weekend special - Nasi Ayam was really nice as well. Will definitely come back for more soon.
