Tried the Kathi rolls here and they were excellent - the paratha was soft yet slightly crisp on the edges holding together without getting soggy. The filling was generous, packed with flavour, and had the right mix of spice and freshness. The chicken tikka roll which I had was smoky and well-marinated, while the vegetarian option (Aubergine potato curry) had a nice flavour and heat

Pali Kitchen is a quick takeaway-style restaurant with very decent flavors. My rice bowl was fresh and well-prepared, but I found the seasoning a little mild possibly because I skipped the sauces to avoid adding extra calories. Without them, the flavors felt like they were tailored to a more subtle, English-friendly palate.

That said, I’m open to giving this place another try, this time with their sauces, to see if they elevate the overall flavor profile. For now, it’s a solid three stars, but I’ll happily revisit and update my review if my next experience packs more punch.

The Butter Chicken Rice Bowl from Pali Kitchen is an absolute winner!  The butter chicken itself is incredibly flavorful, with that perfect balance of creamy richness and a hint of tang, and the chicken pieces are tender and juicy. Paired with the perfectly cooked rice, it creates a comforting and utterly delicious combination.
What truly sets this bowl apart, besides the fantastic taste, is the generous portion size. You definitely get your money's worth, making it a satisfying and fulfilling meal. It's clear that Pali Kitchen doesn't skimp on quality or quantity.

Delicious food and generous portions!! A great option for lunch if you work in the area. The butter chicken bowl is my favourite, but go early because they can run out!! I've told my coworkers about this place and they all love it as well! There is usually a long line, but it goes super quick.

Food taste is decent however question is the quantity. They have this rice bowl option. They just fill a quarter with rice & curry and another quarter is with salads. In summary, the bowl is only half filled for £9.95. Once I said, it is only half filled and their response was that any extra would cost you £3.95.
In summary, the quantity of food they offer is never enough for me. My 5 year old child eats more than what they offer as standard.
I will never visit there again.

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger - St Paul's

One of my last few lunches in London, and thought I would visit Gordon Ramsay's burger chain to give it a try.

Made a reservation for 1 at 11.30am when they opened, and came to an empty shop within the quiet mall.

Ordered the chicken breast with avocado, as I don't take beef, and it was served within 10 minutes.

Fries were great, while it did look like there's a lot of spice and would be a little too salty, i find it manageable though i did take a few gulps along the way.

The burger however, was nothing to shout about. While a chicken breast is understandably hard to impress, I did expect it to at least be unique, but it was very much like something i could prepare at home with a good quality chicken breast.. That said, there was nothing to complain about as it wasn't bad at all.

Overall a decent meal, but not one i would return for, at least for the chicken breast burger.

Food was really good (next level burger has been the best burger I’ve had this far), drinks are very well priced, you get more than a fair amount for the price you pay and isn’t overpriced like a lot of restaurants in London.
Food was warm, served immediately. Fries are still warm after eating the burger, really nicely seasoned as well.
Staff was really nice and welcoming. Came by often to check on us.

Friendly, fast, and delicious. The staff have always been absolutely delightful and incredibly helpful. The food is fast but without question tasty. I personally love the next level smash burger with sidewinder fries. They also had ice cream with an editable cup which was a fantastic surprise.

A brilliant date night where we are looked after with a smile and we know we will love the food. An awesome location and even better service.

The best on this place is the staff. The Manager is an absolute professional. I was there The first time some 3 months ago and the gentleman still remembered where I sit and what I ate. The sweet fries are the best, but all in all you get what you expect.

Our halal options include the JFC chicken burger, our Not So Simple vegan burger as well as our vegetarian Butternut Bhaji burger.

After spending several hours exploring the Tower of London, we worked up an appetite. Alot of options nearby, but we found ourselves here. Right out the gate I was impressed. Great service, very good prices, and amazing Indian food.

Very nice server. Caught them just before close but still was pleasant and made the food very fast. The bowl and quesadilla were so good! I had a Freddie and I loved the spice level! This food was EXCELLENT! I have few experiences with Indian food and maybe I've been missing out, but this is by far my best! They fill burritos with Indian food and it makes it so tasty and accessible :D got the Chicken Masala Burrito which was really good, a little spicy but I like a little spicy. The person at the counter was very helpful and helped me figure out what to order. On top of that, it was one of the most affordable lunches within a mile walk, about £10/person. Would go again if I lived here :)

The waiter guy was not polite, looked like we bothered him. Ordered the same food, pasta with pesto, one portion was okay and the second one was full of oil, at first it was not showing because of cheese at the top, but underneath there were plenty of oil, my pasta were drowning in the oil. Waiter said it was normal, but how is it normal if the other portion of the same food we got at the same time wasn’t oily at all. Also they are not offering any hot drinks. Overall my experience was not good, the place is not so nice, would not recommend going there.

I attended a Pizza Express party with my primary school when I was around 6 years old.  It was so memorable and fun, that I knew I would have to organise one for my daughter’s birthday when she was old enough.

We had a kids pizza party in Tower Hill branch as our local branches in central London were booked. I am so glad we chose Tower Hill as the whole event was perfect, from booking online to the event. The space was accessible, spacious and we were able to store our pushchairs and have enough space to enjoy ourselves without feeling like we would be bothering other guests.

From start to finish, Giuseppe and his team ensured we had everything we needed and adapted it to suit the age range of the children. The adults had so much fun too! Every food item was delicious for the kids and adults. They all had so much fun and enjoyed we had enough time and space to The chefs were so kind too and talked to us about dietary options and the menu options.

The day went seamlessly and Giuseppe was always on hand ensuring that everything was sent on time and the adults had time to also enjoy themselves too. I didn’t have to ask him once or look for any staff. The pizza party menu was excellent value for money and the activities kept the children entertained the whole time. I am so glad I was able to take off time for organising a party myself.

No, seriously, I went to PE, in Tower Bridge. My first visit in a while. The chef rolled the pizza so flat, I felt like I hadn't eaten anything. But it was still tasty though

We had a wonderful dinner at PizzaExpress. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. The pizzas were perfectly baked and the ingredients tasted high quality. PizzaExpress has used halal-slaughtered chicken for several years, but we have never been able to offer a finished dish that was Halal-certified, due to the presence of pork and other non-halal meats in our restaurants and as our kitchens do not operate halal procedures.

Whilst our previous suppliers provided halal slaughtered chicken, it was never our policy for that to be our only option. Since the launch of our Autumn Menu on the 21st September our chicken now comes from accredited suppliers that use both non-halal and halal slaughter methods, because we have recently increased our sourcing options on chicken to ensure continuity of supply during the current challenges within all supply chains.

Where halal slaughter is used, the animals are stunned before slaughter. All our meat suppliers are approved by the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards, a globally renowned safety standard and, all comply with EU or local animal welfare regulations.

This place is a gold mine, the salad are amazing and the portions are big.

This is my new go to spot and what great value for money.

Have been here quite a few times for lunch and have not been disappointed.

Like it says in the name, the food is simple, healthy and actually tasty too, with a variety of options
(as long as you don't get there too late, as options do seem to sell out quickly).

Majority of the staff are very friendly and welcoming too.

Definitely a great clean alternative to stodgy lunches that wipe out your energy for the rest of the day.

Overall a very nice place for lunch. Great salad selection, and big portions if you go for the large box. I would of given them 5 stars but the chicken was very fatty. The spicy mayo is VERY spicy!

Cold chicken and undercooked brocolies. Service is fast and queue even on Friday is short. But extremely disappointing food. Ordered pesto chicken, but it was not able to taste any pesto at all. It had only a bit of green herbs on it. No trace of nuts :(

All veggies on the side were super raw. Had to bin brocolies and beatroot and microwave chicken back in the office.

At checkout they pack order, but don't put catlery in the bag.

The layout of the menu is all the rage right now in the city lunchtime market - choice of protein and x amount of sides. Having only been once I do not know whether there is a rotating menu. I did visit after lunch and found the food to be quite fresh, meaning that they probably restock often.

All Meat is Halal, Measures are taken to avoid Cross contamination with Pork. Locally sourced ingredients.

Nice Pizza Express with a surprising amount of space downstairs. Good service for our table of 9 on a Saturday lunch time. Generous Blue Light discount of 20% off all food.

Great pizza and an amazing beautiful place to have a quick bite. There are several options to choose.
There are also sits in the basement so keep that in mind of you see that the place is full from the outside. I do not know if you need a reservation to sit in the basement.
The toilets do need an upgrade. Also there is no trash bin in the toilets to throw a paper after you wash your hands.

Padana is our favourite vegetarian choice. The staff is really friendly and this seems to be the best pizza express experience in london so far. Christmas office - 2 for 12 £. Location is middle of this beautiful market .

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Pizza Express Leadenhall Market. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting—nestled perfectly among the historic charm of the market’s architecture.

I started with the Dough Balls PizzaExpress, paired with their freshly made garlic butter. And let me tell you: this garlic butter is next-level. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor—it sets the gold standard. I’ve had garlic butter before, but this one rewrites the rules. I could eat those Dough Balls every day and still crave more.

My wife went classic with the Margherita pizza, and it was spot-on. Fresh ingredients, a perfectly crisp base, and just the right balance of tomato and mozzarella. Simple, elegant, and delicious—she loved every bite.

Fenchurch Restaurant

I visited with my girlfriends, and at first I was a bit confused by the menu. But everything was excellent. I recommend the tartare and the cod with orzo. I was pleased with the simple bread and butter, it's always a good idea. The cocktails are very mediocre, it's better to choose wine. But the place itself is worth visiting; I had a view of west London and the real St Paul's Cathedral.

Love that Saturday brunch.

We were made to feel welcome from start to finish.  The staff were warm and friendly.  The service impeccable.  Kerth’s tasting food menu was deliciously tantalising with your taste buds.   Definitely will be back and hopefully try the plated menu.  Well done to the staffing team you are a credit to Sky Gardens.

Food was excellent. Refined but spiced and generous. The Crab Rigatoni was incredible, it got better and better as I ate it. Venison was gorgeous if maybe a touch too sweet for me. Desserts were not on par, but I recommend the soufflé. In the website, it says that all tables have a great view; that is not true. However it felt very peaceful and enjoyable regardless, as there aren’t many tables. A wonderful moment!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Fenchurch Restaurant. The views, the food, the service everything was perfect. We celebrated my mother’s Birthday and our wonderful server Valentina even wrote her a little note which was such a lovely gesture! In general Valentina made our stay extra special and was very attentive and kind. The food was out of this world! Especially the veil chop made us gasp! It’s definitely not an everyday thing to do but makes every special occasion extra special. Thanks again to the whole team!

Yen burger is known for it’s asian twist on classic burgers, and boy are the burgers good! Instead of your average burger buns, Yen Burger uses Japanese Bao Buns. It was so difficult to choose off the menu as everything sounded great, but we finally ordered the Yen Burger and the Surf n Turf. The latter was the tastier of the two, but both were delicious! 100% wagyu beef patties are used which means the burger is juicy, and the delicious seasoning pulls it all together 🤤 The Chicken Gyozas were crunchy and we couldn’t get enough of the Dashi Chips! All in all, a definite recommendation!

Checked out the Wagyu Burger @yenburger. It's not often I have a burger which goes into my top list without much consideration. I tried the Yen Special which promises 100% Wagyu beef though at £12 I am suspicious. I am assured by the owners that it's 100% Chilean wagyu and their margins are thin. Believe it or not, doesn't matter. It's a top quality burger and look how nicely they cooked it. They usually have a white bun which is supposed to be much better but temporarily using this Brioche.

This was a stunning burger and easily easily the Top 5 in the UK for me. They are in the congestion charge zone but you can squeeze a visit between 10 and 11.

Taste: 9.8, Quality: 9.5, Value: 8.9

Food was AMAZING. atleast for me, I highly recommend the spicy chicken wings. Lemonade was wonderful too. Not great service, took awhile for the food to come, and they didnt really serve us. The atmosphere was wonderful though. it was like we were actually in asia. great restaurant!

The Wagyu burger was rich and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Yen Burger has maintained its standards for nearly 10 years now.

Loved the ambience, great location, overpriced food, tastes good. Recommended. Located not far from the London Bridge train station.

In an area of generally excellent food options, this was a bit of a shock. Had a drink, burger and chips. Burger was extremely (inedibly) poor quality and garnishes/sauces were forgettable. Much, much, better options (including some sublime burger joints) nearby if you've got £16 (!) to spend on lunch.

All our meat is Halal. We can provide a certificate at the shop on request. 

Tried a half-and-half today: classic Margherita on one side, their Gardenia (Gardinera) on the other… genuinely such a good combo. The crust was soft, light, and just the right kind of chewy.

The pesto dough balls? Little green-kissed clouds of happiness.

For dips, the garlic butter was silky, and that chilli-basil sauce was chef’s kiss. If you like things on the spicy side, drizzle a bit of their chilli oil on top — trust me, it takes the whole pizza to another level.

Went to the Pizza Express on Borough High Street for lunch recently and had a decent experience. It was pretty busy when we arrived but that's probably expected for the location.

The food was good, had the chicken wings to start which were nicely cooked, followed by the pollo pesto which was tasty and a good portion size. Finished off with dessert and ice cream plus a coffee which rounded the meal off nicely. Staff were friendly and helpful despite clearly being rushed off their feet.

Really appreciated that they accept Blue Light discount cards which saved me a few pounds. The Pizza Express app made everything super easy too, you can order and pay right from your table which meant we didn't have to wait around for the bill when we were ready to leave.

Service was efficient considering how busy they were and the location right in London Bridge makes it handy if you're in the area.

Nothing to complain about really, just a reliable lunch option that does exactly what it says on the tin. Would go back if I was nearby and needed a quick bite.

We visited this place last Sunday and the bartender/host was really friendly and attentive to our needs. Pizzas were delicious as usual but the friendliness of the staff really made me want to put this review. Rare to find such places around touristy spots!

Staff behaviour is too much rude. We ordered one pizza and we not mentioned about large one, we just ordered in menu and menu price 18.25 pound but when we gonna going for pay so he showing me in machine to 21.25 pound so we just discussed about staff and staff was replied not good. They give me a juge of water and glasses and we found pot is not wash properly.

Great service! You won’t go wrong with honest burger. The burger is really awesome, we went for the tribute, Patty to be medium well. It’s so juicy! but the onion rings really nothing too special. If you download the honest app, you get a free onion rings for the first time too. Chilled place to drink and relax. ☺️

Some friends told me I had to try so I finally did it and it was a really good meal! Everything was tasty, the wait was average. I would have liked the burger to be a bit bigger, but it's still a decent size and there was a lot of fries
A bit pricey but I would recommend it if you want a craft burger better than your everyday fast food.

You can always count on Honest Burgers for a great meal. The burgers here are fantastic, made with high-quality British beef, and the signature rosemary-salted fries are always a highlight. It's a simple menu, but they do it exceptionally well. The atmosphere is casual and the service is always efficient.
The only small downside is that it can feel a little expensive for a burger joint, but given the quality of the food, it's a price worth paying. It's a reliable and very tasty option if you're in the mood for a proper burger.

Nice burger but slightly on the expensive side. Fries are decent.chicken wings are nice too! But more than £1 for 1 wing. Also a jug of lemonade cause almost £10, very expensive but food quality overall are good.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

I know many that always try going berenjak always disappointed as they can never find a table. They now have a new branch in London Bridge now. I visited without a booking a month or more ago. I’ve said it many times but berenjak is the only Persian restaurant I love. I tried many and not even one comes close, as well as would easily be in my top 5 restaurants, also the worlds best hummus ever, I mean everrrrr….

Let’s talk about my obsessive behaviour with this hummus. Honestly every time I have this it’s like heaven. Its not like any other hummus, this is totally different in taste and texture. They use black chick pea and probably loads of tahini. Why don’t anyone else use black chick pea lol. But yes no one can beat this hummus. If you know you know 👌

The Koobideh also the juiciest I’ve had. Soft and tender and full on juicy kebeb. This Koobideh and hummus is the perfect meal combo for me here alongside with their holiday bottle mirinda drink. Lol

Tried the new dish Jujeh Kebab Tond, which is a poussin chicken. This chicken is a must try, like hurry and try it. The most juiciest and flavoursome baby chicken you’ll taste. It’s got hints of spices and herbs, with the perfect char, this was faultless

If you guys haven’t still been berenjak, just hurry and order hummus for yourself and a Koobideh and maybe share that baby poussin chicken. And remember never ever share the hummus

This place deserves all the hype it gets. Delicious food , beautiful atmosphere lovey Persian music playing in the back. Attentive staff , great prices. Really enjoyed our meal at berenjak and would definitely be back again.

The meat was juicy: we ordered a set menu that included 1 aubergine mezze, 1 hummus mezze, 2 skewers (one chicken and one lamb), rice, flatbread, and a small salad. We also had a dessert and 4 cocktails 🍹, which came to £200 (15% service charge included ). However, I wouldn’t recommend the cocktails since they were small and cost £15 each. Better options might be beer or wine ;) The service was fantastic. If it weren't for the cocktails, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Good meal start to finish. The hummus alone is worth going for, as is the fork-tender koobideh kabab and ghormeh sabzi. Get both breads and lots of dips to start, then go for one of the grills and one of the stews. Very nice but with that said, it’s not mind blowing - enough to try at least once. Beautiful interiors and dining space, but reservations absolutely essential to enjoy table seating.

Well, I have no compliant about the quality of the food sold here, I have eaten multiple times. Today I stepped into the restaurant at 2:05pm BST and saw the chicken tray was empty, so checked with the person at the counter and he said chicken and salad is still available(well the manager should be knowing who was working at the counter on 4th Sept at 2pm). I ordered a small portion of chicken and salad £10.5. Guy served salad in front of me and took the bowl to the kitchen/store room (i believe)and served the chicken(which i believe was left out) and packed it. He didn't weigh the chicken which they usually do and it was a bit away from me but I was clearly able to see what he was doing. Guys if you know it's done and closed please inform the customer rather serving what is left out and less in quantity for what we pay for.  Extremely poor service.

Good food, nice staff.  What can you really say? It’s very similar to the other venues. They have good food but the price has gone up similar to everything else so it’s a lot more pricey to get the standard rice box with chicken.   Sandwiches here are a good option or something to get every now and again.

There is fierce competition for lunch food in the City amongst the thousands of hungry workers. Food is generally expensive in the area with portion sizes at a premium. Not here. The portion sizes for your food is great with all of your macros being attained. Use the home made green sauce with your chicken - highly recommended. The chicken is also halal here.

Such good value for lunch in the city - huge portion and you can get all of your macros in! Must get the green sauce with the famous chicken and rice combo. The queue is long though, try to get there at midday or the queue gets longer than butchers.

Assenheims 56!! As I work in Bank, I have this quite regularly for lunch. Chicken, rice and salad with the green sauce is absolutely fantastic. I don’t know what they put in the green sauce but WOW! Great place for your lunch if you work around Bank/Moorgate area. Reasonably cheap and a good size portion. I have one most weeks and they never fail. Highly recommend and they have discounts on Tuesdays (20% off if you order on Just Eat).

Chicken is Halal and HFA certified. Pork is served but prepared and handled separately to prevent cross-contamination.

Went here for my 40th birthday weekend in London after visiting the Sky Garden and found this Turkish gem right behind there. Food was simply delicious and our waitress was the best. We haven't tried Turkish cuisine before. This was a new attempt and a really great experience. The steak was tender, juicy and very delicious.

This place is truly amazing, the stuff was very nice and friendly, we were celebrating my sister's birthday and they brought as a typical dessert free of charge right before leaving. The atmosphere is calm and very elegant I definitely recommend it. Also the place was very clean.

We had a wonderful time at time at HAZ bar and really enjoyed our food. The dishes were delicious and severed very fast. The waitress was friendly and quick to respond. We totally can recommend this restaurant.

Honest Burgers London Bridge - Tooley Street

Mixed feeling about this location.
It is very convenient as it is next to London Bridge station and the main landmarks. However, due to that it was packed! We went on a random Wednesday at 6pm and it took forever to get a table and even more to order and get the check.
They only had 4 waiters for the entire place and they were overwhelmed. The restaurant seems small, but there are two floors and they can fit quite a few people. They had to block new orders every so often because the kitchen couldn’t cope.
Food was nice. If you download the app for the first time you can get free onion rings which is nice, but you cannot combine that with the student discount. It has a loyalty program so every time you visit you get a stamp and you can get free things.
Probably we would not recommend this restaurant based on our wait time. Also we wouldn’t go back to this location, but as it is a chain we might go to another one.
Also we didn’t love the amount of rosemary on the fries, way tooo much. Burger was a bit small, but nice.

I have been to another branch before and this branch is also quite nice. The buffalo burger is really nice (especially the sauce!) and the crispy garlic fries that come with it. The atmosphere is nice and warm which was good considering the weather but the service was very slow. I think they need to hire more staff here as they seemed overwhelmed.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience I had at your restaurant on today at 13:00 .I ordered a vegan burger, but when it arrived, I noticed a hair on the plate.

I immediately brought this to the attention of the waitress, who acknowledged the issue and said she would bring a new portion without the hair. While I appreciate the prompt response, this incident raised serious concerns about hygiene and food handling standards in your kitchen.

I had come to your restaurant expecting a clean and enjoyable dining experience, and this situation left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I hope this was an isolated incident, but I encourage you to review your kitchen hygiene protocols and staff training to prevent this from happening to other customers.

Very disappointing experience. The location and restaurant design are great — such potential — but the quality of the food was far below KFC’s usual standard. The chicken was extremely salty, and when I mentioned it to the staff, I was told that all KFCs in the UK are the same, which isn’t true since I’ve had much better meals at other branches. There were also no serviettes or straws available. Overall, it seems to be poorly managed, which is a shame given how nice the place looks.

First time I have been to this KFC and i'm was  satisfied with the service and the food. The Place it was very clean, including the restrooms, the atmosphere was great and as there wasn't many seating customers it was very peaceful. I had to wait for a few minutes for the chicken but it was worth it as it was pipping hot, and crispy.The staff were attentive so overall a good fast food outlet.
The only thing I with that it was a choice of water with the meal deals as I don't drink fizzy drinks.

I went searching for a KFC Stuffing Burger for lunch today. Bishopsgate had sold out, so I walked to Tower Hill, determined, and they had one. First impression of the burger upon opening the box was dreadful. The bun looked plain, the chicken and stuffing looked uninspiring, but it was then surprisingly good. The stuffing was really juicy, just the right amount of cranberry. I opted against the double chicken Stuffing Stacker and went for the solitary Stuffing Tower, but made it a box meal. In hindsight, the 1 piece original chicken was unnecessary as it added nothing to the meal, and a Stuffing Stacker would've been preferable. I'd give it an 7/10 for taste and 3/10 for how it looked.

The service in the restaurant was quick and well mannered.

The restaurant itself is a strange place, in the arches underground, with the sound of the London Underground trains rattling close by. It was clean and tidy though, and looked to have a barrier entry system for the toilets.

Food was good but the ladies toilet was disgusting. It was dirty, there was hardly any toilet paper, wet tissue left on the floor, the walls and ceiling were filthy and the ceiling is also very low in places and should have a notice advising this.

All, please avoid this place. One of their team members came to the toilets from the kitchen and used the standing urinals then left without washing his hand. This was today 25/11/2025 at 17:15. Manager should immediately fire this guy I don’t know his name but he had a dark hair and brown skin. I first used the bathroom to wash my hands first before eating but then left immediately when I saw that.
I was shocked and disgusted.

HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

Anokha London

Anokha yesterday was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was attentive, and the food was exceptional.

The standout dish of the evening was the King-Prawn Damaka – perfectly cooked prawns with rich, vibrant flavours and just the right amount of heat. It was truly unforgettable and definitely one of the best prawn dishes I’ve had in London.

Everything else we tried was equally impressive, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Indian spices. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We tried so many dishes here, and honestly, everything was delicious. Probably some of the best Indian food I’ve had in London. The flavours were amazing, the staff were super friendly, and the place had such a nice vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you love good Indian food.

I had an incredible dining experience at Anokha Restaurant in London. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed — perfect for both a special occasion and a casual night out.

Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The Anokha Chicken was particularly memorable — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cocktails were creative and expertly made, and the dessert was the perfect finish to an exceptional meal.

If you've ever wanted to try Indian food but weren't sure where to start, Anokha London is definitely the place. The staff were super kind and helped me to choose dishes that matched my spice comfort level. I also tried a little bit of samosa and dal. 10/10 would go back (next time I'm brave enough to try something spicier)

Excellent evening with the lads. Food was excellent as always! Steaks clocked perfectly. Service was a little slow, but Eric stepped in and bossed it from then on.

We took my 15 year old cousin here as he loves steak (cooking and eating) and I've had good experiences in the past at the Mayfair location.

Prices are, like many steak places, eye watering. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was quiet, even when we were leaving at 8pm.

I don't object to paying for good quality food and service but I must say, we got a very mixed bag with this place.

On arrival, we were seated in a nice booth at the front.. Our server was helpful and pleasant, we were offered drinks and menus immediately, and shown the customary raw meat selection.

Interestingly most of the starters are seafood based (prawn, crab, tuna) which is a problem if you have a slightly picky teenager with you. He had the bread basket to himself (which you're charged for, which in and of itself, I find astonishing). Over 30 years of going to all kinds of higher end restaurants and this is the only time I've been charged for bread other than specialised bread baskets. Last year's teenager birthday meal was The Ivy, the year before The Savoy Grill. On neither occasion did either restaurant charge for the standard, pre-meal bread. In fact, the Savoy provided a second basket for the teenager free of charge.

To start I had the prawn tempura and the other guest had the burrata. The burrata was good quality and tasty. The prawns were generous but I found the creamy sauce and batter a sickly combination. I felt in needed more citrus, sharpness.

I ordered the sirloin as my main, teen had the Australian Ribeye and the other guest has the fillet. We ordered fries, chips and green beans to accompany alongside 2 x peppercorn sauce and 1 x Stilton.

The sirloin was beautifully cooked and very tasty. As was the Fillet. However, the ribeye was underdone and the Stilton sauce tasted only of beef gravy. We sent both back. The ribeye was refunded and the Stilton sauce left unimproved and replaced with a bernaise (at our request) in the end.

On taking the ribeye away the manager (? I assume, she never introduced herself) asked if we wanted another. We said no as we were half way through out meals. She did not return to follow up or establish what the outcome of the complaint would be. And she did not apologise.

Super disappointing.

Our waiter was very good, though, and apologetic. They did provide a Birthday sundae for the teenager but we opted not to order anything further.

In the end, the ribeye had been removed from our bill, as had the sauce.

Its worth noting that this place adds a 15% service charge. I once again implore all visitors to London restaurants to ask for service charges to be removed.

Restaurants that charge £40 for their cheapest steak and £9 for each side order should not be expecting guests to plump up staff wages. We have a living wage in the UK and, whilst I continue to (and encourage others to) tip for very good service, I don't believe in the ever growing trend on foisting service charging on customers.

And 15% is ludicrous.

A disappointment in the end, especially as it was the teenager who didn't enjoy his steak and it was his birthday. Won't be returning.

We were alone in the restaurant and had to wait for drinks when the meat was already on the table (the bartender was too busy talking), and then the waiters forgot about us and didn't come over.
The meat was of good quality, but the taste was ruined by the burning due to the cooking method.

A great spot right by the Tube Station! However the service on a Saturday night is pretty poor. Lack of staff which meant food wasn't being turned around as quickly.
Food on the other hand is amazing! Loved the burgers and would definitely try another branch to eat there again!

I visited the restaurant today (12.8.25) and made payment at 7:20 pm. I was seated at Table 12, order number 106, and served by a tall South Asian woman, possibly of Indian origin.

We ordered drinks, but due to an unexpected situation, we had to leave immediately and could not place any food orders. When I asked for the bill, she questioned whether we wanted any food. I said no, and then asked for the service charge to be removed. We paid separately, after which her attitude noticeably worsened. Instead of handing me the card reader, she abruptly dashed it onto the table, which was completely unnecessary and highly inappropriate.

It is important for staff to understand that the service charge is optional, and sometimes situations arise where customers must leave unexpectedly. There is also nothing wrong with a customer ordering only drinks.

When I requested the service charge to be removed, and to pay separately she responded with an attitude and a dismissive “what?” twice, despite clearly hearing me the first time. She needs to improve her customer service skills and treat all customers with respect.

She was not wearing a name badge, but based on the details I have provided, I am confident you can identify her on CCTV and my receipt.

Overall my experience would be rated a ZERO, I will not come back here again

Standard burger restaurant experience. Food was good for the price. Just lacked anything to make it stand out and want you to go there again. Good if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. I just had the sides as a meal and food was good but nothing out of this world. Service was a little lacking in terms of checking food was ok.

I visited Honest Burger yesterday and I was very satisfied with the food. Despite everything, the service was very good as well. The reason for my rating is that at one point two women were speaking on a phone call very loudly They were possibly Indians, shouting in a way that disrupted the atmosphere. The evening was good overall and I really enjoyed the food, but the staff should try to better control loud conversations, especially when they happen right next to the bar area where customers are seated.

Food was great but my dad got sick and diarrhea after taking the burger with maxican sauce. I was not a really great experience

Another favourite of mine during work lunch. I always get their chicken rice box which comes with a choice of 2 from rice, vegetables, and potatoes, and a generous portion of marinated chicken thighs. The chicken is always super tender and doused in a delicious zingy sauce. They also always provide their signature green sauce which I’m not too big of a fan off so I usually opt for their free hot sauce which is amazing. Overall, amidst the lunch options in the City, Assenheim’s is one of the more flavourful and filling options and would definitely recommend.

Decent sized portions - did me lunch and dinner. Loads of vegan options. Really tasty too, especially the sauce.  Gets busy around lunchtime so be prepared.

The recent menu update has been a disaster. They used to serve broccoli and carrot as veg option but now the fajita veg doesn’t have great taste, looks sad, and I just don’t think it’s a very good veg option.

Chicken tastes good as before the portion size has dramatically decreased. The box used to be full even when ordering a normal size but now it’s not even full. Very sad to see how things are changing here at this place.

They have recently increased the price but it’s shocking that they’ve also downgraded the vegetable option. It is very disappointing to see a merchant going down both route reducing costs. Probably won’t go back again.

This place used to be my favourite place to eat lunch in the city. But since the change of team recently, the value for money has dramatically decreased. I have just paid £13 for a teaspoon of rice. The quantities have massively dropped and unfortunately seems as if our beloved assenheims is falling into the same trap as the other food franchises in the city.

Visited for lunch on a Wednesday in January. Decent queues around 1pm but moved along fairly quickly. NOTE WELL: the sandwich queue is much slower than the chicken box meal queue, probably four times slower, all things being equal. So keep that in mind if time is of the essence. I got the Cuban sandwich. It was very good, the pulled pork perhaps a touch on the sweet side but overall highly enjoyable. Service is efficient. The sandwich was £7.50, which I thought was a decent price given the quality and the fact that it’s a pretty big, hearty sandwich. I will definitely return for a takeaway lunch.

Love this place. The staff it's so nice. I always visit when I am around. I specially like Paula (because she speaks portuguese) and Kayla or Kyle (I am sorry I forgot her name...) but she as a lovely irish accent and she is so polite and kind.
The burritos are to die for. I always want to eat at least two! Very delicious. Love the rice.

All the pastries use the same dough, a layered, flaky yet soft and spongy concoction that is fine by me. The vanilla custard is great, filled with plenty of smooth custard and is a good sized treat.

The cinnamon buns and dulce de leche however, are just too small/expensive. Nice to eat but not large enough to satisfy your hunger. Think they got their pricing wrong there, at £2.50 I'd eat two and be very happy, but not at nearly £4 each.

Tried this place 3 years ago & fell in love - it still tastes just as good 3 years later!!!

Was questioning ma bf why we needed 3 cinnamon buns, as we just finished a massive meal & I didn’t wanna waste them… but we ended up eating them all 🫢 still tasted amazing the day after, fresh must be even better!

FYI the cinnamon buns aren’t your typical fluffy ones, they’re kinda flaky on the outside & soft on the inside. Love that they’re not dowsed in icing sugar & far too sweet like the other ones.

I also have a soft spot for their custard pastries!!!

So disappointed. Tried some from here on a Monday. I would have thought the buns would have been extra fresh or made that morning. But the buns were stale and dry. At least two days old. I tried a couple of these buns in the past from other branches, which were pretty good at the time, but these ones were definitely not on the same level. I feel like they’ve changed and can’t trust them now 😭

Update: just had a look and see other customers have also complained about the buns being stale.

Whats going on?

I love buns from home , I buy these buns literally every weekend. However, in this location it is not the first time when I come and they are not fresh. They shouldn’t sell them for the same price that these ones cooked fresh. Bun itself was really dry and hard.

I got the cinnamon bun which was good but not revolutionary, which if i’m paying £4 for a tiny bun I do actually expect. I know £4 is quite average for baked goods however these baked goods tend to be larger but also much more moist. I’m sure when they’re warmer they taste better and aren’t as dry but circumstances shouldn’t have to change for something to taste good.

The only two buns flavours on our permanent menu that aren’t vegetarian are our ham and cheese bun and our tiramisu bun (pork gelatine). We are currently trying to switch over to fish gelatine but it’s proving harder than we expected. None of the permanent flavours contain alcohol. Occasionally, weekend specials will contain one or both of these ingredients, in which case we will be sure to mention this on the instagram announcement. 

I visited this establishment earlier this week for a reunion meal. It's really simple to book online and wasn't a problem that we had tastecards. You can get 2 for 1 on all starters, mains and desserts which is fantastic (Sunday to Thursday only). The atmosphere was fairly dead as it was a weekday which was perfect as it can get really busy so shouting becomes a must. Despite that the service was extremely slow and unattentive; our mains came before our starter plates had been removed despite being in situ for around 10minutes. The food is standard pizza express quality so pretty decent. There are toilets and easy access for those with disabilities. All in all a decent place to visit but do invest in a tastecard; we saved £51 on our bill by having 2.

Went for a 'pizza making' session where we all got to make our own pizza from the grounds up (except for the dough which was handed over to us). It was quite satisfying to be taught by the head 'pizzaiolo' to make a perfect pizza. Mine turned out to be good (see pic). Happy with the effort but struggled to finish my own-made pizza as the crust was a little too dry for my liking. Topped it off with an Eton Mess Sundae.

One of our colleagues had her phone snatched by a thief on a cycle just outside the Pizza Express. She obviously was gutted. Nothing wrong with the establishment but the alley is too quiet even on a weekday so keep your possessions safe!

Worst pizza express I've been to for a long time. Rude waiter. Also had to send back a tiny salad 'Special' to get my usual order instead (so that I felt fed!), it came excessively drenched in olive oil. Had this dish many times before and enjoyed it, this was well below usual standard.

Tucked away just off Cheapside this is another great restaurant in the Pizza Express family. Service fast and efficient and always with a smile even at busy times. Pizza and wine always delicious, skipped dessert this time as yummy couldn't take any more food

Friendly staff, food the usual pizza express standard. I decided to ring in advance to see if they were busy during lunch time . I was greeted by a friendly person who advised me it should be ok and took my name down. I arrived and the service was very good and staff attentive.

The pizza was impressively large and nicely presented, though the flavor was just okay. The service, while clearly well intentioned, felt a bit too persistent, staff checked in repeatedly within very short intervals, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, the experience was fine, but not one I would be eager to repeat.

Was ok. Service very Slow, and it wasn’t even that busy. We had to wait forever for a few slices of in the end sloppy, COLD and rather tasteless pizza….served on paper plates!! Weird given the price. Other tables who arrived after us got served way before us. Also it’s too loud for a proper conversation without shouting across the table. Definitely won’t be back anytime soon and I can’t see myself recommending this place either.

Incredible pizza stop with wonderful service and great atmosphere. It is subtly dim and minimalist in a nice way, with consistent views to the roaring pizza oven. Pizzas are 20" super thin base and a thick puffy crust, it is absolutely wonderful BUT MEANT TO BE SHARED. While I was able to go through a whole pizza on my own, many will not and they will happily warn you. If you are going simply you can happily order by the slice but if you want to share some more complex options, go for half and half and get stuck in! Decent cocktail selection too, they do have dessert options but I did not give them a go.

High recommend and absolutely will go again!

Freshly made oven baked pizza, they do it in a very big size but thin. You can order either slice by slice or a full one. There’s a half half which you can choose two flavours. Tasted good.

Our Wagyu and lamb are both halal, and of course our vegetarian pizzas.

*Effective* lunch spot, if you want good meat with some carbs then this is ideal. The chicken box and sauce is great and with a great choice of sides (rice, veg, potatoes). Very quick service even with a long queue and seating available inside. Nothing to particularly rave about, you can get a more interesting lunch for the same price range but can’t knock it!

How did this place go so downhill? Used to be my favourite before! Price has doubled, portion has shrunk and the quality of food not as it was before. Lots of chicken skin in the box! The vegetable used to be actual vegetables before, carrots, broccoli etc but now it's just cabbage. Think I saw somewhere it's an upgrade for an additional 50p on top of the over priced meal for actual vegetables!

Bit annoying when you pay an extortionate price of £11.50 for lunch and not feeling satisfied at all!

Won't be returning to this place again

Workers were surly and a bit exasperated that we didn't know how to order. Strange setup with marinated chicken dishes on one side, sandwiches on the other. Confusing when you have a larger party who orders both. All the seating was gross - sticky tables all around. Cuban sandwich was alright. Other things like the chicken sandwich was soggy and had lots of skin and fat - it is hard to eat when you are picking through the sandwich each bite. Lettuce was mildly wilted. Kids didn't enjoy dissecting their meal before eating it. Bathroom was unacceptable - no paper towels, dirty.

One of the popular places to get lunch from in the city. If you’re after 12 expect a queue but it does go quickly.

The chicken is great and I usually go for a regular with veg and potato. The potato is often under or overcooked. You can get rice and salad so I should probably opt for one of those instead :)

The chicken isn’t really peri peri. But it is very tasty! Then there’s the magic green sauce you can see in the pot. Whack that over the top of the food and it takes the dish to a whole new level.

You can eat in but I’ve never eaten in. Only take away.

South American cuisine. It gets crazy busy during lunch. Which shows its popularity. They close early. Around 5, plus run out of dishes so be quick. Theyve put their prices up recently. But so has many places. The price has put it into the treat section rather than a go to place for me now. Bit it's a v good treat. Pictured. The Patacones sandwich. Pulled beef covered by plantain as buns. Next level stuff. Highly recommended.

I tried the Centic Special, and it was outstanding. A perfect mix of meat and chicken with a gentle spice, rich sauce, and yoghurt on top. It arrived piping hot and packed with flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the ambience was warm and elegant. A great choice if you want something different from the usual Turkish grill.

Clean place with friendly staff and nicely presented dishes. The food was tasty and fresh, nothing too fancy, but perfect for a relaxed dinner. We enjoyed the halloumi, chicken shish, and vine leaves. Would happily come back for a casual meal.

5 stars all round. Generous portions. Chicken shish was well cooked and full of flavour. Much better than the other three-letter Turkish spots nearby. Only downside: the hummus tasted shop-bought, freshly made would lift it. Slightly pricey for lunch but fair for dinner.

Smoky babaganoush and spicy chicken kofte with bulgur were absolutely delicious, great mix of spices and very generous portions!

Lovely staff, attentive and welcoming. Entire place creates a very cosy atmosphere, ideal for a chilled & quiet evening.

Great food. I really recommend the beetroot tartare starter - I’m not a beetroot person but it was exceptional. The rib eye main course was great too. The service was not the quickest but 2 courses in 90 minutes.
Nice atmosphere- you could have a discussion and hear everyone around the table.

I had a great experience at Omnino Steakhouse. The food was absolutely amazing,  the steak was juicy, tender, and full of flavour. You can really taste the high quality of the meat. Everything was cooked perfectly and served beautifully.

The service was just as good. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. They took the time to explain the menu and gave great recommendations.

Simply delicious food, can’t say much more than that. We had the sausage platter, grilled octopus, ribeye and sirloin and all was top notch. The staff are also brilliant, we had a small medical emergency - not to do with the restaurant at all! - and they were amazing. Patient, understanding and just went out of their way to make sure once everything was resolved we still got to enjoy our evening. Can’t say thank you enough

Such an incredible dining experience!! The service was immaculate, our server helped explain the dishes we were unsure of and made recommendations for us as first time diners. They let us take our time with each course, and everything was cooked to perfection. It was the best meal I ate while in London!!!!

We went for an early dinner this afternoon.  Was seated and served immediately. We ordered OMNINO SAMPLER
INCLUDE FILLET, RUMP, RIBEYE & SIRLOIN 1.2KG. Between my husband and I, we finished it all. It was delicious steaks. Good value! Will go back again.

We do serve a selection of Picanha and it’s Halal. Please give us a minimum four days of notice if you require a Halal option. Unfortunately the rest of the steak is not.

I had a great experience at Tossed ! The salads are fresh, flavorful, and made with a wide variety of ingredients. On top of the delicious food, I’d like to highlight the excellent service from Artur, who was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit. He truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Overall, I appreciated the healthy options on the menu and the fresh ingredients The team worked quickly without making me feel rushed, and they were happy to answer my questions about the menu. On top of that, the shop was clean and well-organized, which added to the positive atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to Tossed on Coleman Street every day, and I absolutely love it here! Their salads are my go-to choice for a delicious and healthy meal. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is hands down my favorite—I’m basically in love with it! The Parmesan Chicken Salad is also incredible and highly recommended. The team here is super fast, everything is always fresh and clean, and the service is top-notch. If you’re looking for a spot that consistently delivers on quality, Toast is the place to be!
