We tried out the Fairfax Egg Sandwich from @eggslutuk , and while it was tasty and the eggs were soft and creamy, it was underwhelming and definitely not filling enough for it’s price.

Loved this so much we had the pork romesco it was delicious I’ve had the cheeseburger at another branch and I would probably say I’d prefer this if I were to order again but the pork belly was cooked really well and the sandwich was super flavourful. You absolutely need to try the truffle hash browns they were so delicious and they were served with a chipotle mayo and siracha ketchup I preferred the ketchup but both were delicious. I also had the strawberry matcha and it was so yummy and not too sweet. We went around midday on a weekday so it was pretty quiet there is not much seating upstairs but they had additional seating downstairs and we were served relatively quickly. I would definitely come again.

Very bad experience, 1st of all, we sat outside, where it is cold, today the temperature is 2° feels like -1°. 2nd, these sandwiches are ridiculously small and tasteless. You have no idea how tasteless they are. They don't make any sense. And for that price !!!. Avoid at all costs. And lastly, the smell of the cooking is suffocating inside, I don't know if the vents are not working and malfunctioning, staff were nice , but 0 experience. I would never go back there.

It's not my first visit to Eggslut on Portabello Road. The hash browns are just as delicious as I remember. My breakfast was perfection as was my daughter's. The eggs are cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere. The orange juice is so fresh and super delicious 😋

The line out the door should tell you it’s good. It was worth the wait and the line moved pretty quickly. Bacon egg and cheese on brioche with a side of truffle hasbrowns are the way to go. Friendly staff and great coffee too.

The food is genuinely delicious, I absolutely loved it!!  and the prices are very reasonable…. However, I’m giving it three stars because there were TWO mice in the back area of the restaurant, where there is also outdoor seating, which was quite concerning. Hygiene should always come first, and for that reason alone I couldn’t give it five stars. It’s a real shame, because the food itself is excellent.

Our beef bacon, wagyu beef and turkey sausage are halal available at all stores!

Went to restaurant recently for a Xmas work do, it was great on the terrace with the heaters on making us cozy. The cocktails were generous and the food was good. We had a good selection from a mixed grill to vegan  all went down a treat. Customer service was attentive. The restaurant is on the first floor so will have to climb stairs. Stairs also to access the bathrooms, be mindful.  Was it worth it -yes for food  beverages and ambience. We enjoyed ourselves. In the summer would be nice to visit with friends.

Very nice place i came to celebrate my cousin birthday and the staff was really nice. Great service. Great food. They made this evening very special thanks also to Alvero and Mohamed who gave us a great service. I would definitely come again to this place!!

My friends and me rented out a private room for a bridal shower. Room was beautiful and large (we had 11 people + baby). Food was delicious, with large portions. Staff was specatcular. Mai was so kind and smiley, top tier service. Muhammad the owner was so friendly, checked on us. Great and definitely would recommend for intimate occasions.

Good atmosphere, good food, and nice drinks. Hummus is top and a must try! Ahmed, Mohammed and May gave us a special treatment and made it even more special.

Had an amazing night here! Amazing food and drink and lovely service. Our server Mo was very sweet and ensured we had the best evening. Well priced too.

Cinquecento Pizzeria Portobello

Authentic Italian restaurant ran by Italians!!! The food was amazing! We ordered the San Daniele pizza which was rich in flavour and very generous with the quantities!! The Linguine all’Arrabiata is a simpler option but still really delicious, the tomato sauce had a lot of taste (it’s hard to make a tomato sauce this good and tasty).
The girl that served us, Natalia, was really nice and made sure everything was perfect during our meal.
100% recommend

We have kinda small appetite so we ordered one pizza, one starter, green salad. The pizza was amazing, really chewy and taste dough, fresh tomato paste, such a really nice cheese. I’ll say the pizza is the best thing I’ve ever tried in London!! Also the staff were really kind and amazing!! I’ll go this restaurant again If I go Portobello market! High recommend!!

Wow! What can I say! Saw this wonderful restaurant strolling through Portobello Market and am blown away by the quality & flavours! Service was fantastic, pizzas were incredible (compliments to Francesco) full of flavour but not heavy, goats cheese salad was delicious plus a wonderful ambience. Have taken the leftovers it was THAT GOOD! Would highly recommend.

Where should I start from? Firstly,and most importantly, the customer service was excellent.The waitress was welcoming and helped us choose dessert with her recommendations. The tiramisu was rich and almost as good as my mothers. The pizzas were cooked to perfection composed by quality ingredients. I will definitely be attending again soon:) In general the staff was candid!

I recently visited here and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Specially Aline. 5 star customer service.

Now, let's talk about the food! The pizza was out of this world. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I could tell that the ingredients were of high quality and the pizza was made with care and attention to detail.

In addition to the pizza, we also tried the garlic knots and they were delicious! Soft and fluffy with just the right amount of garlic and butter.

Overall, I highly recommend this Italian pizza shop. If you're looking for authentic and delicious pizza, this is the place to go. The atmosphere and service were also top-notch, making for an unforgettable dining experience.

The Ledbury

I am posting this review with a slight delay. We celebrated a birthday at the Ledbury some time ago. It was excellent! Certainly one of the best experiences of mine. The service is amazing - they certainly exceeded our expectations considering how passionate they were about the dishes and creating a friendly atmosphere. The meals were fantastic! Each dish amazed us with its flavors. Excellent wines as well.

Since the tasting menu consisted of plenty of dishes, we decided to have lunch at The Ledbury instead of dinner.  I really enjoyed the decor and the ambience of this place.
The food and service were top-notch, and every dish was not only beautiful, but also tasted great.  I am so glad I had a chance to dine there.

Brought my fiancé for his birthday meal a few weeks ago. We had the best time! Staff were attentive, super friendly, and made you feel so welcome - We even had a laugh. The food was absolutely incredible; such creative flavour combinations we hadn't had before. There were so many small details that made the night special, and it was overall a perfect evening. Thanks to everyone at The Ledbury for an amazing night.

From the moment you step through the door you know you are somewhere special.

A beautiful,modern and chic dining room.
We could admire the decor as we were first to be seated.
Whilst taking a first glimpse of the nights tasting menu,we ordered a Mojito & had the best ever Negroni.

Soon after that,the table was filled with an array of the most delicious snacks.
The stand out for us, had to be the tempura scallop.

Then followed a procession of the most beautiful dishes of food you could ever dream of.
Each with their own story of the high quality ingredients and technicality involved.
Explained and served to us, on occasion by the main man himself, Chef Patron Brett Graham.

What makes this restaurant stand out,is not just the food.It's the hospitality from the front of house team.
They were so attentive and friendly but not intrusive.

We had the honour of visiting the kitchen where all the real action is.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience of dining at such an iconic establishment.
We can't thank everyone enough for all the attention we received and shall treasure our visit for many years.
This is down-to-earth fine dining at it's very best and if you have a bucket list,get this ticked off as soon as possible.

One of the best dinners I’ve ever have. Amazing service with a perfect balance between fancy and relaxed and friendly. The wine paring was amazing, some great labels paring perfectly with the food. And. The food was amazing, technically perfect, great flavours and a lot of truffle. I. My opinion a perfect place for a celebration or an important event.

Makan Cafe

"Makan" is to Eat.
"Nasi Campur" (Mixed Rice) with 2 or 3 meat/veg options.
Chicken sambal (spicy but not chilli flamin hot) is nice.
Aubergine, Okra, Chickpeas are very nice options.
Preferred the others above instead of plainer veg with beancurd (protein).
Char Kueh Teow (standalone mains) was very nice, not chilli hot.
Breakfasty Roti Prata/Canai with Dhal (standalone mains) was very nice.

"Teh Tarik" (Pulled Tea with milk, I requested option with less sugar) at £3 v nice.

Happen to walk around Portobello Market and found this Malaysian halal restaurant. Service was fast.  Served by a lovely Malaysian lady.

One of the most Malaysian place we’ve found in London with dishes commonly found in neighborhood stalls. Char Kuey Teow was more malay/mamak style than Penang style but still delicious! Nasi Lemak and other lauk are all sedap. Reasonably priced too.

Great Malaysian restaurant and cafe. Portions here a decent and you get good value for money. There are plenty of seats and you can order from their buffet counter and the food comes in minutes. Nasi Lemak and mee goreng are very nice as well as the teh tarik.

Honest Burgers Portobello

My first time eating in Honest Burger and I honestly enjoyed it. This branch is fairly small and was reasonably busy at 7pm on a Saturday but we managed to get a table as a walk-in. Staff were extremely polite, friendly and efficient. I couldn't fault them at all. I had the vegan burger with bacon. The bread was light and fluffy, the bacon was crispy and the burger was juicy with the perfect amount of sear on the outside. The fries with slightly underdone for my preference, they just needed an extra minute to be perfect but the seasonine was delicious.
I would happily visit and order the same again.

The food really made me happy! It’s been a while since I had an amazing burger, super delicious fries and excellent sauces!

The local burguer was amazing, but the other two we ordered were okay. The chicken tenders and the fries were very good and a good-sized portion and the waiter was extremely nice, a good restaurant for your visit to Portobello market

The staff were friendly and took the time to explain the different burgers, which was nice. I went for the chilli burger—it came with bacon. The beef patty was juicy (ish—maybe because I asked for medium-well), though some of the bacon bits were a bit tough to chew. I loved the rosemary chips, but a few bites were quite salty. Luckily, the homemade lemonade helped balance that out. In hindsight, I probably should’ve gone for the one with the American sauce instead.

Delicious burgers! We ordered an “Honest” and a “Smashed”, and both were really tasty. The fries were amazing too!

The service was very quick as well. A special mention to our waitress, unfortunately I didn’t ask her name, but she was incredibly friendly, funny, and attentive.

When I mentioned I wasn’t sure about the sauce on the Smash burger (since it included mustard and I don’t usually like it), she kindly offered to put it on the side with the fries so I could try it. When she brought the burger, she encouraged me to taste it, and it turned out to be really good!

Later, when we checked the photos at the hotel, we noticed she had made a funny pose in the background, which made us laugh a lot!

Excellent service overall and delicious food. We were very happy with our visit!

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

Great spot for takeout buns. They have a wide variety of flavor alternatives to cater all likings. Personally, I chose the Dubai chocolate flavor (as I have a sweet tooth) and it was really good. The portion size is REALLY generous. Can perfectly be shared by two. I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting, so the box they provide you with comes in handy so that you can take your leftovers with you. The coffee was decent. Could be improved.

The smell outside was amazing, so I had to stop in. I tried one of their specials, the Dubai Chocolate. It was really good, though very sweet. Think it cost around £5.65 for one (special buns costs more than the regular)

You can’t miss with buns from home. Every time I get something from them, I’m have an incredible experience. Whether it’s pistachio bun, cardamom or cinnamon, almond croissant one ALL OF THEM are incredible.

cinnamon bun and vanilla custard are so delicious!! highly recommend. Waiting is usually a bit long but we were lucky enough to be the first on the line this time. Pastries go out of stock really fast if we did not manage to go there early enough.

The only two buns flavours on our permanent menu that aren’t vegetarian are our ham and cheese bun and our tiramisu bun (pork gelatine). We are currently trying to switch over to fish gelatine but it’s proving harder than we expected. None of the permanent flavours contain alcohol. Occasionally, weekend specials will contain one or both of these ingredients, in which case we will be sure to mention this on the instagram announcement. 

Maramia Cafe

We had a lovely Monday dinner.
We started with a shared Moutabal, which was wonderfully fresh and flavourful, and as main courses Lamb Kebab and King Prawns. The food was outstanding; the meat was very juicy, and the prawns were excellent too.
The service was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. While the restaurant was quiet, being a Monday evening, it was a very relaxing atmosphere accompanied by lovely music. A highly recommended spot for fresh, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.

I have never been more de-influenced in all my life!! What really upset me is that I was looking forward to eating here for months after seeing the dancing and atmosphere on Insta and tik tok.
From the start we walked the staff a guy and girl just did not care to serve us. Dirty plates had to get them changed missed cutlery had to request. I had to get up several times to request for somebody to provide something or take our order even get the menu. They did not care. My potato dish didn’t arrive despite me getting up asking for an update as the other food was there and I’ve nearly finished my dish. The guy said it’s coming in 1 min. I could tell he was blatantly lying. I made sure they did not charge me and then that prompted the manager to come to our table to apologise. I explained how terrible the service he just listened but no real response on the matter. Literally heartbroken as you really want to support a restaurant with a strong message. Food was great but service and the whole experience ruined it for me. PLEASE DO BETTER!! We want to support you but YOU do not know now how to treat your customers. Moral of the story don’t trust social media 🤣🤣. Very sad I had to leave this review.

Its been a while since I went but though to review this place as the food was great.
- the maftoul was fresh in my eyes: first time having pumpkin served with chicken! The flavours are subtle. Quite tasty, though lacking in salt for my taste!
- taybeh beer: if you like your beer, you’ll love this
- msakhan wrap: an interesting way to serve msakhan. This was quite tasty, with strong foavours. I didn’t mind the modern take on it, though purists would not.
- excellent lentil soup

Literally some of the best food I’ve ever had. I think about this meal weekly (I visited Feb 2024). Everything tastes amazing and fresh. Service can be slow but don’t let this deter you. Very reasonably priced as well.

Food here was really delicious, we had the Chicken Mussakhan, the Palestinian Moussaka, Gaza Salad, and Sujuk. Lovely bread too!
We also enjoyed the lemon and mint juice and beer.
Service was quick and the staff were friendly, even though it was quite busy.

Everything on our menu is Halal, however we also serve alcohol.
