The food here is perfection! Lovely flavours and portions! We always stop by Diyarbakır when we want solid grilled food.. their only let down is the service can be hit and miss sometimes.. understandably it can get busy on weekends but the some of the staff do not communicate at all during this time and you can be left to be feeling ignored. I’d stick to midweek trips to avoid this

I enjoyed a quick lunch in here and was impressed by the food, service and price. I must have lunch here again and soon.

Amazing food. My family and I love this place. So fresh and authentic. The meal starts off with complimentary meze which is delicious! I always get the Beyti when i come here- it’s the best i’ve ever had! Very friendly staff who gave us a rice pudding on the house. Can’t wait to be back

Celebrated my birthday here and straight off the bat we were pleased with the interior. Feels luxurious!

The food was all cooked to perfection and served at the right temperature and timing.  Ferhat served us and was consistently attentive to our table, making sure we were fine. He even offered us free Turkish desserts and tea! Generous and kind of him to suggest. Another man, who seemed to be the manager was as attentive as him and visited our table twice. It’s very rare to get a service as such.

I will definitely come back to this lovely restaurant and for sure recommend it to friends!!

This is best vegetarian dish I've tasted in years.

YOĞURTLU ADANA
Grilled lean, tender minced lamb, skewered chopped on a bed of cube cut bread, topped with special tomato sauce, strained yogurt & finely burned butter sauce

The burnt butter in this was wild! It felt like I was eating Michelin star food.

The staff were lovely. Efes draft was great. It's expanding soon. Fantastic.

2025 update - This place is still superb. It's my favourite restaurant in London.

Came here in October 2025 on a Friday for a birthday breakfast for my boyfriend, and it was a great experience. Small intimate cafe with friendly staff, no booking and we were seated on arrival.

There were lots of options to pick from the menu - I went for the Fry Up Breakfast and my partner got the Signature OMG, as well as some halloumi to share. We both enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend it to anyone that loves breakfast and brunch food. Great way to start the day.

Recently stayed with some family in Finsbury Park and stopped by Dobar for brunch on the way to the station - WOW!

From the moment we arrived we were treated with warm hospitality with servers offering us a table as soon as possible, taking our bags for safekeeping and even recommending dishes when we were being indecisive!

There was a bit of a queue when we got there,  but the staff were great at keeping us updated and sat us very quickly.  The food was delicious and arrived quickly and they have great coffee. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back there myself!

Delicious food, beautifully presented. Our order arrived quickly and looked great. Large portions. Very much enjoyed order meal and can't wait to try some of there other options.

Amazing food!! We had the Ottoman Days and it was the best poached eggs on yoghurt I’ve ever had. Zeynep, our waitress, was very friendly and helpful. Would definetely come here again.

Selale Restaurant

Selale is such a beautiful restaurant. From the atmosphere to the food, everything was absolutely amazing. I visit Selale often, and this time there were eight of us as I brought my friends along for their first experience of Turkish food. I am happy to say they were not disappointed at all.

It was also a special occasion for one of my friends, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it memorable. They even arranged a cake for her, which made the evening feel extra special and thoughtful. It was a lovely touch that meant a lot to us all.

The food was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and perfectly cooked, and the service was genuinely top tier. A special mention to our waiter Emrah, who was outstanding, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for our table throughout the night.

I honestly cannot fault Selale whatsoever. Everything was lovely, and all of my friends loved it just as much as I do. Highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back again soon. ⭐

Door-to-door kindness and service, just like being hosted by a Turkish family.

The warm and competent service started right at the entrance, and there was never a “no” to any of my requests.

I ordered the Turkish breakfast, which is world-famous and often rated as the best breakfast in the world.
I truly enjoyed the traditional spread with sucuk, olives, different kinds of cheese, börek, and more — and of course, unlimited Turkish tea.

I can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience genuine Turkish hospitality and delicious food.

We had a wonderful experience at this Turkish restaurant. The platter we ordered was presented beautifully, and flavourful. The meats were tender and juicy, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is also very lovely.  I came here before for the İskender Kebab - I highly recommend that too.

Visited Selale Restaurant recently — the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. The food overall was good and nicely presented, but the chicken shish was unfortunately quite dry compared to what I expected from a place with such strong reviews.

The total bill came to £181 for three people, which felt a bit steep for what we had, especially since portions weren’t overly large. On a positive note, they did offer complimentary tea and baklava at the end, which was a nice touch and left a good final impression.

Overall, a decent experience but not quite worth the hype or the price.

The food was simply amazing! We got both of the large platters and it served 12 people (kids and adults). The flavors were delicious. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Amazing experience at Rakkas but I have to say the service was exceptional because of Frenando. He helped fix our shisha, served us and checked up on us all throughout the night. Best experience at a restaurant in a long time. Will be back for sure and a regular spot. Food was exceptional!

I had a lovely brunch here today! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect for an easy Sunday meal. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a terrible experience here from start to finish.

We were met at the door by a staff member screaming at us, then seated almost inside the kitchen with no view of the show. The menu did not have English language we had to translate via a friend sitting with us and Google translator !!
We waited an hour and a half for starters, which arrived tasteless and clearly not fresh. No one checked on us for long stretches of time.

Before speaking to the manager, we finally managed to talk to our waiter who openly agreed with us that the food was not good. Another staff member also said she understood and confirmed that everything we were saying was true.

When we raised this with the manager, instead of addressing the issues, she brought us a bill and insisted we still had to pay because we came for “entertainment” despite the fact that we saw none of it, didn’t eat anything and had already paid a deposit.

Poor service, bad food, and management that is purely money-driven. Completely unprofessional. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place.

We visited Rakkas Lounge for the first time tonight with a friend, and it was absolutely worth the trip even though we came all the way from the other side of London.

Everything was great, from the atmosphere to the service, but I especially want to mention Hakan. His service was outstanding very attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The level of care and attention we received really stood out.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed the evening. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place.

We visited today for the first time and must say we were disappointed with the food we ate. Also the receptionists lack organisation as they were not able to allocate a table although we had reserved. The manager on sight, Zee, managed to seat us and was attentive. She checked up on us in the shisha garden multiple times and managed to bring our mood back up. Also the waiter serving was lovely in the shisha garden.

#Ramadan2019Edition Turkish cuisine is one of the best for Iftar, simply because the portions are always huge!

Naimul ordered Yogurtlu Kebab, which was basically the same as Iskender. It was flavoursome and really filling, as was my Kavuk Sis with Adana Kofte 👌🏽. The rice was a bit bland but the lamb was deliciously cooked and tender. One of the best things about Turkish Restaurants is definitely the warm bread served at the beginning, but the bread here tasted stale. Unfortunately as it was Iftar time, the baklava had finished 😭 and that was the primary reason we visited Antepliler in the first place! 
Service was not the best; some staff were nice while others were dismissive. Either way, most of them almost forgot any requests made within 10 seconds (half our order didn’t turn up, and after not receiving the Kunefe we ordered after 30 mins, we decided to call it a day 🙄) Though some would argue this may only be the case during Ramadan, the whole point of running a successful restaurant is for it to be busy, so there should really be no excuse for lack of organisation and forgetfulness. But there was no service charge on the bill so I guess you get what you DON’T pay for 😂

I've been to loads of Turkish restaurants, but I have to say @antepliler.london really is a cut above the rest. They have a good focus on the use of quality ingredients and no flavour enhancers like MSG .

Pictured is a quality selection of mezes, really top notch food. The main kebebs are definitely better than any other I've tried. Definitely recommend trying this place. They also have really Kunefe as well!

Amil was great!!!

Visited Antepliler Haringey today and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service and food quality were excellent — we only waited around 15 minutes for our dishes.

I had the lamb shish and Adana, while my fiancé had the lamb shish. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. For starters we enjoyed the çiğ köfte and Antep lahmacun, both fresh and delicious.

Our waiter, Amil, was fantastic. He was polite, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. When we asked for the bill, he surprised us with complimentary baklava and tea, which was such a lovely touch.

Highly recommend Antepliler Haringey — great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning!

Since my husband and I moved to London, this has been the only place where we’ve been able to enjoy truly authentic Turkish food — everything is perfect. Every single item on the menu and every member of the staff is absolutely wonderful. But Emin Bey went above and beyond. From the moment we sat down until we left, he took exceptional care of us and guided us throughout. He knows the restaurant inside out and can explain every detail of each dish — what’s in it and how it’s made.

If you ever crave Turkish food in London (they have absolutely everything you could want), this should be your one and only destination.

The service was very fast and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. After we finished our meals, they kindly offered everyone a piece of baklava. While we were talking about how much we enjoyed it, the staff overheard us and brought extra baklava, which was such a lovely touch.

Great food and genuinely warm service — we’ll definitely be back.

“Small” was literally small. The tea was served in tiny cups – not the ones seen on here the cups were more smaller.  The bread came with no salad, was dry, and lacked any effort or care. There was no music or atmosphere – the place felt lifeless.

When I commented on the portion size and mentioned that a smaller plate would’ve made more sense visually, the waiter just smiled and walked away – no explanation, no attempt to help. For what they charge, I expected much better. I won’t be going there again. Very disappointing experience!

Delicious food, very cozy place 👌
we went there once for lunch with my husband and loved it so much than two days later went again, just to go one more time before we leave London! Avocado wrap & sourdough are heaven!

This place is honestly incredible. The food? Top tier. I tried the pancakes a bit on the dry side but the avocado toast completely made up for it. Hands down the best I’ve ever had 🔥. Their coffee and matcha are both delicious, and I also sampled the pastel de nata and French fries so much better than anything you’d get at McDonald’s.
The vibe here is super cozy and the decor is cute, with a big window that brings in tons of light. As for the staff — they’re amazing.
I totally recommend this spot to anyone looking for a chill place to eat great food.

Great brunch place in Manor House!
I’ve been looking for a spot like this in North London for a long time. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent, even though it was really busy. Highly recommend!

Hands down my favourite brunch/cafe spot.

Food is always great no matter what I choose from their menu which also has a good variety. It’s always busy yet you never have to wait extremely long times like at other places! Good service and nice ambience/decor, a place I’d take friends/family when visiting.

I have always seen the place very busy during the weekend, so I decided to have my birthday breakfast at the place as it was not too busy (week day).
The place was quiet and relaxing, could only hear the staff conversing with the clients.
The member of staff that served me was nice and polite. ☺️
My food and chai were perfect.
Especially loved my chai latte, had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. My favourite so far (and I had a couple chai lattes in my life😉).

Food: Since there was four of us, we ordered the (you guessed it!) Full Platter. The platter consists of Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, Adana Kebab, Lamb Ribs and Chicken Wings, with a side of Rice and Bulger. Can’t really complain, the meats are always cooked well and the bulger is amazing. The rice also tastes really good when you have it with the meat.
Service: The food is always brought out quickly so there’s never a wait!

Visited Gokyuzu a while back for a well needed munch and this place did NOT disappoint 😮‍💨👏🏼 The first time I had visited was a few years back, with a large group of about 20+, this dinner was much more intimate and we ate until we couldn’t walk 🥹

INSANE Turkish food, our favourite (and I still dream about this dish) was the Sarma Kuzu Beyti; Seasoned mince Lamb grilled over charcoal, wrapped in lavash bread and mozzarella, topped with tomato sauce and butter - INSAAAAAAAAANE. 🤤👏🏼 Complimentary salad, Tzatziki and fresh bread is also served whilst you browse the menu 🇹🇷🫶🏽

Didn’t rate the Chicken Shawarma- A little on the dry side. Künefe here is definitely up there with my favourite spots in London, the perfect way to finish up our meal with some Turkish tea ☕️

Gökyüzü Green Lanes

Really enjoyed a Friday evening meal here. The food was excellent, the service couldn’t be better, courteous and friendly. Portions were incredibly generous, everything was tasty, and I appreciated the free salad, bread, yoghurt dish and Turkish tea. The Turkish restaurants on Upper St, Islington have stopped giving salad etc at the start of the meal — which I associate with a good Turkish meal — so  I’d rather come here. I was made to feel welcome as a single customer and given a nice table in the early evening. The dinner was reasonably priced given the generosity of the servings.

Only shame was that I couldn’t get a small portion of the fresh chili sauce that often comes with the chicken/meat dishes, they only serve it as a large (paid) portion. One of the waiters kindly gave me some anyway, but I would suggest this is also made available for tables of 1 or 2, as it really complements the meats so nicely.

Highly recommend this place, also there is a nice buzzy atmosphere and no loud music on the night that I visited, so a more relaxed atmosphere despite the buzz, customers didn’t need to shout to be heard.

Met with my friends for an afternoon of catching up. Atmosphere and decor is very nice in this venue. Warm welcome and service.

The food is typical for the area so nothing surprising. However I felt the food that was ordered did not meet my expectations in the end. It was to serve 5 people. There was a lot of meat but in my opinion not enough rice. Usually there is so much food you can take some away.

A proper Turkish restaurant. It was such a nice experience. Nice food full of flavour and cooked properly, nice service and friendly. Really big portions. We tried a lot of dishes and apart from one dish we liked all the rest.

Visiting in the UK, this restaurant was recommended by family members living in the neighborhood. It was an excellent suggestion. The food was delicious, savory and flavorful. The portions were much larger than the menu suggested and we enjoyed it all. Your most difficult choice is narrowing your selections from their extensive menu. You won't regret this meal.

My friend who lives around Hampstead introduced me to this place last year and since then we’ve been regular here to enjoy some genuinely good Turkish food!! The service here is always nice and the mixed platter is very generous and serves delicious meats alongside salad and Turkish rice! A must have and definitely bring your friends along! Good value for money!

This time we were served by Havni & Yaren who were great hosts and we recommend them for their attention to detail and hospitality
